This is for the Campaign crowd.

All I have to say is...I would rather die to do 100 dmg more, than live and do 100 less.

I'm trying to figure out why you are so mad at this :( Campaign is meant to be fun not serious business... well at least to me anyways. TBH you don't lose exp when you die. If you need healing so much try subbing a mage job instead and cure yourself :\

Sure, you don't lose a lot of exp --- directly. You lose 30 for dying, and you also lose any EXP you could get if you didn't die. (IE, everything you'd do while you weren't dead or weakened.) Assuming you get raised immediately, that's still what, 10 minutes of sitting there being useless while you're weakened?

weakened is 5 minutes.

and if you want to cure your self just sub dnc honestly one of the best subs for campaign if you got TP its almost impossible to die >.>

F that, I jump back in while weakened even just so I can continue killing shit.

lol, I'd love to see a scythe while weakened

I'd do it if it weren't for every single fricking mob having an AoE attack. D:

(Except normal quads)

Gear swapping being so necessary yet also breaking a healer's target is just one of many reasons why ffxi fails. Having said that, it's just as easy to type out your heals as it is to macro them, especially in a multi-party environment. Within an alliance, you can also use <a##> to target anyone in the entire alliance super-fast. Outside of an alliance, who cares if they die? If I'm healing random people and their name is retardedly long or hard to spell then I just find someone else to heal.

It's kinda annoying, even with an <st> macro because sometimes they swap just before you hit accept.
But it's not something to cry home about.
And I'll take your offer of no more healing for people who meet you with opposition. All I have are mage jobs anyway ¯\(°_o)/¯

I kinda try to heal myself with drain and aspir and debuff the mob with absorb spells and drain tp until I wait...

until the nm or mobs hp is really low then I go in for the ws kill shot^^

Pretty fun to just go around and absorb crap anyways

All you have to do is type /blockaid on and your good to heal urself and if you start to get too low then /blockaid off.

/blockaid doesn't work in Campaign. Or atleast it didn't when I used to do it a lot.

I can easily bring myself from the measly 32-50 HP I get from R1 during Campaign to over 600 HP/full weakened MP by just doing Drain>Drain2>Aspir.

It's a good strategy, and it allows me to continue fighting even while weakened, and even against the normal-tiered mobs that have AoE attacks.

As a whm I really don't have much of a problem with people gear swapping during Campaign. Yeah, I pick on my hubby for gear swapping when I'm trying to cure him but really it's only a minor annoyance. If they die before you can cure them, it's not much you can do about it so don't stress over it. They won't lose any exp and you get to raise them if you have the mp and there isn't anyone else to cure. The only problem I can foresee is people being impatient about raises. I haven't had anyone mad about waiting for a raise though. If the mob that they were fighting comes after you, repose it. You should have stoneskin and blink up anyway and/or have reraise on you.

I died 5 mins before a Jugner ended. I was right next to the teleport NPC, and my death timer went down to almost the 30:00 minute mark until I got a raise -- from the MNK I was duoing with because he went to town and changed to his WHM. I had a RDM 'fresh himself next to me, and at least 3 WHMs tele out. That's so far my record with impatience with raises. It usually isn't SO bad, ten minutes max, but that one just takes the cake.

Well it's just mean to leave dead people out there like that especially since you were right there by the teleport npc. It's not like they didn't know you were there. Sorry to hear about your bad experience.

/assist <t>
/wait 1
/cure 9000 <t>

with a lot of the yag nms that spam elemental aoes it's usually not safe to get into range, stay away until that final attack is how I prefer, but apples and oranges.

anyone tried drk/dnc for campaign?
