This is Fucked up, Cops should get sued and go to Jail

How much of that video have you seen? Have you seen all of it, or just the cool parts that they've put out so far? Do you know how long he was asking questions before they dragged him out? Do you know how he even got into the room?

I'm willing to wager you don't know shit, and are just basing your entire argument off of a short youtube clip.

And yes, I'm fully aware of the various forms of election mishaps and chicanery that happen every fucking year on both fucking sides. There's not some vast right-wing conspiracy manipulating the voting process, you can take off your tin-foil hat and come outside now.

Do you think he really came barging into the room? If he came barging in with 4-5 cops on him they would have taken him away if he just stopped. Why don't you get that? John Kerry specifically pointed at him and goes yes sir. Where is your proof that he came barging in? Where is your proof that he was talking longer than he already was? I have my proof it's clearly in the video. http://youtube.com/watch?v=HgrFSHZfD1o

You can kindly take off your tin foil cap of how he came barging in.

I don't even see his rights being read.

Tazers cause extreme pain and officers are required to both be hit by a tazer and take a blast of pepper spray in the face before they are allowed to carry ethier,
Could you provide a source for this?
I'm on neither side of the arguement, but I don't think I've ever heard of this happening before.

They do get maced. I'm not sure about the tasering thing.

Romper do you have any clue what you are talking about? I think you watch too many movie or tv shows with cops in them. Miranda rights do not have to be read right when they arrest you. They don't have to be read until they are about to intterogate you. Anything you say before your rights are read can't be held against you.

They are also campus police not actual police.

So if they're campus police why is he getting a felony charge from campus police if they aren't actual police?

So they're using what he said to bring up the charge of disturbing the peace. How can they use that on him? After all he said it before his rights were read.

Because that's the evidence against him and there is proof of it you dumbass.

So once again David Gregory of NBC wasn't tasered for asking President Bush about the Israeli attacks on Syria when Bush said he wouldn't comment. David Gregory didn't allow President Bush to answer disturbing the peace and asked multiple questions! Taser him taser him!

Once again do it once do it to all of 'em based on what you're saying.

That video cuts in when he starts making an ass out of himself, just like the last one. The last one, where you can see the police standing behind him before he starts asking that series of questions.

So, again, how do you know much of anything? You assume that's when he started talking. You assume that he got the mic legitimately, for all you know he ripped it out of someone's hand or jumped the queue. You don't know anything from that video. It's part of what happened, not the entirety of the incident.

Oh, and you fail to use my own argument against me. Try harder next time.

Cut where? It pans from Kerry in the first video the guy is standing there then goes to Kerry back to the guy. I don't know about you I'd say something to someone that jumped the line. From visual evidence he was in line waiting nothing of him jumping the line barging in with cops chasing him. If the cops were chasing him why did they allow him to say anything at all?

You're going off of what a guy says in his poster note yet there's no proof at all.

Right, it cuts from Kerry to him. You do not see him enter. You have no concept of how the event was organized. All you do know is that cops were standing on hand when he has the mic, which may or may not be damning evidence.

You're going off a few minutes of crappy video ripped out of context, note that there's no proof at all.

I stand by my original statement: This was a stunt, and the kid got precisely what he wanted out of it.

It's clearly seen that the cops are there in both videos. Kerry in the second video is talking before Andrew Meyer is at the microphone. In the video the OP posted first there is one person behind him then the girl that filmed the video I posted. In the first video it starts of on Meyer standing with his arms crossed waiting then pans to Kerry. In the 2nd video it starts stays on Kerry til Kerry address Meyer with the point and address of you sir that is in both videos.

Of course cops are going to be at an event with a high profile figure standing right by an exit.

Romper, the organizers of the event ASKED the campus security to remove this guy. it doesnt matter WHAT he was saying WHAT he was doing, its the organizers of the event that made the call. If your gonna be mad at anyone for any violation of rights you think went on, maybe you should be mad at the organizers.

I don't know why I'm even bothering, arguing with you is like arguing with a brick wall. Something tells me that your just one of those idiots that has such a blind hatred for any form of authority, that you wont listen to reason, maybe you had some bad experiences with cops. here maybe this video will help you.

Did you miss the part where I said if you don't want controversy don't put an open microphone out? This would go onto the organizers. The police shouldn't have tasered him when he went onto his stomach for handcuffing. If you watch the 2nd video that had video from the front and not the side you can see him go down onto his stomach. Then they tasered him after he was on his stomach hands behind his back.

Have you ever been tasered?

Have you ever had your shoulder dislocated?

If you can't say "Yes" to both of these questions, in this instance you are not sufficiently qualified to speak about subdual techniques applied to people being placed under arrest.

If you're being placed under arrest, don't resist, and they won't taser you. It's pretty simple, I fail to see what the problem is. Comply with the police, and they won't have to force your compliance. You seem to be operating under the mistaken impression that the police aren't allowed to hurt you if necessary. The police, as it turns out, are allowed to kill you fucking dead if necessary. Admittedly, that will result in more inquiries and paperwork, but the fundamental principle is the same.

And here's the kicker: That kind of power is necessary to uphold the law.

I firmly believe in this.

The police, as it turns out, are allowed to kill you fucking dead if necessary.
But I nearly pissed my pants lol'ing at this, because it's true.

Only problem is that those aren't police officers, they're campus security.

well, he cut in line and was essentially verbally attacking Kerry. He was disturbing the peace.. that is why he was removed. Kerry wanted to answer his question, but by that time, the kid was being removed and was resisting the police efforts. I think they did right in tasing him. He was being outright aggressive in his speech and then disobedient towards officers. If he had walked out quietly like he was asked, they probably wouldn't have charged him with much of anything.

The whole thing would not have occurred if he hadn't cut in line. He could have asked his questions, if he waited like everyone else was lol.

It's notable, though, that the campus cops are packing heat. There are generally a fair amount of hoops to jump through for a law enforcement organization to carry firearms.

Edit: It's also significant that he was warned, repeatedly, that failure to comply with directions would result in him getting tased. It's not like the cops just started randomly shocking him.

Excuse me, what?
I don't think it's necessary to need to have been subjected to these things. A dislocated shoulder may hurt like a bitch, but the slightest amount of electricity in the wrong spot will kill the strongest of men dead where he stands. Just because the taser is able to subdue someone relatively safely does not mean it is not a dangerous, potentially deadly weapon.

Its use was not necessary, nor was it warranted. Yes, police have the power to do what is necessary to uphold the law. This was not, and it rarely is, considering all the use tasers get.

It's also extremely significant if these were not full-fledged police officers. This raises even more questions to be honest.

Florida... *Yawn.. Florida University... *yawn. Florida police *yawn. posted topic / cnn report on all that shit... *yawn.
