This is why teenagers don't run economies

Wait, how is someone saying an Amemet +1 has no advantage over a normal Amemet. >.>; If all it added extra was jsut +1 str then yes, but that's not the case.

Normal Amemet Mantel has +10 to attack and ranged attack (ranged attack doesnt really matter to me though, as a Drk) and a +1 to Str.

Amemet +1 has +15 to attack and ranged attack and +2 to str. While the +1 to str doesn't nessicarily have a huge impact, it's nice to have. But the additional +5 to attack is quite nice, and though it may not seem like much alone, added with the rest of the gear I have with + attack, it adds up quite nicely.

The +5 to attack and ranged attack is the whole reason people even buy it compared to the NQ the +1 str there as a nice little bonus.

I have to agree with Pere on this overall issue, buying a Forager's +1 just isn't nessicary when you can the same item -1 str (which makes little difference) for far less gil.

no one said it is necessary, we said it is better.

Shut up Meeze. Stay out of this! :P

Err, where +1str would parse more then +10% acc.

Oh you signed it. Just too stupid to know you did. Since you're not on my train, and my train was saying that 1 strength will NOT beat 10% more accuracy in a meleeing set, you believe it does. You said so yourself right there. Plain as day.

O.o Now this I don't get, but maybe there's something buried in this thread I didn't bother to read. Where is this 10% accuracy coming from. It sure isn't the Amemet +1.

Skaw claimed that by having nothing different but 1 more strength, that he beat a monk with 10% more pure hitting accuracy in non-skillchain damage. That is, skaw hit for 80%. Another monk hit for 90% And because skaw had 1 more strength than the other monk he out-DoT'd him independent of skillchaining.

Your advice is to buy a fluorite ring instead.
I have rings.
Im waiting.

No it's not, dimwhit. Wait all you want. Maybe the lightbulb will come on eventually.

So this means you cant and wont answer?
Thats a great way to defend your point.
And you call other people kids....

Ah.. Better? Technically yes, it does have higher Def and +1 to Str added to the same stats Amemet +1.

The first page and the TITLE would lead me to believe the argument is if that paying 1 mil+ more for that tiny little difference is worth it. Answer: No, not at all.

Then why do you buy the amemet+1?

BTW if you want to settle this....
I will buy back an Amenmit+1. We can take a little trip, and test your theory. Get the parsers on and see how much this really adds up too.

Do it. Parse 150 fights, 50 with amemet+1, 50 with forager's mantle, and 50 with nothing on. Have a friend pick from 3 numbers from a hat to decide what trial you're on...have them put it on your character so you don't know which you're playing. Do not skillchain or change equipment. Just pure melee for 50 fights on the same mob sets. At the end of 50 fights, have the friend pick from another setup from the hat.

I will guarantee you that your +1 strength will up and disappear like a fart in the wind, and the parse data will show that. 50 fights is very small though. I'd rather you do 100 per trial on the same mobs, but we all know that'll never happen. Heck, 50 will never happen. We'll just have morons continue to spend 1.3 million gil on blind-faith that they really are being the best they think they are.

Peregrine has no valid points.
He cant back up his own statements.
He spews out bullshit he makes up and
calls people kids or idiots when he fails
to defend his make beliefe stats. He
makes huges assumptions on how other
peoples economics looks like.

This is done.

for one mil, you can't buy 1str anywhere else. i guess you arent going to upgrade ruby rings, to flames, or minuet earring to triumph. average drk, but that doesn't make sense since you are willing to buy +1 hauberk, thats almost 5 mil for 1 str, 1dex, i think 2 att and 2 acc. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. what the feezey?

Maybe you missed the first post I made in here, last page.

The reason you buy the amemet +1 is for the additional +5 to attack and ranged attack. If it were just a +1 to attack, then I wouldn't have the +1. The +1 to str is there kinda of as a nice little bonus.

The only difference with the Foragers +1 and the Amemet +1 is +1 Str, and some def. That +1 Str isnt nearly as noticable as +5 to attack.

Another great statement in defense of your points.
Keep it up Peregrine, i think your points will come through
to us soon.

Your train claims +1 str is worth nothing.
Your train claims its ok to pay 1,295,000 for the extra str
on amemit+1, but not the 1,000,000 for the another extra str
on foragers.
Your train claims by buying the foragers i loose 10% acc.
Your train claims that if you buy the Foragers mantle you cant
have good gear for capped events.

Thats the train your on.
And yes, im not jumping on that one.

Your advice is to buy a fluorite ring instead.
I have rings. Am i to put the fluorite ring in my
back piece slot?

Now please quote where i said that i believed +1 str would
parse more dmg then +1 str.

Now answer.

I havent decided on whethere to upgrade rings, as im not at that point yet, I might, I might not.

The +2 to attack and accuracy is why i want the Hauberk +1. Why am I willing to get that rather than anything else, mainly because its quite frankly the last piece of gear ill ever be needing for my body, aside from maybe.. maybe getting Adaman Hauberk.. but we all know how easy that is to obtain...
