As if being a dick to his fans, a pedophile and abusive to women wasn't shitbagging enough for this shitbag, he can also put thief in to his resume. Oh wait, he was already a thief, holding a "charity" and then spending the money on a gift for someone who wasn't what the charity was for.

Discuss. Because you won't be able to on the CAD forums if Buckley has anything to say about it(As of now, twothree threads on the CAD forums have been made, each deleted.)

Copyright is often harder on the plagiarist than it is on the creator.

Who is Tim Buckley?

A hack.

Startling new developments.

Oh, I was just looking up clothing references and found one I liked. So I copied the entire image wholesale.

But there was nothing villainous about it, you see. Because I'm Tim Buckley.

Tim Buckley.

Next question: Who the fuck cares and why would you waste your time posting a thread about him.

Aren't you just feeding into the drama?

Who the fuck cares about stealing other peoples art?

Anti-intellectualism at it's best.

I care. I'm sure there are artists on this forum, or even fans of artists, who absolutely despise people who resort to stealing others creations for themselves. Or maybe people who they themselves have had a work or piece stolen. And ultimately, I'm posting a thread about this fiasco to shine light on it, because Timmy boy likes to have his way, and that means complete black outs of all things negative against him.

I'm really enjoying his selective memory tonight.

And yet, he continues to make a fool of himself.

He really isn't getting it that it's not just the clothes he has copied.

I used to like his comic but after that whole dead baby bit it's gone downhill. I think the only comic that I laughed at since then was a Monster Hunter one he did.

My favorite part is "Speaking as an artist." Rearranging clip art has to be the loosest interpretation of "artist" I've ever heard. The second is the insinuation that drawing someone in the most generic outfit in existence (t-shirt and jeans) is in any way similar to copying an entire ensemble down to the color of the streaks in the hair. Now if made up t-shirt guy was a dim-witted Marty Stu that the universe bend over backward for to please, he might be onto something.

Also:
Duddit's quote said:
The comic is notorious for being the worst comic ever created.
Hey now, Eric "Dumok" Flores has worked long and hard to earn that title for his... emissions.

should I assume none of you know what plagiarizing is? Because this isn't plagiarizing.

Bad artists copy. Good artists steal.

I, too, don't like Tim Buckley, but it is quite obvious you don't know what plagiarizing is.

Its true what he said, he's taken inspiration from it. I agree, perhaps a bit too much inspiration, but he still made it in to his own style, which is not plagiarizing. It would never hold up in court.

I know that it's not actually plagiarism. I think it's the fact that he couldn't even be bothered to at least change some colors that people are upset about. Even when he actually had to do some work and make the new character, he's still lazy. He isn't called B^Uckley for nothing.

This. It's not plagiarism in the least.

You want to see some plagiarism? Take a hard look at Greg Land's (of Marvel Comics) work:

To bad The Perry Bible Fellowship isnt still around. Theres a good webcomic for you.

Just because he's a hack who can't draw doesn't disqualify him from being caught stealing peoples character designs and passing them of as his own.

From what I've read he seems like trash. There is artistically borrowing ideas, but pretty much copying a whole picture is a bit much.

@Tomasello Just because this thread didn't interest you doesn't mean others wouldn't want to read it.

This is... a gray area of plagiarism. I mean, there are entire reference works devoted to the exact thing that he did, so it's not like artists never bother ideas from other artists.

All things considered, he probably should have told the original artist, and then it would most likely have been a non-incident. Given the seething hatred he seems to inspire in some people, it would behoove him to take extra precautions, since he's not going to get away with the kind of things that pretty much everyone else does.

What? he's a good artist drawing-wise. Sure, he stole the character design from someone else, but he still made it in to his own style.

You can't say he's bad at drawing.
