It's already been done. You're late. However, the DMG is easily surpassable by any any decent Melee DD class. "Boo hoo" you say? yup sure but imagine taking something to 70+ like your PLD per say and they make a rule..."SJ will now be innactive for ALL jobs and you're no longer a tank". What now?

First off, It hadn't been done in the flameboard, where people don't have to pull punches. I'm sorry ya got nerfed. While I think it will turn out for the best, I can understand being pissed.

That being said, I have reached the limit of caring. It's done, you had your chance to cry in your beer, time to pay the barkeep, get a good nights sleep, and stop whining so fucking much.

There is a huge diffrence between this and what happened to you. This is the equivilant to say your now a healer or somthing. your job is fundamentally the same, you just have to adjust your tactics now. Yeah, it will require more skill, but you'll just have to deal.

But no seriously, the nerf wasn't that bad. He still kept up with his TP (not spamming arrows even) and still did nice damage.

At least it would keep me on my toes instead of leaning on one hand yawning while the other just keeps the macro's going to keep the hate... :\
although there probably woulndt be too much of a change, even if they decreased hate its not like I would have to completely change my tactics, I dont have to move to any "set range" to get the most hate out of something. Unless you want to talk about thf parties, but those just add a little flavor to otherwise the same job.

Now that I think back on it I remember that the TP gimp had pretty much fucked up all the drg's so long ago, this is basically the same type of deal for rng's. I'd rather keep the good dmg rangers did so I can level up faster with them in my pt. I think its funny that SE gimped a Job that you actually had to pay gil to play to its most effectiveness. While the other Melee DD's just had to worry about equipment. Although Nin would still be the most expensive job out there >.o

the night before in level 57 xp pt (not standing next to mob, not at optimum range) my EES did 3 damage. the next night in 58 pt, my EES missed with sharpshot on. rng is now crap.

your rngs must suck then. pre-patch i hit easily 90%+ including WS. post-patch i hit around 50%. hell, i miss on too weak mobs at optimum range now.

I would learn to deal. If they gimped magic, whm wouldn't grab hate as bad. If they just gimped my ja's, well, I would use magic more.

Either way, I would adapt.

And you are exactly the kind of rng that everyone dislikes and feels no sympathy for about the change. You're coming off as an arrogant prick who thinks that every other DD is a waste of a slot. To those people, I'm ecstatic that this change happened, just to shut them the hell up. I never had a problem with most rng's, just the ones that were "too good" for any other DD.

Before the update happened, someone posted the prices on gear for one melee and a rng. From that post, the melee spent way more money on gear than the rng did. The only real drain on a rng's wallet is ammo, and there are plenty of ways you can make up for that. You knew what the job entailed when you started it, so don't act like you're surprised how expensive it is, and stop bitching about how much you spend. You don't see whm's complaining about how much they have to cure or rdm's about how much they have to enfeeb. Your job shoots money, get over it.

Once again, I fail to see the need for rng's to pull hate all the time. I've asked it twice and have failed to get a response so far. Once you find your ideal range, you should just stay there. If you pull hate, have the tank voke or something and bring the mob back to him and back into your ideal range. Complicated, isn't it?

I challenged on 3 other threads for a ranger to find a thread from before this announcement where a Melee was pissed about RNG being overpowered. Do it.

Stop bitching because you hafta spend "more money" to do things because it's 10x easier for you to make money than it is for a PLD or a DRK or a BRD, while 2/3 of those jobs aren't expensive, they farm for shit. I know as a PLD I can't kill anything fast enough to be considered effective farming unless it's 30 levels below me. Now RNG hafta bitch about not being able to farm except at a 30 level buffer, welcome to my world. I never bitch about my ability to solo anything because, honestly there are better ways to make money for each job, if you need to farm so bad, do what I was told to do by everyone, LEVEL THIEF. RNG have widescan, making it easy to camp NMs. Camping with a small team of 2-3 people you can easily get the claim with shadowbind on a very profitable NM.

Oh no, RNG can't solo for exp anymore. BIG FUCKING DEAL. If you want to solo exp, level BST. It's as simple as that. Also, what mobs did you solo for exp before? I know for a fact it wasn't anything other than worms, and since they're planted in the ground, you can stay at optimal distance anyway. I'm sure you'll say "but now I can't do that because my accuracy sucks" and you're a fucking retard if you say that. RNG have by far the most +Acc gear out there and you'd hafta be dumb for not using some of it.
