Looks dang nice.

I always find it funny though looking at where the tradeoffs have to be made to get that kind of detail on models. The outdoor ground and foliage looks awful. XD
 
I agree. Some looks good, some looks real bad. The outdoor detail and the mech look like shit. Why would you title it something as insane as sell MS stock tho is beyond me man. Well see what the game looks like closer to release. They could be bull shots, there are GeoW bull shots out there that still look better then this lol.

The third and fifth shot look very good.
 
The images look nice, 4 is my favorite. I really want to see the game in motion. Imperfections that can be seen in still images can't be noticed when playing and visa versa.
 
Haven't seen the Gears of war pics, and I don't doubt they look better, and who even knows if they're bullshots or not. What I can say is that these are in game according to devs. How it'll end up looking on the PS3 when released, I dunno, but people claimed Ratchet and Clank early screens were bullshots and the game ended up looking better when released.

Just a side note, I don't think it's fair to compare games to Gears of War. First off, it's no longer the king really. Secondly, it's a lame comparison, because Gears has like 2 bad guys spawned in the game at a time and it takes place in small, cramped corridors. Compare that to a Halo 3 or Resistance where you're outside in the middle of a war, with vehicles and tons of friendly and enemy AI at once. Gears of War LOOKS better than Halo 3 or Resistance, but I got sick of Gears after like 2 hours. Resistance with it's comparatively ugly graphics I've beaten several times, and Halo 3 which almost looks like an Xbox 1 game I will probably play another times though or even more because they focused on putting in great mechanics at the expense of killer graphics.

-By the way, I know it's a weird comparison, but Resistance looks actually better than Gears on a standard def TV.

Besides all that, Resistance is coming this holiday. I dunno about Gears. It's possible but unlikely they'll have UT3 and Gears both done this year for 360. Are they gonna kill the 360 port of UT3? It might make sense to get Gears out for Christmas but who knows, they may anticipate big sales on the 360 after Gears for UT3.

I dont realy know the release either, and any delay can happen no matter what dev is making the game. Most of your post is your opinion so i dont feel the need to answer any of that. I can say tho judging these visuals compared to the original Resistance, they are much improved.

and Insomniac has been VERY good with their release dates. I don't see them being unable to deliver at the time they've set specially since they already know the PS3's coding requirements and all that stuff so they should move faster than most. But, there are always uncertainties so we'll just have to wait and see.

On topic, game looks nice. Trying to get my boss to give me a PS3 free. >_>;
 
Firestreak says good stuff about a lot of things :P just not about Microsoft usually. Which I agree, M$ sucks. Bastards don't test their shit :( I don't see why people still buy when they don't properly test crap. Ah well.. stupidity runs rampant in our society.

The more you post the more ignorant you get. There are tons of reasons to hate each company in gaming. MS, sony and even nintendo... Why you hate whom ever is your buisness but dont try to pin your bull shit on others. If anything just shut up and be happy there is still competition in gaming.
 
I'm mostly fine with Microsoft as long as they don't do to the console industry what they did to the computer industry. I'm sure they want to but I doubt they can. Monopoly can't be maintained since every new generation is a fresh start. As for the 360 I wasn't going to buy it until I could be sure I had a more stable model and I frankly don't understand the people who got broken models and responded by buying more 360s. Seemed like a silly thing to go through when the PS3 was an alternative. Library wise they're not all that different.

Because i'd say about 90% of the people who got broken 360's got new ones for free, whereas getting a PS3 would be another $500-600 (depending on time, and for any respectable model) of money that they may or may not have.

and you're truly ignorant if you actually BELIEVE microsoft creates quality hardware or software. NAME ONE PIECE of hardware or software in the last ten years they made which did not have some unbelievably horrible bug or problem. Every windows since about 95 (at least 98 from my memory), every Office, every whatever.. everything has had a major problem. I can understand minor problems but the fact they keep producing utter shit until a good 2-3 years AFTER their product is released when they finally have enough complaints about a problem that it is fixed.

You seem to completely miss the point of ossy's post. It was that you seem to have blatent MS hatred/PS3 fanboyism, why i have a pretty good hunch you have never played an x360 for more than maybe an hour? He was saying that there are reasons to hate everything, including your god sony, and nintendo. Be glad that MS can't totally dominate the video game industry like they do the PC, or else you would only be stuck with your precious books.
 
lol, I actually have problems with both Sony and Nintendo but I have a larger problem with Microsoft. Microsoft has the highest failure rates it seems of any company yet they continue to have business. It's obvious they buy off more people than God. And I just hate things like that. You M$ fanboys seem to have a problem admitting the falacy of that company. However, I'm no fool. I will admit they are good at business when it comes to advertisement, when it comes to their stock market, and other various things. Hell, Microsoft wouldn't be where it is without perhaps their best business technique done. Where every time the shares reached 100 for one share they'd have a market split and that got more and more people buying. Before them I can't really think of too many businesses that did it.

And I have played the 360 a lot more than you prolly guess. Hell, at my cousin's I play it with him all the time which I'm usually at at least once a month. At my best friend's house as well (which I'm at more). I enjoy the games I play on it but I have a problem that there are so many problems with so many products that M$ releases.
