who think they're gonna undercut me in the shade gear market:

Fuck YOU. Thats just not gonna happen. I don't have a problem with AH undercutters, i undercut myself sometimes. But for fucks sake, don't undercut by 10-20% of the item's price.

I was making a nice little profit until some dumb fucks decided to start undercutting 5-10k on 50-60k items. So now you've left me with two choices, i can bend over and take it, and then just stop making the shit, or i can redefine undercutting for you, ass. Anybody who truely knows me i think can see whats gonna happen next.

The only reason there are not 14 shade pieces up on jueno AH from me right now (at discount rates) is that I spent every last gil i had tonight on an astral rope :), but don't worry, I'll have plenty of cash by tommorow, and then some fuckers are gonna wish they'd never pissed me off.

p.s. I make my own photoanima(and have half a stack on hand right now) and have enough skill to HQ 20% of my shade gear, so this is probably gonna hurt the other guys alot more than it hurts me.

some people are just dumbasses. :?

Take it till either A) it blows over, or B) people stop poking at your market. I've had some great profit synths go to shit cause someone got flood happy and undercut by several HUNDRED Ks

OK this is what happens to me.When i put synth materials for sale they never really sell the first time cuz someone is undercutting. And when i bid on my equip i can't bid even like 10k above the price it was last sold.... so i'm fcked both ways.

Is it the same people undercutting over and over, or is it a bunch of different people?

If its a bunch of different people, its probably just people who are selling their old gear and it should past in time. However, if it's the same people over and over, let the crafting war begin and good luck to ya. 8)

I guess I always thought that undercutting was part of free enterprise.

No sympathy from me.

Yea, no sympathy...And one day, when you go to sell back that piece of expensive equipment you no longer need, only to find it has dropped by 200k+ because of undercutters...You will not be singing the same song.

You make a good point.

Its unfortunate that they decided to play it that way, but if thats how its gonna be then i'll play and i'll win.

btw, if anybody needs any shade gear, or +1 shade gear, let me know.

Hey Noxx, any chance I can comission you to make me a signed peice of +1? Get with me in game and we can discuss prices.

The best part is how you screw over other people who may want to sell that too. I own a full set of shade gear that I bought for a friend (loaned), I was planning to sell the set back when whm was 55 so I don't "lose" money on raiseII. So much for that idea =/

I don't care for undercutting, or profiteering either. Seeing someone jump the price of a given item by 100-200% in a single sale bugs me to no end, as does the reverse. I've had a lot of stuff that I put serious cash out to buy, only to see it lose half its value practically overnight.

How much is a full set of shade gear?

At current AH prices a full set of NQ costs alittle around 200-210k

Been there, done that. I'm still singing the same song.

You make the best point. If it's war you want, then wage one. If you have the largest portion of the market, you will win.

However, ask yourself this. Is it worth it to move stock more quickly for a smaller price, or is it more worth it to stick to your guns and get a higher price? Keep in mind that when it comes to undercutting in the strictest definition of the word, people will see that in price listings. If one item sold for 20% less than the other previous nine, then someone obviously was trying to unload something, and the price will not stay low. However, if the last six listings all appear to be "undercutting", then that is what we call a market trend.
