ToAU42 1/4 and an amazing ending to it all!

So we were trying to do this somewhat difficult mission. This was the 4th attempt. We were all rested to full and went in to attack the final form of the boss. We had NIN DRK DRG BST and RDM x2. The boss started using big aoe abilities and next thing I know everyone is at 100 HP, naja was still full. I spam cures til I have no mp. I go down. Then the DRG goes down. Then the Bst, Nin...then the other RDM converts and then drops. We are all down and have 3 min til we are booted out. Naja then 2 hours and hundred fists. Just then, the other RDM reraises up, casts Cure IV on naja, casts Thunder III on the boss, and tossed a cure III on Naja again before he was killed again.

Naja kills it for us. I gotta say, that was the most insane ending to a fight I've seen. Thanks for everyone who came... WOOT 1/4 but we got it done... :D or was it 1/5, meh we won. ^^;;
 
You're story telling needs help.. let me see if we can work this so it does our story justice.

So no shit there I was, knee deep in the mud. I'm traveling through the ruins of Nyzul Isle with a few companions. We do well on the first two forms no deaths, Naja doesn't even get hit. We get to the psycheflayer and we go in. We're zerging this mofo with our DRK reigning down some heavy hits, our DRG jumping all over the place, the BST calling critters from all over Vanadiel, and the NIN using his JP Button. The boss does that massive Bio move that eats everyone's health when me and Shag start throwing out cures like they're candy at a Christmas day parade. Shag pulls hate and gets gobbled up, NIN BST drop from the Bio. DRK Blood Weapons but can't land hits cause its chasing me around. DRG is lol. Finally realizing its just myself, Naja, and the DRG alive I quickly throw a dia on it thinking we'll raise up and zombie rush this thing. Well I convert and got hit with AOE and BAM I'm down. I'm waiting for it to give me the option to raise up, the DRG drops while we're all down. The boss starts pounding on Naja and I get to RR. I just converted so I have full MP weakened. I Cure4 Naja, Thurder3 the flayer, and Cure3 Naja before I'm out of mp. Flayer says "RAWR GOBBLE GOBBLE BAD RMDZ" and kills me. I die... Its at 2%... We're sitting there waiting for our 3 min timer when BAM Naja drops the NM with a move like something you'd see off Girls Gone Wild... We all get the CS after and then port out dead in front of Nyzul.

anyway I just typed a longer version of shag's story lol....
 
If 42 baffled you, good luck on 44/Alexander. It's a fun fight when you win, but I was 0/20some with a group that was 5/6 on 42.

ToAU is a joke until the last fight, but regardless, congrats!
 
lol glad you won, sounded like fun.

PS: Lec, Hollie, Schmedly, Moriarti, and Zoltan. We beat 44 with 5 people. pld-rdm-whm-rng-war. Trust me, you'll do fine on ToAU44, just stay alert and alternate your healing of the tank. Ninja won't work due to AoE's
 
Your story made it sound cooler...lol, except when I realized you kept calling me Shag... O_o and skye reminded me that as soon as you convert, bio ate you :D lol, but yeah Psy, you made this victory happen...and we look forward to Alexander and all the wipes that will most likely ensue.
 
The ToAU missions were my favorite. We went 1/1 on 42 then 1/42089324323432 when we went back to Bry through it so we could pwn Alexander. That bitch Naja just kept doing dumb shit and getting herself killed.

Good luck on Alexander. That's the only end-fight where I actually felt like we did something awesome because that fight is hxc. We beat it with LITERALLY 2 seconds left.
 
Tim Wakefield, I thank you for setting us up with fear, or attempting to, lol jk ^-^...we just went 1/1 on Alexander. Set up was DRG BLU PLD BLM and x2 RDM (I subbed whm and psy /drk) I am going to say, yeah, it was an insaaaaane fight BUT I will wait for Psy's post, I am sure it'll be insanely awesome and full of adjectives. LoL.....his story telling ways are amazing. Now that I got the crown, time to pass out...LoL.

Yes I agree 42 was nuts but 44 was the biggest challenge, that took me many trys to complete.

Congrats on a job well done Shaddix, and good fortune with Nashmeira's Plea . :)
 
lol congrats man. Like I tell everyone; good luck finding equipment that the crown will match with. It clashes with everything! XD
 
Congratulations on your win.

I went 1/1 on ToAU 44, and finished it with time to spare. We went 1/3 on 42 though, I always thought it was more of a challenge.
 
Lmao, thanks. And yeah, this crown sticks out A LOT. Now to tackle CoP...people say if I thought ToAU was hard, get ready for CoP. At Snoll at the moment, I hear stories about airship and chapter 8. Yay /panic, but thanks again ^^;;
 
Both RDMs chainspelled and the BLM manafonted as the 1 minute warning went off, so had to have had about 40-45 seconds left. It was close, although I hear of people winning with seconds to spare.
