Tonberry Pwnage

Found this today on another FFXI forum that I post on, thought it was hilarious and would be fun to share with y'all.

I haven't had my hate reset in over 3 years and since then I've camped Thf knife and fish bones (with the worst luck). Grudge easily one-shots me, but they didn't let me tank ZM5 to see rancor. =( Next time I'm out there I'll have to give Bonze a poke.

Avatars take like double or triple dmg so that SS doesn't really count...its like the SS's on high dmg on the goldfish in sea or those hounds. I did see a SS of a regular person taking like 35k.

Actually avatars don't take extra damage from it. This person obviously used SMN for killing massive amounts of Tonberry. In the chat log if the avatar delivers the final blow it reads:

"Fenrir defeats Tonberry Trailer"

Fenrir's tonberry death list goes up +1 not the person who summoned it. I'm not sure if each avatar has their own list or all avatars share it, but that's how it works.

I didn't find that 35k one but found a good enough one:

I could of sworn I heard that Avatars took double damage, must of been mistaken then.

There it is and I mixed it up I saw that Avatars take half damage so that previous pic would of been insane.

LOL so then a player would have taken close to 100k+ damage? @_@;
