They're both Japanese boxes. The reason why the X-Box 360 box is drastically different, is because it's the base game and all three expansions compared to just the expansion.

Pretty sure the Chains of Promathia NA and JP versions had the same box/case.

The boxart for FFXI and Zilart is the background for my POL viewer right now, just because they're awesome. I like his art. ToAU PS2 box is a little odd with the coloured border, but other than that I like it. And CoP had awesome boxart too.

Hmm... the cover to me doesn't really matter with the expansion, just as long as the expansion itself is good. Anyways, since it's difficult to find a PC or ps2 version of this game now (at least for me) I wonder if SE will release more PC, PS2 versions of FFXI once the Xbox 360 is released, since I would like to get a PC version as well, and maybe play two accounts.

prolly gonna be the same as the PS2's art remember... XBox 360's = all the expansions and full game in one where as PS2 = just expansion and PC will be just expansion too

Slight bump, not sure if this has been posted yet, but XBOX 360 FFXI Boxart for NA? Looks lame if that's what they're using. Not sure of NA ToAU boxart for ps2/pc though.
