How to make BLU not pay out the ass:
*Make Robe drops common.
*Make Soulflayers not so fucking assholish to fight.

Yeah, if they aren't gonna change the mob then they need to make it at least a 50% drop rate.

Yes I come back from work at 7 and they always do the maintenance at this time... :shok:
I am starting to hate them!

How to: BLU AF
1) get a 6-person party (4 people can kill a soulflayer given the right set up)
2) set aside a couple of hours
3) kill them
4) stay untill you get a drop
5) rinse and repeat

It really is not that hard. People might use the argument "But I don't have a couple of hours to set aside!". Well, then you better quit this game right now as even exping requires you to set a couple of hours aside. And if you have time to exp, you sure as hell have time to kill soulflayers.

Now, you may or may not have friends that can help you kill soulflayers, but I'm sure some other BLU's do, and you can feel free to shout in Jeuno/Al Zahbi about it. It really isn't THAT bas as people make it seem =/

And if you REALLY need to know, almost every single item needed for BLU AF are all farmable. Karakul Cloth? farm the wool, synth them in to cloth. Need 12 Karakul Wool to make 1 Karakul Cloth, and you only need 1 of them. Karakul Leather can also be farmed from Karakul Wool. Chimaera Blood can be found on Puks. The only items you can't farm, are Gold Chain and Venom Potion. But those are really not that expensive, I highly doubt anyone's economy at 50+ will be ruined from paying roughly 210k.

On another note, there are lots of people paying anywhere from 100 to 500k for their AF coffer key for other jobs. 210k is nothing compared to that, and you can always pay some people 100k each to help you get a Soulflayer Robe, or just buy one later when the price goes down (even if they never added another source).

Basically, yhe only people that really are complaining, are the ones that are too lazy to get their spells, and too lazy to set aside some time to get their AF because they just want to get to 75. Sorry, but there's a limit to what IGE can get you.

Can 6 level 55-60 kill a coffer mob? Yes
Can 6 level 55-60 get to where a soulflayer is, and then kill it? If the answer isnt "yes, as easily if not easier than getting a coffer" then SE screwed up.
Finding 5 lvl 75s isnt that easy for some people, many only have thier social LS's to draw from, and they generaly arent stocked with 75's who can drop what they're doing to help.

no, but as I also said, you can always shout in Al Zahbi for other BLU's to help you. It really is not that hard.

And I'm not saying SE didn't screw up, because they sure as hell did. I'm saying that if you want the AF, you can get it. No matter what the difficulty is, so there really is no reason to complain other then to say "look at me, I'm helpless!"

and what, get an alliance that needs around 15 robes? Comes back to the drop rate.

Since when do you need an alliance to kill a lvl 80 mob? We killed them just fine with 6 people, one of them being 63 (RDM).

Comes back to it, Can a party of level 60's kill the mob.
Not "a party of 75's with a low level"

He meant an alliance of lvl 60ish blus who all need the robes...

Party of lvl 60 < lvl 80 mob

Then you can go several days, and that's not the point. The majority of the people lvling BLU have atleast a higher lvl job. And I'm sure if you get a party of 8, atleast 3 of them will have a higher lvl job, and I'm sure they or some of the other 5 members can get friends that's willing to help. And 8 robes does not take that long time to get.

you don't need to get 18 people just to get robes, you just need 4 people with lvl 75 jobs unless all of them are mage jobs. Hell, I'm sure any melee job could tank the soulflayers, they hit rather weak.

And Marajade's point was that you dont need a lvl 75 pt for the older coffers/AF and therefore SE fucked up. Nothing else to it.

That it, BLU needs lvl 75 help. Coffers dont need that level of help. so why should BLU.

6 lvl 60~ can kill coffer mobs with acceptable speed.
6 level 60's probably cant even get to a soulflayer without help.
The Silk cloth is the equivalent of a coffer key for BLU.
Why the difference? Why couldnt they just make it drop off laimas at the entrance and be done

Mind telling me exactly how many lvl 60's go kill coffer keys as a party? Every lvl 60 first-jobbers I see ask lvl 75's to help.

They also ask for lvl 75's to help them kill their AF mobs.

it really isn't that much of a difference. While yes, a party of lvl 60's COULD do it for the normal jobs, how many do?

They ask for lvl 75 help because they are too lazy to get a pt. Doesnt mean a lvl 60 pt cant do it. And it doesnt matter how many do it or not, the dificulty is still increased. Now you need a pt 75s instead of 1 or 2.

Hell I can SOLO some coffer keys on drk, you wont see me getting anywhere near a flayer solo, or anyone else for that matter.

That's still the thing though, just because a party of 60's can't do it that doesn't mean they do. My whole point is that people are lazy, and when something actually requires effort to do, and they can't just pick up gil at IGE to get it, people complain.

I too thought it sucked when I got my AF, but the more and more I think about it, it was actually extremely fun teaming up with people I usually don't speak to to achieve a goal that all of us are interested in. God forbid people actually speak to people they do not know. Getting the robes was probably one of the more fun things I've done, and the 7 hours we were in there flew past very fast, something it doesn't even do while exping.

Hell, people team up 18 up to 64 for Dynamis, so why not team up 18 to get AF? While yes, it will take time, it was quite a lot of fun. And I got a lot of limit points too.

Never seen ANYONE pay 500k for a coffer key, but hey, if you know anyone who's willing to fork out the dough, let me know.

But I have seen (and I farmed) people paying 650k for blizzard4, and that's even less difficult, so... you're probably on point.

Anyway, as far as imperial silk is concerned, the price will eventually drop anyway. Price is high because people want the brand new shiny AF NOW!
