Had to redownload this because it wouldn't install the first time and I must say it is wintastic. Running up and stabbing a raptor through the neck or slitting its throat is amazing, not to mention the stealth kills on people. And the bow, ohh the bow is so made of win. The graphics were pretty good too. Can't wait to try this out online too. I remember playing turok back in the day on the 64, brings back good memories.

It was pretty awful to me. I got stuck after getting out of the cave looking around for dinosaurs and got bored. Never liked the original Turok either. Goldeneye owned it all over. Something tells me Haze is gonna shit all over Turok too, just like back in the day. =p

Now Turok 64 I loved, but this game just doesn't feel right to me. One thing that pissed me off, and I am not sure if I am just retarded, but the only time I could use the knife was when they forced me to. I wasn't able to switch to it whenever I wanted, which to me is just plain stupid. That and switching weapons in general was kind of bogus with the stupid "Hold' the button to switch to a new weapon, when they don't even tell you what that weapon is.

Turok was great way back then. I dont think at all Golden eye owned it lol. They were far too different. Turok had some bad ass weapons and WTF a BOW! Nothing was cooler then that energy bow from back then. Anyways from this demo the game is odd. Something felt off, not sure if it was something you can just configure in the menu. I end up with the game anyways, turok has good memories for me;;

EDIT: Also fire, Haze has been delayed lol. Somewhere in the 2008-2009 fiscal year for Ubi. They have no date but are saying after April the earliest i guess.

Turok 64 and Goldeneye were equal to me back then, both awesome. This game doesnt feel right, probably won't look at it again.

As far as Haze goes. With all the delays, I think they know their product sucks and won't stand up to other FPS out right now. I think they are just finding a way to scrap it.

Goldeneye was def > Turok back in the day. Turok was still fun too though.

This new demo was pretty boring. Disappointing.

Thats because Goldeneye had the best multiplayer we had ever seen! Turok to me was just as fun because of the single player though!

I could never get the jumping right in the first Turok game, nowTurok 2 was the game I enjoyed more, the memory pack on the N64 added so much more detailed graphics, although in get togethers with my friends we'd play Turok 2 for an hour then plug Goldeneye back in, lol we just loved that game too much.

Turok 3 Rage wars had some of the first AI bots in the N64 to run around shooting with you, it was fun if you set them to max stats. :)

No way is Haze scrapped. They just won't release til it plays right. Little motivation to rush for a Q1 release.

Maybe you're right. I remember when people first saw it, they were comparing the graphics to Crysis (lolz). Now it looks worse then KZ2 and Resistance 2 but a wide margin. I think they want to update the engine, and gameplay. People tend to think it takes generic to a new level.

The shining point of any FPS will be the online, as ill probably be the same with turok, but turok does have a pretty neat feature that no other FPS has had, and that with how they use the dinos in multiplayer (at least i've never heard of another game with something like this)

E.g. team deathmath. Red team vs. blue team (pretty standard), but then there is the dino team, which is pretty much against both teams, so its like a R. team vs. B. team vs. Dino team.

Also, any game where i can pin someone to a tree with a freakin bow, gets a semi decent shot at renting just for the hilarity factor.

There is no weapon more bad ass then a bow man...

Im guessing the whole "Flare attracts dinos" will come into play in MP. Shoot a flare in the enemy base, watch them get ripped by raptors then go in and clean up. Could have some major bad ass potential.

Dino Flare = Air Strike? >.>lol

It is going to have online co-op campaign, so we should get a team together and dominate that bitch on the hardest difficulty right off!

I'm gonna rent it first to see if the online is worth paying 60 bucks for. But yeah I'll so some co-op fo shizzle.

Haze probably got pushed back so Ubi could get RB6V2 out on time for the 10 year anniversary. They didn't want anything to go wrong with the timing of that so they probably pushed Haze back some to make sure RB6 gets off right.

Free Radical is doing Haze, Ubisoft is just publisher. Free Radical is why I'm confident in Haze. Golden, Timesplitters, nuff said.

And the most badass weapon in any game is Redeemer from Unreal Tournament.
