UK Govn't sources confirm the war with Iran is on

And someday people in the future will call this "natural selection"... because of the political correctness games played now.

Perhaps they'll wisen up... but that's like hoping humanity won't be stupid.

Why can't we learn to not only learn about others, but come to actually communicate with them? The American standard of philosophy can't be forced on others, and the more we try, the more we fail. :irked:

WTF did Iran do to them that they can prove.. I mean honestly America GAVE saddam hussein conventianal firearms, chemical and biologicalweapons which were quite obviously meant for Iraq to use Against Iran and resulted in many many people dead.
Over a million estimated dead.
At least a million and a half refugees....
8 years of war...
With freindly nations like that would you really not want to find a way to defend yourself or at least hate them for giving the means to start/prolong the war that killed so many of your coutrymen?
Can you blame them for being less than enthusiastic about countering terrorism against a country that did something like that to them? Yeah I guess you can since you're the target noone likes that.
Are all the deaths from terrorism wrong?
Hell yeah but dont instigate yet another war which will force your opinions down others throats. All its gonna do is make things worse.

After all, Iran refuses to let people into their country to inspect their land for A) Nukes, or B) Terrorists. We all get inspected by the nuclear committee, none of it is based on trust. We can't trust eachother, so we search each country.

It's a good thing lolCondoleezaRice isn't over there failing with those peace talks right now. Btw, anyone catch the Iraqi's speaking with the UN and congress? They THANKED us for our efforts to give them liberty under their tyranical opressor Saddam Hussein. That warmed my heart as an american, to be reminded that there's some that are happy that we helped them.

Wonderful, and we notice the real threat to world security the nutjob in N korea is still on the loose.

When was this? Last time I checked nearly every Iraqi hates America. If the sanctions wern't bad enough for them now there are hundreds of thousands of them in American made prisons for no reason. Just like America does to every country they invade it's now an American controlled dictatorship. America wouldn't let them elect their own leader. America won't let them have their own media. What's going on in Iraq is just horrible. I can't see how anyone would be ok with someone doing that to their country.

I gotta agree I doubt they actually trust america very much.
I'm sure you can't dismisss teh fact that at the end of the first gulf war americans told the iraqi people to riseup against saddam.
Now considering he's a ruthless vicous bastard and that they had no chance in hell of succeeding against saddam alone the people took it as a sign that America was gonna continue to fight to liberate the people from saddam and the speech implied so very much.
Since we all know Americal didn't invade iraq in the 90's we can guess what happened to the thousands that took that advice.

Not gonna say that america is evil. The people are very nice like the people in most countries are. The foreign policy however leaves alot of people the policy is about unhappy to say the least due to its overall manipulative nature that it is perceived as and the other nature commonly noticed is the most recent on of "FCK you if you dont do what i want you to do . Ill call you terrorists, make a false connection to 911 and invade you with the supportof the rest of the world or else ."

Like any person america can do alot of good things and does good things for the rest of the worls on occasion but if you do something really bad and get caught noone is going to trust you for a long time.

Reishu, name one country at/in war now or in the past that the war didn't even revolve around pushing beliefs on others.

Yes, the task of carrying the majority, not all, of the world around on your back at times is not very much at all. All the money, help in wars to keep people from getting ownd, and all that jazz is a very small deed... not to mention the amount of disrespect you get yet keep on lending that hand so graciously. On the other hand, I kind of agree with the majority of what you say as America should just tell the rest of the world they are on their own and mind our own business unless provoked. Stop helping, stop funding, and stop caring as most places don't deserve it anyway. To hell with them all, you'd like that huh? I would to just to see how, pardon my French but for lack of a better and more durastic word, fucked all the small countries and weak ones would be. God forbid if Canada was attacked during this dream.

My point wasn't that we're going to war for the right or wrong reasons, it's the fact that a more passive approach facilitates change from the inside. Conquering them may be the fast way to change a nation, but we're almost completely lacking in the more passive approach to making a solution. Compromise, diplomacy, and wisdom all have an element of significance.

We could learn from the history of the Swiss, and they're still very much themselves.

I do know that without leverage, there's no position from which to compromise too. I just think we went around getting it for all the wrong reasons (as percieved by others, they're still thinking that the war is mostly about oil, rather than the taliban.)

We made a few friends in Iraq (most notably the oppressed), but we also made a number of enemies who very much resent America because of it, and it shows most notably in how the war is playing out. Those are the ones we need to work our diplomacy with.

However now that we're in this mess, i have to also point out that you can't deal with people who don't want to listen. Them not wanting to listen is at least somewhat our own fault, which could have been prevented in the first place. <~ (my point)

Oh, and just so you know, I have studied ethical war. There is no war that doesn't push beliefs on others, except the defensive war.

except most of the people that run the middle eastern countries in question don't care about diplomacy or communication? I'm sure that's why saddam unleashed his attack helicopters on the kurds, he wanted to be diplomatic with them. I'm not exactly sure how you are supposed to work passive change with someone who's policy is sumbit or die.

well CNN show said, Reason US go to Iraq because of the Iran, and other neigbor country to prevent the start of World War III, but i guess they only delay it, World War III will start, and will happen soon, If US go to war with iran, It may start the WWIII event or it may not, but who knows.... sooner or later bushy will declare draft lol

A draft won't be possible without another huge "terrorist attack". So expect one of those first.

Personally I would love to see this. The President gets on stage, clears his throat and procedes to say...

"Apperently most of the world that we've either occupied/helped/liberated/fed/medicated or otherwise put US dollars into thinks we're dicks... After hearing this for so long one seems to think 'Hey, maybe their right'. I guess we were dicks for doing what we did. Guess theres no other way to solve the problem then by pulling all our military out and taking away anything that was funded with US dollars from the rest of the world. Now you'll have to fend for youselves like you did before, because you did such a great job of that before we got into this powder keg. Isnt that right "oppressed minorities under Saddam's regime"? So, what will we do with all the money that we would have spent on the countries that hate/need us most? Well theres lots of things. Maybe we could put it towards balancing the national debt caused from the war that was used to oust Saddam, or maybe we could pay teachers more a year so that they have a reason to go back to a job where the kids disrespect them yet they cant do anything about it so maybe, just maybe our kids wont be dumb as rocks when it comes to the rest of the world in test scores. Universal Healthcare anyone? How about funding research for alternitave forms of energy so that this country has no reason to touch your sorry ass countries in the first place. So you're right I guess we were dicks in putting in BILLIONS of US dollars into your countries, and from now on we'll put the money to making our OWN country stronger from the inside rather then hand it out like Joker from Batman1 to countries that in the end "dont want/need us". Have a nice day..."

Now dont get me wrong while I know we didnt go into Iraq with the purist of motives, the end result is that a crazy lunitic is out of power. He was a mass murderer and a grade A nutjob (no one whos sane keeps "rape rooms"). Sure there are those who dont want us there, thats kind of natural when those are most likly the ones who were't getting killed for believing something different.

I also dont like hearing "your not doing enough" or "why didnt you give more" or "we dont want you here" when they are already getting millions or more dollars from a country that doesnt owe them anything and then they turn around and bitch. This isnt your momma's house, you dont get to tell us off and then ask "whats for dinner".

I'd rather take a page from Sam Kinnesons book. He said "The way to end world hunger is simple. Dont give them a bit to eat, not a drop of water, not a crumb of food. What you do is give them a U-haul. Why? So you can move them TO WHERE THE FOOD IS!!! YOU LIVE IN THE FUCKING DESERT!!! SEE THIS SAND? NOTHING WILL GROW FROM THIS!!!!" And that can be applied to alot of things. Dont like your neighbors because they'll kill you for worshiping God a different way? FUCKING MOVE! Dont like the current government because its oppressive? GTF OUTTA THERE!

Sure it seems like a blanket statement and you can say "well its not so easy just to 'pack up and go'" well then guess what^^ YOU DONT GET TO COMPLAIN WHEN A COUNTRY OUSTS THE GOVERNMENT THAT WAS OPPRESSING YOU!

I forget if it was this past sunday or monday -.-;; It was on CNN, which is a decently credible source of information. Also, lolCondoleezaRice is floating between nations right now. I don't like her at all, but if she could perform the miracle and smooth this over it would be nice. There's your peace talks... Otherwise, this is no different than the other thousands of years of war. We have no need to kill them in war, since they take care of it themselves.

if you have any friends in th armed forces that have served in iraq talk to them and you'll find this statement to be very wrong.

Busta is only interested in his "Truth". Friends in the armed forces? Please! Either they are brainwashed or the Iraqis they are talking to are. Besides, why talk to a live person when there are plenty of websites that back his warped sense of reality?

America is such a great country that we have people vehemently hate each other over disagreements about how we can best help other countries and protect innocent life. If people want to take that ideal and hate us for it, then frankly their opinion could mean less to me than dirt. American pride has perhaps become an antiquated notion in the sea of people getting their opinions fed to them by Johnny Depp and Steven Spielberg, but I'll cheer for my country in Iraq, in Iran, in North Korea, China, Africa or anywhere else our brave troops go.

Every American should feel that way, even if they don't agree with decisions made, they should realize they're done without malice but with great American spirit and pride. And those Americans who turn their back on their own country, that's their right too as citizens, their right to be wrong.
