Huh, I must be gettin' old or some shit. I know this thread is old, but I've never noticed it before...

Anyway, can't wait for it though I don't expect it to be as good. From what I hear right now it's mostly a rendition of the game Clue, almost to the T. Hopefully it's not laid out so much like Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and more of a fluid front to back show.

Surprised the first episode isn't subbed yet, maybe tonight.

It has been on youtube, somewhere. It was taken off really fast though.

Yeah, after I woke up it was subbed from the top subbers of the first show. Gonna watch it before I pass out hopefully.

Seems like it'll be alright. The first episode is good, made for a few hard laughs too. Maria is gonna get annoyin' and although she seems the least likely to die, if they make a full series instead of a bunch of parts like the original, I hope she goes off pretty quickly and never comes back. The OP is friggin' great to, but the ending song is lulz. The band sounds like an awful Judas Priest clone.

There are 4 arcs.

Legend of the Golden Witch is the current arc.

Yeah, but what I'm gettin' at is I hope it's not laid out like Higuarashi no Naku Koro ni, but rather like a normal story layout. I guess we'll see when the first or second death arrives what we can expect.

FAST SUBBERS ARE FAST!

The 2nd episode is now up, just a few hours after the broadcast in Japan and in really good quality.

Damn, now things are really starting to get intersting. I can't wait to watch episode 3.

Episode 3 is beast. This show is seriously good so far. Battler is such an ace.

One week seems like such a long time to wait for the next episode, lol.

By the way.

Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru -When The Seagulls Cry Dispersal- was just released at Comiket in Japan.

Furthermore, Umineko is supposedly LONGER than Higurashi.

As of now, and I'm sure you can tell by the pacing, it's shorter. There are currently only 13 episodes contracted.

I meant as an entire series, not just the anime. Besides, I can't see them fitting all four arcs into 13 episodes, it has to be at least 24 to get all of the original material in there.

They might do two seasons but right now it's slated for only a 13 episode run. Happens all the time, we'll get the short version. As you can tell from watchin', it's also movin' very fast.

Well, considering at the length of the Visual Novel and how quite a fair amount of it was describing the atmosphere of the scenes (admittedly I'm part way through the first act, but seriously, this is a VERY long Visual Novel), it was pretty much a given that the anime and manga adaptations would have the atmosphere described in the expressions of the characters and the way they emote, rather than having everything spoken of in the third person.

Anyways, back on topic.

HOLY SHIT EPISODE 4 IS JEEEEEEEEEEEEESUS! O_O

Legend of the Golden Witch has now ended.

Studio Deen did something awesome for it, THEY INCLUDED THE TEA PARTY! Anyone who has played the Visual Novels will know what I mean.

In any case though, now we turn to the second arc.

Turn of the Golden Witch.

I'm very sure that this will easily be a 24-26 episode series. You also have to remember, the guys who do the anime also like to inject their own side stories in like they did with Higurashi.
