Underleveled SJ's

This again falls under the "it's not yours so you have no right to bitch about it" category. Maybe all they want to play is that job. I could care less what your subjob even is. Hell once I made a party with a BRD/WAR. I never even noticed that he had a WAR sub until like 2.5 hours of partying later. If you do your job then subs don't really matter. So get off of your high horse and shut the fuck up about shit that doesn't concern you.

But it does concern you if they're in your party. I'd rather a brd was tossing out the odd cure or regen than doing fuck all. At the end of the day it's just lazyness. If you can't be bothered to play your job properly dont do it at all.

Why the fuck are people arguing that a gimped sub is ok?

You fucking idiots make me sick. stay in the got damn dunes with your lvl 1 sub job. If it wasn't important, it wouldn't be part of the fucking game by lvl 18.

If you got time to lvl your main you can lvl your sub job. Quit fucking rushing to higher lvls and gimping your sub to do it. This game doesn't finish over night quit fucking rushing and play it right.

Its one thing to not have all possible subs lvld its another to have none lvld enough that your not gimped.

Don't even fucking bother with the sub job quest if your not gonna utalize what it offers you.

First of all there are plenty of instances when an underlevelled sub job might be ok. One might be where a rdm has blm fully levelled as sub, but is asked to sub whm that isn't. That goes for any job where the subjob being used isn't the primary subjob. I've been levelling my /war via promy's and it's not quite 37 yet, however it's very close. I don't sub /war much at all, but I have it and there might be a circumstance where I'm better off using it than /thf (my thf is fully levelled).

Why play the game if you cant put the time in required? Sorry but lazyness isn't the sort of person i'd want to party with.

Stuff can come up. Who knows maybe some day you'll get a girlfriend or a job or some combination and find the amount of time you can play is much smaller that it used to be. No sense giving up completely after you've invested all that time in a game like this.

Yeah, but brd/war could work ok early on. I don't know if you've ever tried to form a party when there were no red mages or bards up, but I'd gladly take a brd/war if it meant I didn't have to sit in jeuno anymore waiting for a refresher that might never come.

Stop playing the game then. I for one wont party with people with gimped subs, especially not when there are people with fully levelled subs who can actually be there. If they can't play for a decent amount of time, who's going to say they wont just leave the party after 10mins. As it's been said if they can level their main they can level their sub.

Yes, let's put refresh on a pedestal some more...

I'm just waiting for a BRD to hit 75 with their only leveled sub being a base job melee (/thf ftw)... cause you know it can be done, with that mentality running rampant.

Good for you

Yes because I want all of my party to be as useful as possible. I'm not being seen to condone people who put less effort in than most people getting far into the game, if they can't level their subjob then they don't deserve any end game action.

Yeah, because there's nothing more fun than sitting in jeuno waiting to get a semi-decent setup that may never happen. You have to do with the best that you can sometimes.

In the end game it's a bit different. Obviously you should have at least one subjob levelled at least 32+ (to 37 hopefully). When I'm forming a pt I always take the members that I feel will help the party out the best. However sometimes you have to take the best of what you can find.

Then what is the point of hitting 75 dumbass. Everything end game takes more than 2 hours. Stay in the 60 and hunt coffers the rest of your FFXI life if you "have a life".
Who the fuck shoved a stick up your ass? Im not here to fucking read u nerds calling me a dumbass on a fucking internet flameboard. Maybe if u think about what ur writing first u wouldnt have to resort to words like "dumbass", I lvl BST, thats what I do, who the fuck are u to tell me I cant hit 75 playing 2 hours a day?

I think he meant hitting 75 by partying. Also its you not u, please it's not hard.

Its the flameboard scrub, I'll call you a dumbass all day, grow a thicker skin. As far as hitting 75 playing 2 hours a day, go ahead. But you'll never get the gear from sky, never get into end game LSs cause people need you there more than 2 hours a day.

So there is no rush for you to hit 75, take your time and lvl all your subs.

to make it clear i wasnt defending underleveled subs, I have /SAM, /NIN, and /WHM lvled fully...and thats for solo
I was just saying not all people can or want to play that much, but they really should have atleast 1 ideal sub..

Well lazyness, as I was mentioning before, and no not a grammar nazi, I make plenty of mistakes myself, spelling "you" wrong is just inexcusable.

The way i see it is if the Perosn can do his job well with a underleveld Subjob then im ok with it..

My ninja is only 20 and if im levling WAR And i level past 42 im not gonna quit the party to say OMG my SJ is underleveld i cant party with yall anymore im gimp. As long as you hold your weight in a party then i could care less if your subjob is underleveld.

Lower levels is ok when you subjob is underleveled but once you start getting past 40 and 50 your not gonna get to many invites with a underleveld sub.

If I am a party leader, I refuse to invite people with underlevelled subjobs. Yes, it is a game, and yes, it is supposed to be about fun. Those who will not devote the time to levelling their subjob do not apparently share the same values about things as I do; if you're going to do something, do it the right way. If you want to eventually be SMN75/WHM37, don't run around Yuhtunga and Yhoator as WHM28/BLM1. All you do is make yourself look incredibly lazy or totally unwilling to take feedback (I'm positive that SOMEONE at SOMETIME told you it was important to level your sub), and I do not value either trait. If you want to take your THF to 15 for Treasure Hunter and then go out as BLM60/THF15 to farm, that is one thing... Don't try to get a party with a gimped sub or a ridiculous sub (MNK/BRD, etc.)

That situation is one thing... At least for me, this was about extremely gimped subs (MNK32/WAR6, etc.)

Personally, I will not go xp unless I can be certain that I will not let my main job outgrow my subjob. I wouldn't leave an xp party if this did happen (a level isn't going to make a huge difference), but that hasn't ever happened to be because I spend a lot of time levelling my subjobs and my subjobs' subjobs. (That was kind of confusing. Think NIN = Main, WAR = Sub, MNK = Sub's Sub).

I would love to join in the flaming of people but underleveled subs, but that would make me a hypocrite. Sometimes people have reasons for not leveling their subs (although i will admit they are rarely good). Me personally i don't want to level my summoner anymore because i don't have fenrir yet but i will have it in a few more levels with my main.
