Upcoming Version Update (11/20/2006)

The next version update is schedule for release in mid-December.
In this update, you can look forward to the introduction of a large-scale battle system called "Salvage", access to new areas within the Ruins of Alza'daal, new chocobo raising features, job adjustments, and much, much more!

Further details regarding the content of the version update will be released at a later date.

There's 1 of 2 choices: Its either a Dynamis-type battle area, or the third form of PvP. I'd guess first one, since I'm guessing Colosseum is the third form of PvP battles.

Im thinking it could be an intirly new form of battling.. mabye a CApture the flag type thing but agianst Beastmen?..

Think about it.. Salvage.. which proably involves a need to collect things... now if its a large scale battle then it might mean you are battlin gfor the control of numerous things that the Beastmen want. which would be kinda cool. as long as it its rewarding enough for the effort involved

Well, personally I'm guessing another one is in the old ruined city that The Ashu Talif is from. Think about it, what could possibly be strong enough to keep them alive?

Also, Salvage might be an addition to the sanction system. If you check the gates, it says "The following gate leads to an area under Imperial controll". So it might be a conquest-type system within the current sanction system.

hmm maybe drk finally get that adjustment they was promise and thf will get that 2hr buff they was promised. Salvage will prob be some kind of find item A in area b to get some treasure which most likely wont be be any good.

Anyone remember that plan to make Abjurations acessible in other ways? think salvage or the colluseum(HNM vs players?) would have any of those by some far off chance?(It's SE . I wont get my hopes up although the stuff theyve been doing for thf has been sweet so far lately)
The thf 2 hour was turned into lolambush which would have actually been decent as a 2 hour before 75 ect since it would have been quite a nice accuracy boost at low to mid levels.
