it was suppost to get him pissed.. obviously, it didnt.. we in the same LS, u know how i piss everyone off by calling them <too weak>... anyway, sorry tyran for calling u a pussy.. i really dont care what yall post.. i use windower, and none of you will make me stop...!!! i can care less what SE or anyone will do cuz they cant do a DAMN thing!! im still using the windower!! its the best thing ever!!

Nail... meet head... I am not into FFXI like I once was. I still enjoy the game to a limited extent. Getting past certain levels to move on to new things, just to be disappointed is getting a little old.
 
windower is a godsend, seriously SE is being fucking retarded about banning certain third party programs, cause this in no way gives you an advantage. Stupid idiots.
 
My last post on this topic :D. Fitz its all good I dont get to pissed unless people start bashin military. Other than that I want to thank everyone for debating and not getting childish with it (thats for the flame board :shock: ). Any way I take my leave from this argument with this:

Its a great idea.
Wish I had the abillity. (Because IMO you have the advantage)
I KNOW that this will be an option in the near future :wink:

Well I said I whould take my leave with the last post but...........

I was thinking, I said that i know FFXI will make windower an opction in the future but I retract that statment. This is not possable due to this fact. Many people have brought up the fact that every other MMORPG has this function. Well thats great because every one is on an even playing field (they all have the internet infront of them). As long as the servers have both PC & PS2 users the playing field is not equal. No other MMORPG has PS2 on the same server, giving them the ability to have Alt+Tab function. And last for the comments of "So what if there playing on PS2 and have a computer". Well what if they have dialup? They logout, disconnect and log on to there computer. 8)
 
I'm too lazy to read this entire topic...so can someone just answer me this question.

If i use the new windower and dont go around saying "hahaha i can see your tp!!!!!11!!1!" will SE be able to find out and/or jail me?
 
Rules should be followed just because they're rules. It's good that SE is enforcing more rules than it used to. I just wish they'd enforce some more important rules also. What I don't understand, is SE's wavering on the issue of 3rd party programs. The TOS does indeed state that they're illegal. On the issue of fishing bots, SE's position was, that as long as you're at your computer, everything is fine. SE's position on packetsniffers was the same. Fishing bots and packetsniffers are illegal under the same rule in the TOS as windowers. However, they're much more harmful to the game than a basic windower, and SE looks the other way. They're all different degrees of the same offense. For example, first degree murder, second degree murder, and manslaughter - what if police only arrested manslaughter offenders? SE is targeting a specific category of offenders and only taking out the most trivial. It makes no sense.

I think its time to start bashing the military...

Not with mere words, but a nice picture, so everyone can understand.

Just thought of something...if they jailed/threatened to terminate this guy for using this program...while the question "how do they know he's using it" comes into play, a bigger question can be asked....how can they know the person's using the windower/TParty, yet "has no way to prove the person is using a bot" or the like? That sounds like a load of crap in it's own way..

the GM knew cuz he was running his mouth about it.. then he admitted it..
 
Yeah if you go into jeuno and shout "wow the TPparty on this windower rawks!" then people might get suspicious. I might actually log on without the windower and shout that for the hell of it...see what happens.
