Can't even take leaving with a grain of salt? Your stuff is being given away, therefore people ask for it. The only difference between your friends and the other people is your friends get it. :lol:

I wouldn't have asked if it hadn't been offered freely, and I certainly wouldn't have asked if I might use an item kinda/sorta/maybe on somejob i might/might not level sometime this summer. And I wouldnt have asked so my buddy could use it either because it wasn't offered to friends of friends.

I can understand the feeling though. :( Theres no polite way to say "Can I have your stuff?"

Heh, I oculd have used some of the stuff you were offering, but I don't need it or even expect to get it. I've had friends quit and give me stuff, and I've had friends quit who didn't give me anything, I was more concerned about them quitting than what I was going to get.

i know in my post, i first stated that i was sad to see you go, and i really am. But, in a game where money is hard to make unless you already have some of it, i'm not going to pass up a chance at free stuff. And i know many people are the same.

People begging me for stuff (over AIM, etc in game for the 2 minutes i'm on)

Posting the post about it in the flame board almost a week later

Posting the thing in general chat a few minutes after the flame

That's the difference between a friend and someone you chat online with. A very good friend of mine quit a couple of months ago, I was simply shocked the first half hour. I tried to get him to stay and he just went over he reasons for leaving, not budging. When it was time to say goodbye it went something like this:

<Zura> Man...this really sucks...but, wish you the best.
<Friend> Hold on, what about my stuff?
<Zura> What about it?
<Friend> I already decided a long time ago you would get all my stuff
<Zura> Why don't you hold onto it in case you decide to come back?

I didn't give a damn about fake money, it was about a real person severing his ties. I wish people would realize that's the important part about someone quitting, not blinded by thoughts of owning fake stuff any asshole with an IGE account can get.

Didn't know until now that mephs was you Svina.Remember when mephs randomly started talking shit about me in lower jeuno? :lol: o well nvm u crafted like most of the time u played i bet and never really got to use it to the max... or maybe u did.And yeh i'd rather have a friend not quit than giving me his gear cuz the i have a list of friends... and if they quit i might quit also.

Personally, I wouldn't kiss your (or anyone else's) butt to get crap. I don't dislike anyone on the forum (moreso, I guess I'm just not serious enough about crap - only person I come close to disliking here is Colbwa), the only real problem is in the case of talking to you (Or Odon, or Yosh, or Vang, or Phraust, or Davio, or Tenkax), is that I feel "below" you, and it intimidates me to hell, so I can't even try to talk to you to be your friend because I felt like I'd just be a pest (worseso, it'd look like I'm just kissing your butt or something..)

So yeah, sorry.
 
How can anyone feel "below" yoshindor? =P

Meh its just a game and behind all the epic things people do in an MMO, we're all teh same geeks you talk to every day IRL, I don't see what the big deal is.
