Vampire Hunter D

This was the very first anime I ever saw (excluding cartoons that were brought over like Voltron).... I was amazed at how deep the story went and how imaginative the writers were. It will always be one of my favorites!

Recently, I picked up the sequel which was pretty decent but I found it didn't live up the promise of the first movie. Maybe thats because the original had the awe of my childhood in it but I dont think so.

Yeah, D was great. Bloodlust was fun and flashy, but I didn't like it as much as I liked the first one.

I agree though, though I can't watch it over and over like some others, D still holds a cool place in my memories...

I saw them both but I found the second one to be better, perhaps its the obvious fact that I saw them both the same day last year and im 24 compared to you seeing the first when you were a youngin.
