VE and stupid leech campers

Last I heard, neither of those had been confirmed as being the spawn conditions for either mob. There's still a great deal of debate on how to spawn these and Noble Mold.

As for immediate spawn NMs, supposedly Biast spawns ~10 seconds after the Shadow Dragon in Xarcabard is killed, if her/his window is up.

Nice to mention Biast, I camped him and he popped approx 10 seconds after killing the Shadow Dragon. No drop on the helm h/w.

I have a video of a Thief/Warrior beating the shit out of the Rose Garden with a Ridel.

In the video, the Overgrown Rose despawns - an immediate second later, the Rose Garden spawns.

I can email you the video if you need that much proof but that's my word...

I consider myself to be a VE specialty camper... When i was camping it i only had one real competitive camper against me. Lionheart. The reason that we were both the best campers was that neither one of us moved unless VE was up. Hell i got 11 pins in one week and do you know how. I left my char in the same spot 24/7 unless i was killing the VE. Then i went out Thf/rng and spammed widescan. 90% of my claims someone would say i thought u were AFK so i wasnt paying attention as well as i could have been.

So imo if you want to get the claim let other people kill the placeholders.

The real people who are leeches are people who go out thf/war and hump other thf/rng. This has happened to me several times the /rng (me) tracks the Nm hits flee so does the other thf and then the /war vokes it out from under the /rng. That is true NM leeching.

Why do i widespam? Because it is the most sucessful claiming method. Back before it was r/ex i would prolly get 3/4 claims i sat through a night and drop basically every other kill. Even tho i have my empress i still kinda wish it was sellable.

Pure bias. It's ok to sit there widescanning and let other people kill placeholders because they as a result will have less a chance than you to get claim. Then it's wrong to take advantage of your widescan and follow you and provoke because it gives them an advantage.

In both cases, if the CC who killed the placeholders, or the CCer who spammed widescan didn't exist, there'd be nothing to take advantage of. Hence it's called leeching. If you want to take the stance that NMs don't include morality at all, only winning or losing, then you can say your way is fine but then anyone else's is too, which I disagree with but it's at least consistant.

WEll as far as the NM camping goes FF has the far worst way of getting rare equipment. There are more and more ppl and they havent done anything to increase the supply at all. I personly think that any rare/ex drops should have a noticible higher drop rate then other nm drops. im 0-13 on the LL and 0-9 on VE and I dealt with the frustration of havin some lucky low lvl mob kill the LL without TH for there first time and get a drop. The bottem line is nm drop rates suck balls 13 claims with TH1 I should have a fuckin pare of those boots.
Yes there is a patern to how and when nms pop I learned this and for pretty good at claiming LL VE i still have a few problems. But thuis is the way the game works if your not willin to camp for hours and/or days on end then you simply wont get some of these items. Although if there gonna be havin this out of Xbox 360 its gonna expand the players base by alot anf they better do something about these shitty drop rates befiore that happens.

I think Tyrath's idea is an excellent one. People should earn the NM drops. The other week I camped the Yagudo for the Ochido's Kote and I killed the placeholders for hours....long.....boring hours.....but these 2 Mithra kept watching me and never moved unless the NM popped and everytime it did they had it claimed before I was done killing the last placeholder. Competition is one thing but that was cheap. Not that I think SE will actually heed anything any of us suggest...it's still worth mentioning. Thank you.

if what i read was correct there is only one placeholder for the ochido kote. its the only one that will go in the water. the others come close but dont go in. i read that a few months ago so it might be wrong.

Firestreak, NMs and morals, lol.

Apparently Onions is the only person on this thread who knows the best way to camp VE. Randomly killing flys to pop him isn't the best. You can damn near pop VE on your own if you know what you're doing. Alot of people claiming to be experts which is funny after hearing their strategy. Try spamming scan or killing flys against VE campers like Rebandra, Onions, Rinas or myself and you would be smoked out of the Dunes in a heartbeat.

Anyways when I camp VE I am watching TV half the time and I will still beat any of you on this board to claim with no 3rd party or any of your CPU assistance alot of you end gamers need seem to need for your HNMs. (Once again Morals, LOL, for shame) Oh that's right they fucked up claiming so now your dat removals don't work as well huh?

Yeah overgrown rose and taisaijin are safely assumed to pop only if the placeholders are NOT killed. Which explains their rare spawns. This also goes for colorful leshy i think

lets go fatty, ill call that bluff =)

I'm not making the flame just clarifying the logic I see behind it, as well as pointing out some bad logic I see in the counter-argument. Every NM seems to have its own little set of rules between the regular campers and every single one has people who break those rules. Obviously in the case of this NM, this is not a set rule, but I will admit I have been somewhat annoyed myself at this. Mainly when I'm the only one there for an hour so obviously I kill placeholders. Then someone comes in and stands there.

I think the point Vang wanted to make is ... you only need to kill one fly to pop it.

But it requires:

- having ToD
- knowing where in the widescan list it pops (which is PH in other words)
- knowing how long it takes to repop (not too hard ;))

Then you can just watch TV 99% of the time!

But that's just a guess ;)

Hi all,

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

One of the things that I've never invested the time to ever really figure out is what exactly lotto pop means. Don't get me wrong, I know that it's a pop that has some percentage(building throughout the entire window, I'd suspect) of popping instead of one of its PHs, but to me it sounded like there's a couple of folks saying that some like VE even pop in predictable location patterns. It's prolly gonna be a looooong while(if ever) before I invest the time to figure out that pattern myself since his drop's R/E now, but is that really the case? o.0
