Version update info

Hmm... the only good things I can really see from this update are the new ToAU missions which myself and a friend and hopefully we can get others, to complete in one night like last update day with the missions.

The new quests and chocobo colours also are worthwhile in the update. Other than that, I couldn't really care much for the job updates as it would be a while for me to touch those, except smn might be good whenever I one day take that to 75.

It's all good though, you can't have every single update please everyone.

Also, part of a scene from the "Ghosts of the Past" mission has been altered.

Now my interest is piqued. I'm already past that mission, so I wonder how exactly they're going to be changing it.

Please note that a chocobo that you are already raising or have retired will not suddenly change color or appearance with this version update.

Not immediately changing color makes obvious sense.

As for changes in appearance, I imagine all that means is you'll have to re-register your Chocobo Whistle before changes occur; it's the same way you have to register again after every change in stats for it to be reflected outside the stables when you call them. It'll only apply to adult birds.

Haha, a medicine to wake sleeping chocobos. Could they get any lazier?

Does that mean we gonna be lotting against 700 people for one item <.<
Or do they mean when we kill Beseiged NMs outside of beseiged?

Most likely outside, in the strongholds or during advance. The NMs are actually real mobs, just that since they didn't drop anything, no one fought them.

Didn't SE say thay were adding new COR rolls? ; ;

Hope thay just forgot to mention them in notes.

As part of the TGS Job Modification announcement, not the update announcement.

So uh.. wait until they make an update announcement?

They also made it so chocobos auto-awaken after a care plan ends.

My point was, if one of your friends were to come over while you were asleep and wanted to wake you up, pouring Vicks 44 down your throat is a little excessive.

1. The On Topic, Reasoned Response

Well, that would explain why the chocobo gets ticked at you for using it, according to the update details.

2. The Moderately Witty Response

Would you rather wake up to vicks 44 being poured down your throat, or wake up to a fist connecting with ___insert body part here____

The formula used to calculate ranged attack damage and accuracy based on the distance of the player from the enemy target has undergone an adjustment. This will ensure that the calculation will no longer largely eliminate the enhancements given by meals and equipment. Instead, the effects will be added directly to the player's attributes.

Pics of Hasso and Seigan

Hasso (10str 5att ?Haste):

looks sexy, can't wait to try them out for myself.

It no longer says "Your Chocobo..." during chocobo caretaking, if you've named it, it displays the name instead.

When I used Hasso it gave me +12 str, I had on gear to make my base +5, so after Hasso...12-5=7. Maybe it gets stronger as you level up? Also, messed around with Third Eye a bit as well. Not 100% as I can't truly test it on TWTBW or EP mobs, but it seems like if you use Seigan and then Third eye (obviously) and your attacked its almost 100% that you'll keep third eye after anticipating the attack. Counterattack seems completely random. As far as I can tell, multi hit mob ws (gob rush, etc.) and AoE ws don't rape Third Eye like they do for blink or utsusemi. Anyone parse the actual percentages?

So they actually make third eye have a chance to counter on it's own, or are you testing third eye with Saotome Haidate on?

Impossible, since I'm 52. So yes, 3rd eye CAN counter. Rate seems and most likely is completely random.
