This is from Pete Rose's page on Wiki:
On July 27, 2009, the New York Daily News reported that Commissioner Selig has seriously considered lifting Rose's lifetime suspension from baseball.[19] The next day, Bud Selig shot down these rumors and Rose will infact remain suspended, indefinitely.
And this is from Bud Seligs page on Wiki:
After a dramatic conclusion of the 2001 World Series, less than 48 hours later, Selig held a vote on contracting two teams, reportedly the Minnesota Twins and Montreal Expos.[12] This action led to Selig (along with former Expos owner Jeffrey Loria) being charged with racketeering and conspiring with Loria to deliberately defraud the Expos minority owners. If found guilty the league could have been liable for $300 million in punitive damages. Selig was eager to settle the case because the judge had previously ruled that the Expos could not be moved or contracted until the case was over. The case eventually went to arbitration and was settled out of court for an undisclosed sum.
Sounds to me that Bud Selig is the piece of shit here, not Pete Rose and its a shame that old Charlie Hustle is going to have to wait until Selig retires before he has a shot at getting into the Hall of Fame.
Sorry, not trying to derail this Michael Vick thread but it just irks me to see that he's getting a second chance when a guy like Pete Rose clearly deserves one too.
