[Video request] Elvaan RDM maat fight

If anyone happens to have a link/video of an Elvaan (or even Galka) rdm maat fight let me know. Ive searched all over looking and can't seem to find any. I can find all the other races but thos two. Thanks

edit: hmm i down loaded it a long time ago from alla but it looks to me like you can't d-load it from there any more... hmm. I've got the video if it doesn't work. If there's some way i can get it to you tell me.
 
So is there a difference in the fight depending on your race? or is it just for the look of things? I feel like a newb sometimes when I ask these questions but I'm still only a level 50 so bear with me.

Well to be honest, your race would make a diff if u were Taru, or Galka since ur MP difference and ur defense/attack difference, its just a strategy chosen on what race u may be for the fight dealing with the gimps/buffs for each race on a RDM for example...

But mostly just the MP difference like where u'd wanna focus ur MP usage like...for Galka maybe use more MP based equip/food, while perhaps a taru would want to use Def/Att food and use MP on the healing magic...
 
it's basically the same strategy.

I'm an elvaan RDM, beat him on first try. No 2-hour needed.
Only potion I used was a super ether.

Went in on darksday and beat him...

Just run in, sleep II him as fast as you can, and then buff up (they wear off when you enter). Rest up keep an eye out on him.

Don't really need to enfeeble him, atleast I didn't. But it's important to keep stoneskin and blin up at all times.

Nuke him with Aero III (wind staff/auster staff is pretty much a must), and then Sleep II him again. Recast blink if he hit you, or stoneskin if Blink didn't absorb the hit.
Repeat untill you're out of MP.
Convert, buff up, Aero III ---> Sleep II
drink the super ether, Aero III ---> Sleep II
keep using the Aero III ---> Sleep II strategy untill you're out of MP. If he's not dead then, make sure you have enough for atleast 2 Sleep II and 2 Sleep (in case he resists Sleep II), and simply rest up.

Then get up, nuke him, and he should be dead. It's really not as hard as people make it sound =/
 
yeah, that's what Goshi did also. Killed Maat the same day with the same strategy.

I would recomend using Yagudo Drinks instead of refresh for an Elvaan though =/
 
I didn't O.o I had an Auster's staff.. fought him on windsday.. ran in.. slept him.. debuffed him and dispelled... then refreshed and put blink and whatnot up (and make sure you go in the fight nekkid and then put your equipment on in the BCNM) and just Aero III -> sleep -> Aero III -> bind -> Aero III -> sleep -> Aero III -> etc

there's a "use Ether,Hi-Ether,Pro-Ether" in there too.. and MAKE SURE HE'S SILENCED.. before you wake him up.. always make sure that he's silenced.. if not.. it's bad >.>

There's so many different strategies that you can just cut and paste :P

Personally, I didn't even bother silencing him. I slept him fast enough that he couldn't even cast spells, and simply let him sleep through his chainspell.

And the "go in naked" thing... I don't think it works really =/ read many posts about it, and in the end we get to the same conclusion... a false rumour =/ But by all means, try it ^^ Believing in things often make you feel more comfortable

btw, this thread made me wanna fight him again <.< I think I'll do it with melee once I get another RDM testimony from those incredibly boring pots in sky >.>
 
no.. it does help.. I went in same conditions with clothes on and he hit harder and nuked for more on me... and then I went in with no clothes and he did less damage to me :D it seems that going in without clothes works.. but that's what I've gathered
 
i won on 2nd fight (elvaan rdm) .... went on darksday too, did the sleep2 method as well and aero3'd with windstaff. used food of rolanberry pie.

he was easy for me, slept almost too long lol :) i went in with very high int gear though....and darksday did help.

almost beat record, i think it was 5minutes 33 seconds that i won in.
 
that (elvaan) maat battle is so slow and boring...i mean, from their perspective it mighta been intense but... if it weren't for the music i'da been sleeping in my seat...
