I found a couple of cool nightclubs and I've been dating like crazy - sometimes four a week. Things are going well. One of the nightclubs is a high quality place and it has a VIP room. I guess it costs up to 500 to get in - I've heard 250.00 and I've heard 500. I'm debating taking a date there, and I'm curious if anyone's ever done a VIP room, because I haven't. I've only gone to one dance nightclub, and it didn't have one. Anyone know what goes on? I Googled VIP Room, and I got mostly results from that porn site. I doubt that's what happens. It was like Girls Gone Wild. If that's what happens, fair enough - I'll just go solo some other time. I mean, nightclubs aren't strip clubs, so it's not like we'd get personal girl attention. Is it just a room where rich people can prove that they're rich, and pay 500 dollars for a room full of other people who paid 500 dollars? Any personal experience with VIP rooms at nightclubs would be appreciated. I'm finally living.

Bleeding money, planning for the future - something like that. I like to think I'm bettering myself. Money buys happiness. Sometimes I have to save to buy happiness. Sometimes my paycheck will cover it. One time, I took out a loan to buy happiness. In the past, happiness was short-lived, immediate gratification: computers, keyboards, and other electronics to show off. Now I'm investing in my social life, and it's like putting money in the bank. It'll pay dividends later. It's expensive, but you get what you pay for. I did manage to read that if I become a regular at a club, and I consistently grease the right palms with tips and compliments, I can get a permanent pass to said VIP rooms. If anything, I might do that. But, it would still be helpful to know what the point is. Google wasn't too helpful, though I think I have a vague idea.

"VIP room" is a pretty vague term that varies based on the specific club. In some clubs, it's just a separately roped-off, elevated, or partially-glassed area, while in some clubs it is a completely separate room. It usually has plush seating and possibly bottle (liquor or champagne) service at your table/area included or for an extra charge. It may also have its own bar, which can definitely save some time and hassle in extremely crowded clubs. You definitely can't find what you are looking for on the internet as different clubs vary widely in what they consider to be a VIP room. What you see on the internet is an idealized version most likely with paid "stars" and a production company paying off the ownership to film in the VIP area.

In the majority of open area VIP rooms, you're likely to find a group of well dressed people drinking and having a good time, with more women than men because in most clubs it's much easier to get into the VIP area (especially free) as a woman than a man. Depending on how open-minded the VIP security happens to be and how private the area, you may also find people doing CC or smoking MJ, but in most clubs that's not something that you would necessarily know ahead of time, just something you may run across. There's a pretty good chance that some people might also be rollin, but you wouldn't notice they were doing that unless they're being blatantly obvious taking it right in front of you.

Getting a permanent pass to a VIP room is fairly unlikely, if only because of the high turnover in the club bouncer profession. If you happen to become good friends with a club owner or general manager, then you may be able to get in free with more regularity to the VIP area, but only as long as that person remains the club owner or manager (also decent turnover for most average clubs). The times that I have been into VIP rooms completely free have usually been with a small group that included women that knew the bouncers or club owners. As a guy you're pretty much going to have to pay to get into the VIP area most of the time. You may be able to grease palms to get in a little cheaper than the going rate, but I wouldn't count on it regularly unless you get in really good with a bouncer that stays there for a long time.

You probably wouldn't want to walk up solo into a VIP area, it's more of a couple or group type thing. Walking into a VIP area by yourself would probably catch an eye from most of the people in there and not necessarily in a good way unless you happen to be tossing baggies onto the table. ;) Ideally you'd want to roll up into a VIP area with a small group of singles and/or couples. A lot of clubs will max out your VIP entrance at 4-8 unless paying individually.

Just get to know the owners or sometimes the staff, they can get you in. I had an awesome time last time I was in a VIP room. Got 90% off on every drink we bought.

tbh, you don't need a date if you go to a VIP room, the girls will be flocking you to get in there.

Dude i haven't said this in the past because i was trying to be nice about it but you really need to sit down and ask yourself why you are soo desperately seeking the approval of others. The truth is yes there are people who like the guys that act flashy but is that the kind of girl you want and if takes a VIP room to reel her in is it the kind that you can keep. The working out thing to look better that is good for you and the ladies and that is fine but i sincerely hope that you are doing it more for yourself.

Sounds like you don't need a VIP room it sounds to me like you need self esteem... and without that... even the VIP room isn't gonna help so save your money.

Money buys happiness.
Perhaps the most ridiculous thing i have read on this forum.

If you really think money buys happiness... get a hooker.
If you enjoy clubbing... fine go for it but do it for yourself don't pretend that it is an investment.
If you are doing it to impress women... all your gonna get out of a club is the hit it and quit it type... get a hooker... probably cleaner and cheaper.

Basically live for yourself and i guarantee you will have better luck.

Money does buy happiness. God I love shopping and in all fairness I doubt a hooker would be cleaner.

Money doesn't cure an aching heart, a paining back or the death of a loved one. All it can do is temporarily relieve the symptoms.

Sure, you can love shopping and buy a bunch of clothes, but it doesn't give you permanent happiness. No amount of money can do that. You can say "But I'll just buy more clothes then!", sadly, that wont' work either. It becomes an addiction, and every time you'll need to buy more shut just to reach your expected happiness level.

tbh, I was thinking "What kind of shit is that?" when he said "Mney can buy happiness" as well, because imo that's far from true. Sure, it can buy temporary happiness, but eventually you'll work your way up to the level of ignorant brats that yell on their father for buying them the wrong car for their birthday.

sex and/or drugs and/or alcohol with multiple partners, I'm pretty sure that is about it what goes on in the VIP room

For what its worth, I completely agree with Deja on this. (Even though I find it funny he's talking about happiness; I didn't know he knew any other emotions existed besides righteous political outrage. XD)

If people are your friends because you're throwing your money around, what happens when you don't have that money to throw around? Money does not build lasting relationships, it attracts financial vampires, who will drain you and toss you to the side to get what they want. They, too, are under the misguided impression that money buys happiness, and don't care who they hurt to get what they want.

In this situation, I think its likely one of two things will happen. Either you will get yourself hurt by one of these women who are in it just for money or you will wind up becoming someone who isn't really a good person. Or both. I really think you'd be better off spending your money on things that can have a lasting improvement on your life (whether its a home improvement project, a continued education course, or even therapy since you seem so unhappy with things).

Best of luck to you.

I never pretended that there were not emotions i just believe that in the political arena emotions should not play any role. That is why anything that gets touted on TV as for the kids i generally oppose because good intentions go bad places.

Incorrect, money is a tool to get the things that you think you want which will only buy temporary happiness. Think of it like a drug. You feel ok but not perfect on your own. You take a drug and you feel better. The problem is that this better feeling is fleeting and in order to maintain it you need more of the drug and over time you become dependent on that drug.

I mean in all honesty the way that pomp is progressing atm i can generally call what a post of his will be in about 6 months. I went to the club again and of course i only go to the VIP section anymore but i still am not having the luck with the ladies that i am looking for. Has anyone tried Cristal and think that it is worth me upgrading to it for the bottle service at the table that i'm going to be at tonight.

lol, well on the point of money buying happiness...

I think maybe that phrasing is not always true, but not having money sure as hell "buys" you unhappiness. Problem with money is that most people that have it don't use it to do what they want to really do, they do what everyone else expects them to do. Just depends what kind of person you are and what you do with it...

VIP rooms...eh, for people who have more money than they really know what to do with. Its just another room thats not as crowded basically...pretty expensive way to get a little bit of privacy. I mean if you do take a chic there...you should be getting laid that night. If not...lol. I doubt it will help you form a long lasting, deep relationship though. Guess it just depends what you are after.

VIP mean Very Important People. :D I'm a helper.

You finished? It was a simple question. You can leave your underhanded remarks out of it. I've never been to a VIP room. I asked what happened in one to see if I wanted to give it a try. I got my answer. Hookers? Crystal (meth I presume)? I'm not like that. I wanted to go partying some night. Is that worth your condescension?

He said "in about six months". Doesn't matter what you do or don't do right now.

The VIP areas in the clubs and lounges here in NYC, are mostly roped off areas where you and your friends can enjoy a $40 bottle of vodka that you paid $300 for.

Its a new experience so if you want to do it, go ahead and do it. Enjoy yourself, your only young once.

If you want to be on good terms with the staff, show up early before things pick up and socialize with the bouncers and the bartenders and the rest of the staff. It might only be a few words here and there but if your cool and don't act like an abnoxious prick, it will go a long way.... farther than trying to buy your way into it by greasing their hands. Not saying don't tip well, just be real.

If you want to take a girl you've been dating -- thats cool but for me -- the first few dates are where -I- decide if -I- still want to see her. If you start off blowing crazy amounts of money on her, she's going to expect you to keep doing it. You don't have to be cheap, but you don't have to go overboard either.

I am not trying to be sneaky at all in this situation so i dont understand why you call my comments underhanded. Going to a VIP once... w/e thats fine if you just want to do it for the experience.. its nothing special. You were talking about trying to get a permanent VIP pass basically which is completely stupid especially when you seem to have money issues.

My point with the hookers comment is that if you believe a temporary experience can get you long term happiness then just get a hooker and get laid and hell you achieved the ultimate goal for the night anyways.

As for the "Cristal" comment i was not referring to crystal meth.. lol. I was referring to a horrendously overpriced brand of champagne that people with self esteem issues like yourself seem to enjoy buying to show off with.

Has anyone tried Cristal and think that it is worth me upgrading to it for the bottle service at the table that i'm going to be at tonight.

Seems I misread/interpreted the tone of voice in your posts, so my apologies for that. First line was "I haven't said this in the past because I was trying to be nice about it..." and I braced for impending verbal beatdown. Got down to "most ridiculous thing I've read..." and thought I validated my assumptions. Read on about buying hookers, got to the next page and the argument on whether I was ruining myself was still going on, and then the paragraph's bleak assessment of my situation in six month, and I overreacted. So, sorry about that. I had no idea Cristal was a brand of champagne. I figured it was drugs because hookers were already suggested, and because someone else said drug use isn't uncommon in VIP rooms. My apologies.

EDIT: Bottle service wouldn't have clued me in to not being crystal meth, because like VIP rooms, I've never seen the stuff. Is it a pill? A liquid? No clue. I'm a pretty clean cut guy, and haven't seen any drugs in action, so the exotic stuff beyond pot crack and coke that end up in movies a lot are things I don't know about. Never done a rave, so I don't know extasy or the like.

Cristal

Just because i stopped trying to be nice does not mean i was trying to be mean... I was basically saying that i was going to stop trying to filter what i wanted to say for the sake of avoiding hurting your feelings due to the fact that i think most of your problems arise from a serious lack of self esteem and you need to address that first. Few people like to be told from an outside source what problems they have myself included and that is why i did not speak up sooner.
