Virtual Console: Wii-kly Update

Any word on Guardian Legend? That would be awesome. I'd download that in a second.

Oh fuck yes! That's one of my favorite NES games.

The Legend of the Mystical Ninja - SNES - 800 Points
Shockman - TurboGrafx16 - 600 Points

The Legend of the Mystical Ninja??

Isn't this the one with that Goemon character, and his pig-like buddy?
The plot is about how he battles some empire? Then after every boss fight, he gets into some weird looking Megazord with rollerskates for a final fight?

I might be thinking of the wrong game, but the title sounds familiar.

I was thinking about the same character but the N64 version. :-D

Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon.
That game was pretty funny. Might be cool if they come out with it.
 
the VC is starting to have a nice collection now. =)

That game was cool. I rented it I think 2-3 times to beat. I am glad to see I wasn't the only person to play the game.
 
Heh, ol'skool Castlevania.

I still remember my father hurling the NES controller against the wall after Dracula took his "real" form at the end, and killed him in one hit. He had just spent hours upon hours (which was really an extension of the weeks he'd been playing the game) trying to defeat the already difficult "first boss."

Of course, he had even less fun trying to piece the controller back together. Ahh, to be seven again.
 
Nintendo fails once again at their normal early-morning press release, but here's the week's new offerings:

Final Fight - SNES - 800 points
Ordyne - TurboGrafx16 - 600 points
Mighty Bomb Jack - NES - 500 Points
 
Streets of Rage & TMNT 3 > all beat em' ups
 
I'll see about that when I get a chance to play my Saturn again.
 
Is there any place were we can suggest games? I want Sonic CD o,o
 
Wasn't Sonic CD on SEGA CD? They don't have Sega CD in the VC.
 
If in the future they port CD based games to the virtual console, I wouldn't mind replaying Ys: Book I and II for the Turbo-Graphix 16 CD system.

The game's battle system was simple.
You equip on weapon and armor.
Then to attack, you bump and shove people.

Sounds kinda mediocre, but the story and music was great.
Those who have played it, no one can forget that 100 floor tower. (lol)
Man it was literally 100 floors just to get to Dark Fact (final boss in book 1).
All in all, it was fun. :-)

Ys III, was even better. The story and music was also phenomenal.
The battle system was like Legend of Zelda 2 for the NES.
