Virtual Console: Wii-kly Update

Wow 4 games this week. I think i'll download Zelda 2, i never really seen it before.

I saw new download screen today lol

It had a tiny Mario and Luigi swimming across the screen like a water stage

I loved Zelda 2. I can easily see how its the black sheep, but it was still a good game. <3 it

Milon's Secret Castle O.o

That game used to frustrate the hell out of me. Just like FFXI.

I think I'll go download it now..

I always called Cythe "Milon" after he got that stupid ballista tournament hat.

My brother and I went on a Virtual Console shopping spree last weekend, and finished it up yesterday.

We got:

1) Actraiser
2) Donkey Kong Country
3) Wario's Woods
4) Super Ghouls n' Ghosts
5) Star Fox 64

All of which we have fond memories of. It's hilarious watching someone who's never played Super Ghouls n' Ghosts before realize they can't make it ten feet into the first level without exploding into a pile of bones.

They don't make 'em like that anymore. T_T

Oh but they do! Just not often enough...

When I sit down to play the demo it took some getting use to but all the memories and good times followed. I can't wait for it to release. It's more like Zombies Ate My Neighbors, well exactly like it, but you get my point I hope :)

Kinda funny that you mention Zombies Ate My Neighbors, because it's coming to the Virtual Console. No date has been announced for it, though. I'm looking forward to it because I loved that game.

In other news, this week's offerings:

Lode Runner - NES - 500 Points
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - Sega Genesis - 800 Points
Golden Axe 2 - Sega Genesis - 800 Points

Did you know that if you have a second controller, someone can play as Tails?!

In keeping with tradition, Sonic Team / SEGA allowed you to do this in Sonic Adventure.

I don't want to use the word "craptacular" since I'm not familiar with the T16 offerings, but here ya go:

NES Open Tournament Golf - NES - 500 Points
World Sports Competition - TurboGrafx-16 - 600 Points
Bloody Wolf - TurboGrafx-16 - 600 Points

Oh no, "craptacular" is quite right.

I agree the selection is not all that great, however, Bloody Wolf, was actually kinda fun.

I remember playing it a long time ago.
It kinda reminded me of a wanna-be Contra.

The one I played had voice-overs.
I'm not sure if this is the same Bloody Wolf game though so I could be wrong.
I could've been playing it for the Turbo Graphix 16 - CD system.

Is this the same one, or a totally different one?

any possible place we can chuck in suggestions? I wanna see Star Fox (Snes) Chrono Trigger (Snes) Mega Man X(1-3) (snes) and especially Super Metroid (Snes) >.>; god those will make me so happy.

Looks halfway decent this week:

F-Zero X - Nintendo 64 - 1,000 Points
Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting - SNES - 800 Points
China Warrior - TurboGrafx16 - 600 Points

Also, my thanks for having this thread stickied, although I didn't notice it at first and was going nuts trying to find it.
