Meh, like I said, as long as some positive things like the new admins are happening, I'll just deal with it as a temporary inconvenience. Couldn't be happier that Cmdr & Eleib are going to have expanded admin capabilities.

Temporary? All things are temporary depending on the timespan you use to define permanent. As others have said, I'm worried that temporary will turn into reeve wandering off for another 5 weeks and forgetting to turn the old style back on.
The thing's too damn blue (our sigs and profile are the only color breakup), patterned backgrounds for text are about the most supremely stupid thing you can do, and overall the style is just plain lower quality. If he took down the other style to fix it, shouldn't he have replaced it with a fully working style?

It may be temporary but it's without good reason. So far all I've seen is excuses that don't make sense as to why you'd need to exchange DEFAULT for a special format. Want to update some "behind-the-scenes" stuff? Go right ahead but messing with the styles have nothing to do with any of that. Besides... who the hell takes away default... It's fuckin' default.
Either way, you all know good and damn well that if you pricks didn't like the style you'd be bitching too. So enough with the "Q_Q" bullshit. You've said you like it, now take a hike. Obviously this format isn't a problem for you and this section of the board is for problems. This is uncomfortable for some of us, very uncomfortable. Considering it's a site most of us frequent by the hour or so, that's a problem.

Has it only been 2 months since this template was up? I know I've tried to use it on at least 2 separate occasions with a long period in between. I just never stuck with the template.

You have no idea what these "behind the scenes" things are, so you can't act like you know what exactly they are changing. And even if I didn't like it I wouldn't bitch about it because I would just grin and bear it. Eleibfrid(Read: Not Reeve!) said that it's going to be a few weeks, so i think your poor eyes can handle it.

I may not have an idea of what they are doing you're right, but I do know whatever they are doing doesn't require them to take off a default font to do so. Hell, I wouldn't say so if I didn't have an idea of how this stuff works. As for bitching. You're here bitching that we are bitching so I find it hard to believe you'd ever "grin and bear" anything, ever. If so, you'd "grin and bear" these posts. Like I said, this section is for those of us who have problems. Since you don't have a problem, get out and don't speak, that's for the admins to do. They fix problems not pecker heads lookin' to stir up the doo-doo drum.
Like the Flameboard situation, amirite? Or how about the swift strictness of Sculli's law when he came back from what seemed to be church camp? Yeah, bitching doesn't help anything at all.

Only problem with this being any valid point is that we were never forced to use this template. As far as I'm concerned, we only had one template... default. It was the only one that I could comfortably use with my horrid, horrid eye problems. I'm not one to complain unless something really gets to me or without good reason. I'd love to be supportive but it's kind of hard when something gives you a headache type sensation. This place is like a second newspaper to me so imagine your most read source getting turned into something you had to deal with rather than enjoy.

That's why I said at least 2, but I forgot it was now July so maybe March. I forgot when Nox came around, and he was the one that made this template.
You can probably imagine how terrible this looks at 1900x1200 now :-x
Please do something about the fixed length columns.
edit: Also I normally have avatars and sigs off, so I can't even imagine how much wasted space is going on with this new skin/format.
