- when I dont like someone then I dont raise them if I dont want... s/he might have agreed to raise before but I assume he didnt know who to raise... S/he should have done it i regardless what happened before... but I understand why s/he didnt... like it was said... its the dunes... would have been quciker to HP anyway...

- when you are tired dont seek or stop seeking...

I don't get it. If you're so afraid of raising someone you don't like, then you ask who's wanting to be raised before you head out. It isn't right to be petty and agree to something only to change your mind when you find it's someone you don't like.
 
Ok this really tugged on one of nerves. People like this should have the whm job revoked! Maybe you dont quite understand that whm is a helping job, we help people! So you didnt want to raise the guy, there are plenty of people I deny raises, BUT why would you say yes, waist the parties time, then say no when you get there. If your so far stuck up your own ass that you dont want to raise some people, ask who they are before you waist their time! Sure it was the dunes, and sure if he had his HP set there it would have been no biggie. But agreeing to do it then backing out is an asshat move. Although from the multiple posts youve made here and that have been made by you, I can see you are a complete ass. Ill remember your name, your on my naughty list. And remember that means I will never help ya out, I.E. no teleports, no raises, no plvling, no nada!

Couldn't have said it better myself. Dunes or no dunes. If you're there and agree to raise, just fucking do it. It's not like you're twisting your arm to help them. Cast the spell, insult them if you don't like them, and go about your day. Really quite simple.

Quite often the whm's I see in the dunes have their own personal PL cause they cant handle being responsble for a party 0f six alone. In my opinion if they cant handle the job they shouldnt be trying to level it. I partied with a 15 whm once that just sat there and did nothing, let his 75 rdm PL do all the party healing, when I asked if he could at least cast banish and skill up his divine he responded "Oh I dont have that spell."
 
The only fun thing about raising people is curing them before they actually get to their feet so they flop on their face. Sometimes they swim around on the ground, too. I'll raise anybody just to do that to 'em. Not sure if they can even see what happens to them, but I'm usually lol'ing pretty hard when it works.

Well they should be Dia'ing anyway... not spamming it of course (although it *does* make for lovely enfeebling skillups), but -5% def (-10% for Dia 2) is very much worth using. Ditto for Banish removing weapon resistances on undead.

As for PLs, my view of them is that they're good for:

- A way to not be screwed out of an otherwise decent lowbie party just because there doesn't happen to be a healer available at the time.
- A source of haste and/or raise before party members are high enough level to get it themselves.

If the PL is healing so much that the party's healers don't have any healing to do, that's too much. If the PL is healing so much that the party's tank isn't tanking, that's too much. If the PL is healing so much that the party's DDs don't learn to control their hate, that's too much.

I'm completely ok with a party member doing that but only on one condition and I know somebody who does it all the time. If you're 2-boxing and need to concentrate more on the PL than on the character you're lvling, by all means, please do. You're still playing an active role in the pt, and to me I don't really care what role it is, just so long as you're not leeching exp.

And i dunno, when i powerlvl, unless i am dualboxing, I let the Party do their job. And i only backup cure when the party looks like they aren't doing well. I'd rather the party learn their jobs than powerlvl them and let the whm steal exp. If you powerlvl so the tank doesn't tank and the mages don't heal then you are actually doing them harm more than anything. And I guess that is how players like Antdog get to 75 that quickly.

Then why power level? If you want people to learn their jobs don't fucking power level them they have to go through the same ups and downs. If you're going to power level them why not just cure bomb and you tank and just let everyone go balls to the wall? Seriously how you do it takes away from the white mage learning.

Also you said don't judge on what people said, but you turn right around and agree that Vagoo is a dick by what people have said.

Evasion caps in less than 5 minutes and with the shield patch it's even easier to cap shield especially in the dunes. Hell I kept shield capped the whole time before the shield patch it's not that hard. Be more concerned about the white mage not knowing how to cure a tank properly with a PL. If you're going to PL you might as well as do everything for them and toss the white mage for an extra DD, or not PL at all and force them to learn things on their own.

Again ill explain it for you one more time. When i powerlvl i let the party do their jobs. If i see that they are about to die then i take over. It lets the party think on their own w/o me stealing hate. By powerlvling balls to the wall you do not teach them jack shit. You just let the DD think "HAY GUYS IF I SOULEATER LAST RESORT AND KEEP THAT SHIT ON I WONT KEEP HATE!" If you teach DD's that then they'll never learn jack fucking shit about their jobs. See Tristamgreen is a good DRK knight before he retired it. As is Kohra. I'm sure they didnt have powerlvlers dicking them instead of teaching them on how to play their jobs. If you powerlvl them to the way you obviously believe is correct then you do not do not teach them a damn thing.

And secondly i'll repeat this one more time for you i never agreed w/ iaredrew. Go check.... I actually resorted to DISAGREEING w/ him on 3 accounts. I actually said several times i do not know who vsa is.

The only persons I have ever trusted to Powerlevel me are my wife Stine, and her sister Hornless. Generally-speaking, everyone else can piss off. She also normally powerleveled me back when I was soloing.

Yes, Romper, capping evasion is easy as hell. I have leveled Dark Knight; all it takes for me is a well-placed SE+LR+WS and a few seconds later, I've either capped my Evasion skill for that level, or I'm dead: normally, it's the former.

Vilurum said exactly what point I was making, with much more emphasis. I didn't say it was a bad thing for WHMs to Dia, nor to Banish. I only said it sends the wrong signals that it's okay to Banishbomb during an exp party (undeads or not).
