While you're entitled to that opinion, I'd argue that at the instant he agreed to Raise someone, it *then* became his obligation.

If someone in a party with Pandetech, Farthekiller, Kumarr, or any number of people asked me to Raise them (even without telling me it was one of them), I'd do it even if I found out who it was.

Again, i'mma chuck this out there. ive been in dunes many times and usually have my HP in whitegate. Since the an update a long while back, it takes equally as long getting from whitegate >(warp taru)> Home nation >(Outpost warp)> Camp then it does waiting for raise, only difference is your not losing possibly 200-300 exp.

The only person screwing up any party is the one who died, because they won't accept any loss of exp. Tho i'm not a "true whm" My rdm has been blessed/cursed with Raise, and I do sometimes get asked to raise and sometimes I feel nice and others I don't.

I hate it when I get asked to raise then say no just to be cussed out "it's your job to help us." I even got that passing by, then getting bug'd to Powerlevel a group. It is no one's job to do anything when they are doing it to be nice.

Just to put this out there. I never asked for the raise. The leader just volunteered as soon as i hit the dirt. Its not like i was whining about exp loss or anything. I think they didn't mind at all

If you're levelling in Valkurm, set your HP thereabouts (outpost or Konschtat zone if you own it, Selbina if you don't) and save everyone the headache. I don't care how much endgame you have to worry about quickly getting to afterward - what with outpost warps, town -> Whitegate warps, Whitegate -> town/Jeuno warps ... hell, now you can get to a miscellaneous maw, pop to the past, warp to a city, warp to another fort, and pop back out the nearby maw to the present - what with all those transportation options, it really doesn't take all that long to get from anywhere to anywhere.

So don't waste your own *and* 5 other people's time, if you die, just in an effort to save yourself (and *not* anyone else) a relatively small amount of time to go put your HP back where it was afterward.

At the very least, keep your HP in your home city (which lets you get to all sorts of places, and there's really no good reason *not* to keep it there these days anyway...), and OP back to Valkurm if you die. Bit slower, but still faster than getting a raise and subsequently waiting for weakness.

Note that none of these excuses the assholiarity demonstrated somewhat by the account in the OP, and more visibly by the perpetrator's posts in this here topic, mind you. But it's still a really good idea in general, and in this case it would've avoided the issue entirely.

Again ill explain it for you one more time. When i powerlvl i let the party do their jobs. If i see that they are about to die then i take over. It lets the party think on their own w/o me stealing hate. By powerlvling balls to the wall you do not teach them jack shit. You just let the DD think "HAY GUYS IF I SOULEATER LAST RESORT AND KEEP THAT SHIT ON I WONT KEEP HATE!" If you teach DD's that then they'll never learn jack fucking shit about their jobs. See Tristamgreen is a good DRK knight before he retired it. As is Kohra. I'm sure they didnt have powerlvlers dicking them instead of teaching them on how to play their jobs. If you powerlvl them to the way you obviously believe is correct then you do not do not teach them a damn thing.

The dunes is the dunes. New players will not likely have the Conquest Points to spend on RR scrolls and Selbina Milks are a very good idea. But the issue here is that the PT got someone to come and raise and the whm just looked at him and offed away. Pure asshole IMO. I have not had good run ins with this person either. I PL'ed a pt with her in it because I was helpnig a fellow mate. But I wouldn't go out of my way for her/him if she was in need of my assistance.

Don't waste peoples time? It's the fucking dunes. You know how much time is being wasted just by wanting a raise? If people would just put their Hp in Selbina or the Op then it'd save a lot of time and exp output would be higher.

Common courtesy is to raise. I can't tell you how many times I've run throught the dunes and come accross a fallen player to hop off my choco and help them out. Even to the person that is being chased by aggro'ed mobs. Maybe this is a question of ethics and how good of a person you are. Or ppl think they are too lolleet to help out lower level players.

Either case is. A little help goes a long way. I will not hesitate to help anyone out, not just in the dunes. Sometimes I might be unable to help out but I'll let them know and see if I can find someone else for them.
