WAR Maat Fight {Help me out!}

Hello everyone!

I've read guides on how to beat Maat as Warrior, and since I'm 70 finally, I want to kick Maat's ass but before I go, I'd like to know if any main warriors here could give me some tips to fight Maat, since I think I trust this more than some random guides > .>

oh and Opo necklace is a must, right? I have Raging Rush also.

Combo of acc and att gear, few hp pots and an icarus wing. Rush x2 and if needed a few melee hits after.

get around 200+ tp. Target maat, but at a distance he wont attack you. Toss on the buffs and run up hit him 1 time or w/e and WC, tp wing, WC = SC. He will be dead or 1 hit afterwards.
 
you might be wondering how you get the tp too... D:

Get an Opo-opo necklace and a stack of sleep pots. Put on the necklace, pop the pots til you ahve 300tp, get a blink band equip and use, then go to maat, berserk/aggressor, warcry, engage, get a hit in, mighty strikes, Raging Rush, pop an icarus wing, Raging Rush. Both WS should make Fragmentation. One of the easiest maat fights imo.

the only problem with this is having to get that dead old man smell out of your hauberk/bergeon lol.
 
prolly be best if you made a macro for the icarus wing for quick access and to get the SC off properly...

I beat this in 2 hits.

Here's how ( you must have Great Axe capped for this to work)

Sleep TP 100%, walk towards him, do not draw weapon yet.
berserk aggressor, attack him. hit him once, mighty strikes, raging rush, use icarus wing, raging rush. He's dead.

Also go into BCNM naked, equip after you enter.

DO NOT buy a blink band!! its a complete waste of gil and I was mad i wasted a minute blinking this easy crap!!
 
So you read all these uides, written by normal people, get on here, ask people on here like were different, and take this advice? Maat isnt different cross-server.... its not THAT big of a deal.
 
Pretty much what Seveath / Cokken said. Only thing is it was kinda a close fight for me (closer than i wanted) and i had a blink band up. I think this is cause of my low GAXE skill at the time, so try to get it up to about 240 or so if you can bro (is that cap?)

And if you need a blink band i wouldn't mind letting you use a charge off mine so long as you return it to a poor humble WAR ^^
 
Never said maat agroed and theres info you could find out on your own anyway (blink band). You can pull your gaxe out a few feet from maat with out attacking and after you buff, run up and begin swinging. With raging rush 300tp isnt needed todo over 1400 damage.

And for everyone else, thanks for your replies, I think I need to cap my GAxe because I missed a lot lol, yeah my first Raging Rush did 1000+, my second did 700ish >_< and then I kept missing a lot. x.x now I need to get another test >_<

Most of the times I learn what to do for BCNM's by watching video's of them. Most of the time I just go to KI and they have a ton of video's there you can watch. I belive they have a warrior maat fight too.

I seriously did 2,500 damage to him with RR > fragmentation.

What level was your GAxe and what gear did you use?

Just got another test today, gonna take my GAxe to 230 is that good enough?

Botosai: Yeah I watched 2 videos, one was with elvaan the other with hume, I think I know what was one of my mistakes.
 
I can't say i remember, but I had a hauberk, one of the better great axes. capped skill for lv 70 G axe... all DD gear that was good at that lv, not uber, just good. got naked went in re-equipped gear. ate meat kabob. slept tp 100% Berserk aggressor mighty strikes - raging rush x2 with ic wing dead.
 
Took me 3 tries. First time, I forgot to 2hr. Second time, I forgot sleeping pots. 3rd time, when I had everything and it all worked, I didn't get touched.

Basically going to rehash what everyone's said so far. Go in (I didn't bother with that entering-naked rumour myself), sleep tp (I went to 300% just for assurance), pop food (Sis Kebabi would be a good cheap solution, it's the +str you want more than anything), pop Blink Band if you have one. It can't hurt. Walk up, bergressor & warcry, engage, 2hr, Rush, wing, Rush, win.

You'll get a scroll of warp when you beat him too, so don't worry about the ride home.

Watch that if you want to see the strategy in action. I used a Carbonara for extra HP, but I was dumb and took it after sleeping to 300%. Also, you can notice that I messed up my wing for the SC. I still kicked his ass though. Mainly, I say use Mighty Strikes, but get a couple hits in BEFORE you WS. Once you WS he'll use Mighty Strikes and bring you down fast.

Edit: If you need a blink band, I haven't been able to get rid of mine from when I did Maat. So you can buy it, or use it, or whatever. PM me or send me a tell if you want to use it.
