Many of you may have been surfing FFXIclopedia recently and have seen the screen go white and pop up show up. I know its common sense but don't click on it. Its malware that downloads a "Personal Antivirus" program. Just a friendly heads up.
 
Pop-up blockers ftw. IE has it built in, if not using it..Use it ;D
 
Yeah I got this the other day, freaked out, lol. Didn't click on anything but it wouldn't stop popping up for a good 20 minutes. I've used it since then and haven't run across it. Hope its all fixed up.
 
its still coming up as of right now. not alot as morwen mentioned though.

This is what triggered my switch to Firefox. I got infected with one of those "Virus Protection" pop-ups and had a hell of a time getting rid of it. It's funny how people don't understand until they make the switch. Internet Explorer sucks. Period. Once you switch you'll understand.

Well, once you get infected through IE you'll understand. It's like herpes, nobody appreciates -not- having it, until it starts to hurt when you pee. Then you're like "Fuck, I should've been better protected"
