This is weak, but it set me off on how easy they were able to make the decision.

We're partying in Kuftal Tunnel with 6/6. And all of a sudden they're like, lets go party at Wajaom Woodlands. I have the expansion but haven't quested to get to Whitegate. So the leader Jens says "Sorry, we're going to party there." ... So I get dumped because I'm leveling to get a higher level to get to Whitegate. Yay, so the little guy gets f*cked over. Really annoying, and I'm posting to see if that's a common thing now a days? It's really low and shallow I get dropped just like that so they get an extra 1kxp an hour.

the expansion's been out for a year >_>; how can you not have it?

edit: access to aht urghan and its runic portals

It is common for people to prefer camping in ToAU areas because of the exp/refresh/food bonuses from sanction, and the general squishiness of mobs. However, that is no excuse to shaft a fellow party member in the way they did. In a perfect world, you would confirm what camps someone has available to them, before inviting.

If you need help getting whitegate access Helius, I can help you farm a coffer or testimony :O

Seriously... it's been almost 2 years since the expansion came out. When it came out my Paladin was 52 I believe. You know what I did? I went Paladin/Thief and farmed the subjob items to gain access. Seriously you don't need the test or coffer keys to gain access. You're just lazy.

You DON'T even need a test or a key. He can go farm the freaking subjob items which will take as long as most test or coffer key drops.

It's a lot more than 1k/hr more xp in wajaoam than kuftal. Sucks it happened, but you can't expect parties to hold back on your behalf just because it's the "right thing to do". You can call them selfish for wanting more xp than they were getting, but then what do you call asking 5 people to get a lot less xp than they could be getting so keep you with them?

I don't have it because I didn't know there was a huge benefit to it. My highest job is my 52 DRK. If I had known I could level there much easier. I would of gotten it as soon as everyone else did.

On another note, thanks for the information. Now I have something to do besides sit in my MH all day.

You never wondered why so many people went there...

You never even went to talk to the guy to see what you had to do? SE didn't want to fuck over their whole player base by making a coffer or test a requirement.

I'm well aware of the requirements, thanks. I suggested a coffer key or test because they're generally faster to acquire as it involves less travel. Generally speaking, one doesn't really start partying in ToAU areas until mid-50's anyway. Perhaps Helius didn't have the information regarding the sub-job items. But yes Romper, you're a magnificent individual for farming those all by yourself, a hearty pat on the back for you.

And you wonder why you're my favourite little tart.

I didn't realize 52 was mid-50s. Jesus it's not hard to walk into the place and check requirements to gain ToAU access. The invite last I saw was 10,000 gil.

You're also acting like a test and coffer are high drop rates. The only poor drop rate for the subjob items is the skull and thats it. Also I didn't realize that Gusgen> Dunes> Ferry> Mharua was lots of travel.

Whats beyond me is why spend $30 and then have 0 desire to check out the content, even if you felt you were too low of a level to fully benefit from being there, you still couldve done some of the quests and possibly made some gil... the worst part of that assumption is that you could've participated @lvl 50 and xp wouldve been phenomenal.

So now you're 1 year behind the pack, good luck getting missions and assaults done, sure the rewards from them aren't game breaking, hell most of them you couldnt even use, but you couldve sold some items to get money for your haubergeon thats coming up, or at the very least help sustain your food costs.

I know noizy tribe is just a social shell, but im really surprised no one from there jumped in to break your ignorance.

Cause I didn't take my LS with me. Put everything but armor in MH, I'm doing the quest now, need the robe, then off to dunes...

52 is pushing it.

54 is the common Wajaom entry level, and that's what reference was made to, 53 is mehish, 52 is a desperate start to struggle then work into flowing xp with an average-skilled pt.

Also it's easier to get a test or coffer key in one place over an hour or less instead of the transit and farm time required for the six subjob items, though I personally did the subjob items myself.

Either way is a viable option, and if you have stubby Taru legs... It -is- lots of travel.

Also, on what Motley said, I hold the same stance on the last statement there if you've been speaking much in said LS about your XPing adventures.

Also a head's up before someone here says something silly...

Be sure to get most/all your staging points before you level out of Wajaom range.

You -will- be asked to travel to Mamool Ja, Halvung, Azouph Isle and Nyzul mostly, but it's good to have them for the sake of having them later...

Periqia(sp?) and Ilrusi Atoll are the others but you should still make an adventure about getting them done.

GL Helius. XD

Even in general conversation in LS outside of this said experience, it's hard to believe no one said much unless you're very quiet and reserved about what you do.

Though it is commonplace to assume everyone -knows- there are some people fresh into it who don't and I guess some insight was lacking or you're just a quiet motherfucker.

Coffer Key in a beastmen stronghold. Quest ova.

That is just as bad especially Beasux. Oztroja isn't so bad I suppose. Davoi haven't had one there yet I just picked the chest with my thief for the thief hands.

I think I was around 39 PLD when I did my first besieged. Ohh the memories.

Im not suggesting your LS shouldve been there guiding you, Gaining access to ToAU isnt an LS event.

I simply thought that in general conversation over say, the last 12 months, someone would've said something about the content in ToAU that would've sparked your interest. Like, about how besiged is a nice way to get some xp when nothing else is going on, or maybe you would complain about a party and they could say "ToAU, much better xp"
