First off it wasnt a warp stick it was a Shellbuster. And i had dual weapons on one was ifrits Blade. I switched out soon after to a Wise wizard sword and Ifrits Blade since i didnt like the the total damage i was doing. Also it wasnt skilling up it was keeping it capped which was maybe 1 or 2 levels away. And blus second highest weapon is club. Not to mention i was still outdamaging you with the club on. So i dont see your point in flaming me but whatever.
It doesn't matter how far away it is from cap, skill up on your own damn time and don't hinder 5 other people. And seriously, a SHELLBUSTER? That thing is level 48!

As i said it wasnt long maybe 5 minutes max before he blew up. And you skill up on a weapon everytime you level or do you even play the game.

People gimp their gear in this game? WTF no way! Best solution? Kick 'em. If you don't build your own pts then you get to enjoy whatever crappy players your pt leader invites.

What's this? A blu getting refresh from BOTH a brd and a rdm at once can outdamage a ninja vs cobroli that steal food from said ninja so that the ninja cant hit accurately? That's an amazing thing you discovered.

Make excuses why you sucked i dont care. If i recall correctly you died to those bird 2 or 3 time. And you want to sit there and call me gimped when you cant even play your own job.

That isn't an excuse it's a reason. You simply can't use acc food on colibri if you are tanking. It isn't worth your time to take it with you. If you could use food, you had a damn fine tank that could keep hate even when handicapped.

I was doing more tanking then he was since my damage was higher. Since the gimpy tank would either die or couldnt keep hate for his life. Not excuses its fact. So I also didnt have food.

yeah i heard he sucks on NIN so don't take that guy too seriously.

if he was skilling up that's another story, but he's keeping his weapon skills capped. big difference here.

and another thing, we all can't have the best gear can we? i don't know why you're bashing someone on choosing sipahi over hauby, maybe they have plenty of acc a nice crit merits. who knows

and another thing, i was leveling nin as well and had no problem keeping had with the right enmity gear and acc gear to cover my lack of food. so before khajit bashesother on their gear, he should look at himself. because if what bloodscream says and from what others have said, you truly do suck at nin. hypocrit

Wow, so you make sure to keep all of your weapon skills capped right after you level? Do us all a favor and never, ever touch WAR or THF.

No i keep Gaxe capped and axe capped on war. Each job has a weapon or 2 there skilled in. I like to keep that capped. Club and Staff are a bit hard since the damage is low on them. So i put the club on to see the damage which i didnt like. And replaced it with another sword. Not worth a flame imo but whatever.

i'm sure it's not quite like you say. It's more towards like a DRK with SCythe and greatsword. a PLD with sword and staff.

well maybe more towards sword and staff seeing how club isnt neccessary but nice to have. Either way his reasons were just. If it was truly something along the lines of his blue going in bare handed then we'll have a problem. seeing how club is blu's best next wep than it's understandable.

You are forgetting that he was using a freaking shellbuster.

By the logic of "keep B- weapons or stronger capped even if the party's better off if you don't", we would get the following:

WAR neglecting A+ GAX and A- Axe to cycle through: B- Dagger, B Sword, B+ GSD, B+ Scythe, B- Polearm, B- Club and B Staff.
MNK neglecting A+ H2H to skillup B Staff.
RDM meleeing, period (with B Dagger and B Sword).
WHM meleeing, period (with B+ Club).
BLM meleeing, period (with B- Staff).
PLD neglecting A+ Sword to cycle through B GSD, A- Club, A- Staff.
DRK neglecting A+ Scythe and A- GSD to cycle through B- Sword, B- Axe, and B+ GAX.
RNG meleeing with B- Dagger or B- Axe, rather than standing back and shooting stuff from a good distance with A- Archery/Marksmanship.
BRD meleeing, period (with B- Dagger).
BST neglecting A- Axe to skillup B- Scythe. (Though if they're solo and they want to, more power to them.)
SAM neglecting A+ GKT to skillup B- Polearm.
DRG neglecting A+ Polearm to skillup B- Staff.
SMN meleeing, period (with B Staff).
BLU neglecting A- Sword to skillup B- Club.
COR meleeing with B+ Dagger or B- Sword, rather than standing back and shooting stuff from a good distance with B Marksmanship, and running around keeping rolls on people.
(PUP does not possess any offensive combat skills B- or higher, unfortunately.)

What can we conclude from this? There are times and places to skillup weapons you're kinda good at, but which are not your best contribution to an exp party. (Whether the rest of the party is pulling their weight or not is irrelevant to this - the solution to that particular problem is not to bring yourself down to their level and consequently lose any right to criticize.)

Hint: think skillup parties and Besieged (with the provision of "only if it's going well").

If your second best weapon caps significantly lower than your best weapon, if it has even worse WS selection than it (and while it's hard to have worse WS selection than Sword, Club manages to do that), and if there are practically no weapons of that type usable by your job that actually have good stats (most good clubs are PLD and/or WHM, only) ... yeah ...

Don't melee with a club in an exp party. You could ignore skilling up the weapon entirely on BLU for all that it'd really affect you. :P

EDIT: As it is, WARs and DRKs and RNGs have a hard enough time keeping their justifiable multiple weapons (A- or higher, and good weapon and WS selection in each) capped in exp.

We dont get much choice in the club area it was the highest damaging club we could use. So its not like i was wearing a club with 3-4 dmg on it.

I have never seen a 73 sam geared this way.

And IMO, it's rather pointlessto bitch about gear of people below 40. A lot of ppl just lvling their sub, and you get easy xp at those lvl anyways. The difficulties come in late 40s-50. Those are the lvls where you'd need real gear to xp.

Yes you are correct vil I didnt know the damage was going to be so poor in the exp pt. Which is why it was switched soon after. Doesnt make me gimped however lol.

not really, shellbuster is kinda best club there is for the dmg and lvl requirement.

club isnt meant to be the best out there and you really are quite limited to your options. I've read the flame and it's as was said; Adding to that his job was blu, his dmg comes from his spells, well the majority of the dmg that is, and that 10 extra dmg if he was dual wielding swords instead wouldn't make that much a difference for 1-2 LVL SKILL UPS. I mean it was best to do the 2 swords but i doubt you would hardly notice the difference in a couple mins of swining around a club just to cap it.

because as said, he had to gimp out on the food just to ease the dmg which was being pulled out. i'm sure the club off handing wasn't such a big loss. I find it's the flamers need to make a big deal out of such a little thing.

Which is precisely why it's not really worth the trouble to keep capped. It'd be another matter entirely if you could actually equip halfway decent clubs, but seriously, is there any time (aside from wanting skillups, or wanting to feed a mob TP with very low damage) when you would *choose* to use a club on BLU?
