At $9250 per song, I would be charged $105,237,250.
$28,379,000 of that would be for beatles music alone.

I had no idea anyone still used Kazaa...
This'd only be if you tried to fight it, like she did. Everyone up until now settled out of court, and were usually fined a few thousand dollars.I'd be about $61 million in the hole. Why not do the right thing and buy all of your music? Becuase it's fucking stupid. Go to the shows, share the music, and enjoy it all the way it was meant.

The RIAA and similar groups want fair use abolished (The DCMA is helping them a lot with this), combined with absurd markups on media, poor compatibility, small amounts of money actually going to the performer, the list goes on and on.
Another answer to that "why not buy it?" bit would be:
Make a fucking album that's actually worth me buying the whole thing and I will buy it.
Last Album I bought was John Butler Trio - Grand National.
Exactly. That's what I'm talking about. You don't need to buy every piece of garbage you listen to just once, but if you truly appreciate someone's music, movie, book, art, etc. pay for it and reward that artist's dedication to their craft. They have provided you with something that makes you happy.
Not doing so is like sneaking into a movie and loving it. Sharing the moment with your friends... "That fucking ruled!!!"
And not paying for a damn thing.
While it's neato to skate by, you're simply unwilling to reward things that you really truly enjoy. Kinda makes you a dick.
Don't get me wrong. Despite this, I try to buy what I feel is genuienly good music that was produced for the right reasons, but what's more important, the small amount made by CD sales, or knowing that great music is getting around?
Pink Floyd said:Come in here, Dear boy, have a cigar.
You're gonna go far,
You're gonna fly high,
You're never gonna die,
You're gonna make it, if you try;
They're gonna love you.
Well I've always had a deep respect,
And I mean that most sincerely.
The band is just fantastic,
that is really what I think.
Oh by the way, which one's Pink?
And did we tell you the name of the game, boy?
We call it Riding the Gravy Train.
We're just knocked out.
We heard about the sell out.
You gotta get an album out.
You owe it to the people.
We're so happy we can hardly count.
Everybody else is just green,
Have you seen the chart?
It's a hell of a start,
It could be made into a monster
If we all pull together as a team.
And did we tell you the name of the game, boy?
We call it Riding the Gravy Train.
