Yep. Completely stupid, but pretty damn tough. Lucky thing the baby wasn't bigger... I doubt she woulda tried a self-caesarian.

I'm just mesmerized that so many people actually think this is a great thing. Sure she was responsible enough to birth the baby on her own, but responsibility was thrown out the window as soon she got knocked up especially at the age of 17 possibly 16?

Teen Pregnancy, unnecessary risk, lack of respect for herself, endangering the life of her and her child, lying to her parents, deceit... All these are the positives then I guess? I mean, they must be. I was negative for pointing it out.

I apologize, sincerely apologize, for not being more considerate to whomever this girl is. I overlooked one thing, and that is she overcame her obesity to job in short stints to the hospital. Bitch don't even got a license & car. I worked from 14-16 to get mine, but I also knew enough about clotheshangers to not let a girl get pregnant >.>

I think it's sad that we live in a world where we're so relieved she didn't throw it in a dumpster or try to flush it down the toilet that they're applauding her. Congrats! You followed up being a completely irresponsible teenager by getting knocked up in the first place with risking your own life and the childs by giving birth in the shower and riding your baby's umbilical cord all the way to the hospital. Good job!

If I hear one more politician talking about preaching abstinence to these kids instead of making information about birth control and protection available, I'm gonna scream. If their parents don't teach them well enough, they should at least be aware of the resources to make smarter choices themselves.

I feel lucky my mom scared the living shit out of me talking to me about teenage pregnancy and sex. She'd say "When you decide to have sex, dear, please use a condom. I'll get them for you if you want. It's totally natural for you to want to be pleased sexually."
