What anime are you watching/reading

I often rotate. Since I watch one ep. of any given series a day, I watch several series at a time so I have more to watch. I range from 1 to 5 series at a time...which equals abut 1-5eps pf anime a day depending on how many series Im watching at that time.....
Sorry for offtop: viagra prescription

Just finished watching Kaiba and Eden of the East recently. Gooood stuffff.

Well I just finished watching Simoun and I have to say it was surprisingly very good, considering I just picked it up at random 'cause it had pretty girls on it. lol.

The story was pretty good, but definitely very girly although that was to be expected when I found out everyone is born a girl. Though I have to say it wasn't so girly that I couldn't enjoy it, I guess because some of the girls had man-like personalities at times. There are "men" in this world, but they were all girls at some point in their life before they chose to become a male. (which is only slightly made creepy due to the fact that every voice in the show was a woman, despite belonging to a male or female character) That process was all magical and mysterious and basically had something to do with altering time and space and that hooplah. Well, that hooplah actually plays a pretty large roll in the story considering the Simouns are 'divine craft' and thier motors have the ability to alter/control time and space.

Anyway, I don't want to get ahead of myself too much. The main point is I really ended up enjoying this series. There was a lot more too it than I thought, most of it though was character building and relationship building threw the course of an ongoing overall world story. There's so many different things going on with each girl or as they are referred to in the anime 'Simoun Sibyllae'. (the main story is about these 12 Sibyllae in particular, that are part of a 'chor' (basically like a squadron), Chor Tempest to be exact. At the beginning they are known as the best chor in the world basically. And I'll leave the rest up to anyone who wants to check this one out.

Another reason I give props to this anime is that it's one of the few that gives you a glimpse of the characters after the main part of the story is over, time passes and they look different. I always enjoy stories that do that, to me it gives a more "completeness" feel to the anime.

Simoun also has rather pleasant music. Infact the only thing I didn't like initially was that they use a lot of still frames at times and they have a look like they were painted with a brush and easel, but I eventually looked past this and started to enjoy those scenes... however they are still glaringly apparent when they are being used.

Okay, back again. So I finally got around to watching Gantz because the whole series is ridiculously cheap at Best Buy.

I have to say I hated the way they made the dvds. Just 2 episodes a dvd for the first half of the series? WTF?! Extremely retarded idea there.

As far as the actual series goes, I really enjoyed it. Had incredible action and was extremely brutal. Haven't watched an anime that gory in a while, it was oddly refreshing. All the boobs and stuff were definitely not an unwelcome sight either. The story itself was interesting. The only thing that pisses me off is the ending. You don't find out what happens! >< I fucking hate those kinds of endings, they're even worse than endings that just don't make sense. I wanted to punch my tv when it ended the way it did.

However, everything up to that point was badass. It really sucked that certain people died, I would have liked to have seen them live.

I just wish the ending wasn't such bullshit. ><;

Reminds me of FLCL I watched recently which only had 2 episodes a disc too. It was the first time I had seen a series like this and after episode 2 ended it just went back to the menu. At that point my first thought was that the disc was faulty lol. But after doing some digging around I found that it only had 2 episodes much to my amazement.

I guess this is why they are saying the market for single dvd volumes is dead because people just arn't buying 6 or more volumes to complete a set anymore. And is why we're seeing people like Funimation, ADV/Sentai releasing half season sets or full season boxes. Not that i'm complaining though cause it takes a lot less room on my space deprived shelves XD.

Currently I'm really enjoying Darker Than Black, and pleased to hear about the second season that's coming up.

Other than that, Spice and Wolf II, Umineko no Naku Koro ni, Bakemonogatari, and CANAAN keep me wanting more as the weeks go on and Fight Ippatsu!, Princess Lover!, and Yoku Wakaru Gendai Mahou have kept me decently entertained when I've wanted something to watch in between. Out of all of them though, Spice and Wolf has been the most entertaining.

I am reading Basara right now, its pretty good, and a VERY long manga. It ran from 1990 to 1998.

Watched the 2nd released part of D. Gray-Man and it was awesome as I thought it would be. I just got a sad face though when the story just really actually started to move and that's the end of the dvds for now. ><

Waiting for the next part.

Started up watching Samurai Champloo. It'll be nice to actually watch the whole series. Last time I caught any of it was when it used to air on Adult Swim. So I'm happy to watch the unedited version with no commercials.

its good, I kinda wished it was a bit longer though

Also enjoying Bakemonogatari at the moment.

Very entertaining, lol. Then again, I'm weird.

Gundam 00 is really good...I just think that Tiera(sp?) the purple haired guy should actually be a lady instead...way too feminine...the series is actually cool so far! How old is the series if ya don't mind my asking?

you know what else gets me...he has the biggest fucking gundam...compensating for something?!

Rewatched Neon Genesis Evangelion for the seond time a week or so ago (aswell as the films) which reminds me why this series is as big as everyone says it is. Totally awesome thrill-ride from start to finish.

Currently watching Karin (on episode 15 now) and enjoying the moe-girl/vampire fun so far lol

I also noticed some of Urahara's and Matsumoto's voice actors playing the Dynames dude and the on that predicts everything and drinks alcohol a lot...

Also, Kumby changed from Sub to Dub...I much prefer dubs as reading subs sometimes makes you miss stuff due to skim reading etc etc. The dub doesn't seem to bad either ^^
