What anime are you watching/reading?

One of my resent favourites was Ergo Proxy so I’ve been looking for some similar stuff to watch (love the post apocalyptic atmosphere), any reconditions?

Stop lookin', unfortunately there isn't anything there to find. There is some more Ergo Proxy stuff on the way though.

Just finished watching all 26 episodes of Negima!? (season 2), english dub.

I would recommend this to anyone who loves a good comedy anime with plenty of randomness, it was a real thrill ride. I can't really compare it to the first season as it's a very different take on the same plot. The first season had a more serious and standardised feel to it whereas the second was just all hell breaking loose and stuff happened because it can lol. Plus it got all of the huge cast involved in it unlike the first season where it was just the the usual 4-5 girls (Asuna, Konoka, Setsuna, Evangeline etc etc). The english dubbing was pulled off very well also.

I agree completely, I also just finished watching the last half of Negima!? last night. I really like how they let you really get to know all of the girls and not just a handful of them. I also feel the action animation was done better in the second series. I do kinda wish Negi had actually got to meet Nagi instead of always being just a second too late. The story was very well done, though the plot was kind of predictable.... In a good way. ^^

You are a failure, you fail at being Makie!

I finished up Shigurui: Death Frenzy last night.

The anime itself was visually impressive and extremely mature. It's an extremely violent anime where the line between good and evil is practically non-existent. Every character has flaws and no one is really a good person. It's set up in Ancient Japan and is supposedly based off true events. I think..

The one glaring thing that bugged me, is how it ends. It leaves so many unanswered questions, that it's simply frustrating. For example the anime starts out with a fight between the two characters that the rest of the anime revolves around and I'll straight up tell you right now. You never know who wins that fight because it's never shown. Never once, after the first episode. There's other details I would have like to have known too, but you never get to know those either because the anime ends without letting you know. >< Arg!

*sigh* Next up is Gravion and Gravion Zwei.

Watching episode Three Hundred and Ninety Five of One Piece, 5 weeks until it reaches the landmark 400th episode!

I'm also considering buying all 53 volumes from Japan.

I recently finished watching Rumbling Hearts (Kimi ga Nozomu Eien) and man what an emotional rollercoaster that was. The series was constantly ripping my heart in 2 as I felt the characters pain and suffering as the series progressed and I was wondering if there would ever be any happy/cheery moments to try and balance the depressing tone it was giving. Thankfully, there was a somewhat good ending lol. It was really good to watch though, because I personally like anime that plays with my emotions in the way Rumbling Hearts did. Whether it makes me laugh out loud or brings tears to my eyes, it's all good.

Sadly all I have left on my shelf right now in regards to unwatched anime is Clannad pt1/2. But I am gonna wait until pt2/2 comes out next month before watching it, so I can view the whole season in one go.

To compensate for my anime drought, I have gone spending (wheeee). And have ordered/pre-ordered...
Elfen Lied, Chobits, Mahoromatic (first season), Pretear and Ouran High School Host Club.

I am still awaiting my delivery from Rightstuf also, consisting of My-Otome and Moonphase. But this has been held up until since volume 4 of My-Otome was out of stock -.-... oh well.
So, plenty to be watching once it falls through my front door :D

Right now I've just started with Gravion Zwei ..which really is just the second season of Gravion. Since it just continues where Gravion left off. I'm liking the show so far, glad to finally see a real villan behind the minions that were attacking the earth before.

I also just started watching Dragon Ball Kai and I have to say... I'm disappointed. I was expecting a newly animated Dragon Ball Z remake. Yet, all it appears to be is Dragon Ball Z with I guess digitally remastered footage. The colors are nice and bright, but you can tell it's still the same old DBZ. I was really expecting that since this was 'Dragon Ball Kai' that it would at the very least maintain the same story but with brand new up-to-date animation. Sadly it looks like the only new animation is just in the opening, closing, and seg-way animations. What a huge disappointment.

And onto another anime I'm watching that isn't a disappointment! Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood. It's great to see FMA again with refreshing new animation.

Watched the bolded and both were very enjoyable, I think you'll like them!

So I just recently started getting back into anime....

Currently, reading the Claymore manga on chapter 75. Plan on picking up and reading Basilisk after I am finished with Claymore.

Started watching Record of Lodoss War and have Elfen Lied after that :)

Ah.. Record of Lodoss War is a really old title, and quite frankly (at least the english version anyway) imo it isn't that great. What I do like about it is the almost D&D feel of the realm. Elfen Lied on the other hand, is amazing.

Never read the Basilisk manga but I do have the anime and it's quite good. One of the many I really enjoyed.

Yeah, I've watched the first few Record of Lodoss War and haven't really gotten into too much. Might put it down and pop in some Elfen Lied instead tonight.

Finished Claymore chapter 90 and getting ready to start Basilisk! Claymore manga is so much better than the anime.

Well I'm looking for something new to watch add a notch to my anime belt.

So far I'm done or caught up to:

Bleach
Death Note
Claymore
Metabots
Soul Eater
Welcome to the N.H.K.

I think it's going to be D.Gray Man next I think.

Edit: Scratch that, Dragon Ball. I've never seen it.

Just started up Chobits. Seems pretty funny so far.

I got that through the post the other day but is on the "to watch" list.

I have currently been re-watching both seasons of School Rumble atm. I love this show ^^

Finished Elfen Lied while I was on orders in MD. I remember first trying to watch that show a few years ago and after the first DVD telling my friend it was too intense for me. Now when I watched it, it didn't bother me very much.. then I remembered I tried watching it the first time before I joined the Army!

Trying to get a hold of Basilisk. Started reading the manga, saw some clips of the anime and it looks really pretty. Also just watched the new FMA: Brotherhood on funimation.com. Sooo pretty!! :)
