The new fishing system is awesome. I love it, it makes catching fish, not only fun, but a lot easier. Plus, Bots don't work! Sweet.
What do you think of the new fishing system?

"you lost your catch" a bajillion times @_@ and i would only get 0.1 skill up after that bajillion of missing.

Glad to see you made it to Rabao, Blackmage. I'll wave if I see you there. The moat carp are insane in that place. I love it.
I heard SE horribly nerfed fishing in towns a while back... is that true? Or was it just a rumor?
Anyway, if you're going for moat carp, I suggest Korroloka Tunnel, in the southwest corner of the map that has the NIN quest leeches on it (it's also the map with the zone to West altep (not East altep)). You can catch carp and sandfish there rather easily, and skillup on the sandfish until 50. There's also rusty caps, greatswords, and picks to be caught. There's a few monsters, but the strongest is a kraken, and if you bring a weapon and maybe some of your EXP gear with, you can kill them easily.
Not sure what rod to use there, though, as the patch changed rods a lot.

I like the fishing , i just started yesterday and got 7 stacks of moat in 3 hrs. That is like 30k. It is a lot of fun
Yes, the new fishing system is great, but from what I am hearing moat carps are being put up for sell more than being sold. Remember, new, better system comes along with people trying to capitalize on it as much as they can. Alot of people pre update couldnt stand fishing because it was "boring" and not very "easy". Now post update everyone and their damn mothers will be on it trying to catch the same damn thing f**ing moat carp! So, yes I agree it is alot more interesting and fun, but I also think it is a bad thing cause now ALOT of people will join in on fishing and totally mess the fish market up. I warn my friend that this new fishing system was going to mess the fish market up and when I said that there was about 3-5 stacks of carp a day now he tells me it is like 75 stacks of carp. The huge flood of fish is going to drop the price down and then we will have a brand new topic to bitch at. YAY!!! lol
