What do you think of this style for QCDN?

Yes. I've been trying to come up with themes but thus far my only prototype looks like shit.
 
Looks a little similar to the old style QCDN used to have. I do enjoy this one better. I'm good with the change, but lets throw some other ideas out there too so we can get something the majority of us agree on.
 
That New style is horrible. I like this board the way it is. HFboards.com also has a nice layout IMO. Then again I post there alot too, so maybe it all comes down to what I'm used to..lol.

I personally like this forum setup. Those that don't like "bright" backgrounds may enjoy something similar to this. http://www.voiceofwrestling.com/forums/

But thats a major difference than what we have now and I can see people not liking that one as well. Just throwing an idea out there though.

I love that site and I'm not Canadian. <3 hockey

As for the site, it's a nice layout, the coloring is a little bright though. Perhaps that layout would be nice but with a darker colored background and text to match with it. (the black and red layout is nice, but for some reason the red text hurts my eyes) I don't have any examples but I'm sure others will find something.

its too boring. but so it was what we have now. we need something with originality, like the nDesign on bgforums with rotating headers and etc. thats hot.
 
Hrm... Interesting but the top buttons/tabs are too crammed together. We have a lot more button content than the example.

The suggested look seems too simple. Currently these forums are fine in color scheme and arrangement and blend in with work/school windows too. Anything that has too extreme of colors sticks out too much and can be more of an eye strain than creative design. Leave that to the multitudes of myspace and facebook communities.

And of course the example forum has the forum bots. ;p
 
I think if you introduce more hacks this site could get much better... like more :smiley:s and the one that tells you what posts are new since your last visit, and shows it upon clicking the little button.
 
or there could be a contest , install a sokkit server to your pc and people try to design their own?
 
Quick question, if you're never around nore hardly post/pay attention to the needs of the board... why spend the time to upgrade the graphics? Just leave it be.

well i think it deserves an upgraded look, this is old and plain. This one still should stay as an option so those who enjoy plain, can have it too.
 
I really love the way QCDN is right now, change would be to.. big.

But, I love the design Sorrow posted. Really nice looking.
