What exactly keeps you on this game?

The only things that keep people to this game usually I think are friends, and just the addictiveness of it.

And once the population drops on FFXI, the game will slowly die I believe, since it is so very much group based

This could be the greatest game I'll never finish playing, there is just so much to do in FFXI that I dont even touch my gaming systems anymore, guess I at least save money now not buying many differnt games I'll never complete, now I just have one.

lol...i've been playin almost three years now, and nothing has a "claim" on me, i still love the game, and like Jeska said...it saves me lots of money lol.

For most of the time, its been friends (I would not be 75BLM w/o a certain RNG pushing me, lol). Now its mainly the BLU job, as well as the missions (BLU got me to take up COP, but now I'm hooked on the story, lol). Tbh though, and I've said this to alot of people, had ToAU not been released, I probably would've quit by now.
