Disclaimer: I stated i was done with this thread and i am, however due to how late it was and the previous responses to this post i do believe and explination is in order.

Cubs made a update thread in which numerous people were doing the whole "OH NOEZ RNG GIMP AND NM GIMPINGS! I'M NOT GOING TO BE AS LEET!!" bitching. one of the people doing the bitching as well as making some more than valid points about the issue being kinda lame on some points was vang. I read all 13 pages of the post and decided to post my usual "omg it's an update, get the fuck over it already" posts that i've done god knows how many times all the while not picking on anyone in particular. I named no names, i honestly didn't mean it towards anyone in particular save those who piss and whine and moan about an update to this game. Well vang took it as a personal insult and decided to start talking bullshit about me on a general discussion board, so rather than draw it out there i made a thread here and gave him a rational reason to flame me, as opposed to him being paranoid and believing without a doubt that i was out to flame him in the cubswoo update thread. For starting this thread and handling this where it belongs i was insulted by cubs (granted i did throw the first stone on that one, but you'd figure a mod on the flameboard would know better than to jump waist deep in shit they weren't welcome in) and am generally annoyed with these boards, as apperantly it's more than fine to act like a complete douche for some people wherever they please on the boards and some people can just go fuck themselves or be abused for their POV.

Anyway, yes someone twisted my nipples. No, i did not mean the post in the update thread towards any one person in particular, though many have told me i did ... which i find kinda funny since i wronte it. I didn't drop it because i didn't like how this was going, i dropped it because my point had been made and even the people who stuck up for vang on this one PM'd me he's a giant douchebag and to just let it go. I'm not going to sit and whine and argue with someone so self-absorbed they thing their opinion and their opinion alone drove me to write something telling most people to just get the hell over the update, especially when i didn't name names nor was my intention to get bashed by some asswipe who gets paranoid any time anyone plays the puritst.

Cubs, you're a joke. If this is any indication of how things are going to go on this board i'm really glad i'm just going to skip over it from now on. I haven't the patience or the time to continue to repeat the annoying blather that runs rampant on these boards as a whole. Just about every other thread anywhere else on this board is a flame and it's getting really lame, I can remember when other people's POVs were welcome posts on this place, it would seem those days are gone.

I'm sure cubs and vang and who the hell ever feels like it will respond and feel like calling me a dick and all, whatever, i could give a shit. I find it amazing the same people who defended him turned around and PMd me he's a dick and does this to everyone. Fire, you're right, this isn't my style and honestly i'm above it, however i figured bringing this type of shit here was what the board is for, apperantly that's not how it works anymore.
 
Mokk, I'm a poster first and a mod a distant, distant second. Stop bringing it up. If I felt you were 'pwning me' or hurting my feelings and now because my title is green instead of black I need to refrain from getting into Flameboard topics you really need to get over the fact that just because I can lock a thread doesn't mean I'm going to change who I am on the Flameboards.

Also note that, again, you stoked the fire on a sensitive topic ON THE INTERNET. Of COURSE people are going to jump down your throat. OF COURSE you're going to get your 'nipples twisted,' as you say. It happens to everyone, and just because you're trying to take some kind of moral high ground now doesn't excuse you from getting in there and slinging in the first place. You moved the venue to the FB (where these things belong, granted) and when you didn't get glorified for your views you want to take your ball and go home. And you have the right to simply stop posting and let the thread drop to oblivion.

The board is what it is, Mokk, and not much has changed aside from you having some kind of irrational fear of me locking or deleting your topics and being some kind of forum furher. I don't do that, I won't do that. You're free to call me a 'joke' or whatever you like. Hell, it's your opinion, and I've been called worse.

To sum up, I'd hope you find a thicker skin if you want to bring up controversial topics in the future, because starting a fight and then quitting because the other person dared to fight back is no way to get your points across.
 
Let's just get one thing straight, i've said this numerous times: I could care if he quoted me then responded to the post in general without personal mudslinging about how much better than me vang is compounded by cubs lack of reasoning or comprehension of the post in general. I find it hysterical that it got this reaction as i've posted the same thing with no one going apeshit about 20 times now. Cubs himself had a post in there looking for some abuse by vang, pardon me if i think that being an insulting prick and using personal attacks to get your point across is supposed to be something limited to the flameboard. As i said before i'm not backing out because he fought back, i'm backing out because there's no need to argue with someone who wont listen anyway, i've been here long enough now to just let it go once i've said my peace and someone wants to act like a douche and believe what they want about me.

And cubs, the only point i was trying to make is that you were a complete hypocrit in this issue, when you yourself made the same comments i did in a bit of a nicer way AND you knew for a fact it's not the first time i've posted that sort of thing to an update thread. I find it amazing that you and people like you can tell me what i meant with my post, i brought shit here because it got started on a board it didn't belong, nothing more nothing less.
 
I bait Vang because we're on the same side. He's a dick, I'm a dick, neither of us hide it, but we rarely disagree so it's kind of fun to needle him in an obviously joking way.

I wasen't attempting to bait anyone... see that's what i don't get. Everyone just up and asumed i was out to bash on vang :roll: gimme a break, i already told you guys we met in bastok and he told me he was an elitist asshole who lords his uberness over people. If i had wanted a confrontation i'dve blatantly acted on that, but i didn't... hell ask firestreak, or pony, or strid ... if i wanna talk shit about you i'll pick you out and start shit, vang's responses were crude yet poinient, hence i had no reason to start talking bullshit to him. If you'd really like to know who the post was directed at on large it was legalus' bitching about how he dropped so much money on his PCC, but i didn't want to start any shit on a general board so i limited my responses to "everyone bitching" which i've done a million times with no such reaction warranted or otherwise from anyone in particular, who exactly needs the thicker skin here?

Do yourself a favor and search up some of my posts before assuming things like this. I'm all for handling my own business, however i'm attempting to not be the drooling flameboard moron and continue to go over the same thing for 20 pages simply to up my post count. My point was made, you yourself saw it a couple pages back. Do us all a favor and find a better target for your useless flame responses.
 
i could care less if you went after vang or not, the fact that i said earlier is you called out the people who where bitching and whining. yes they know who they are. you told them to basically stfu and get a life.

take that silly doe in headlights face off, and man the fuck up to the fact that you went in their with your fists up, got knocked down, then while still in a daze, scheduled a fight in the FB. pre-fight interview with me showed you still didn't know what the hell you were talking about, then when vang threw a couple jabs you folded up like a napkin.

but you weren't done, you charged at the ref for not cancelling the fight, so the ref knocked your ass out too.

now you are in here preaching the FB is such a disgrace and all this other banter associated with people who get owned when initiating fights. you should of saved face when cubs first suggested, and again when you quit the thread, and again when you quit the thread....ya.
 
dude, READ MY OTHER POSTS, this is my style. I'd rather have a talk about the update than sit and listen to people whine and bitch b/c they're going to get "nerfed" i've done it a million times. No fists, no hostility, no nothing .. the only one who has jumped me for it aside from vang is cubs and we went round for round on one or two nin/rng nerf thread without having to resort to acting like children or cubs having to play the "my char's better than yours so stfu" card, give me a break.
 
again .. it should also be noted i didn't initiate anything but the flameboard topic so that not only did he have a reason to talk shit, which he already started doing, he had an open venue in the proper board to do it. I love how you waffle from understanding something to being just as ignorant as your first post. I'm not going through this over and over, i honestly don't hold as much importance on an internet msg board as most people and am content to leave it as it is, like i said: i made my point, anyone with half a brain can understand both sides of it.

I didn't intend to have personal shit started elswhere and when it was i brought it here where it belongs.

Vang took my post wrong and jumped my shit on a personal note instead of coming up with a good defense for all the whinning and bitching and made himself look like the tool not only he himself but numerous other people have told me he is.

Its funny that you bring up this piece of equipment.

I understand how with something like the empy pin and the boots and what not taht it actually affects the stats of a player so they should be worn - the +3 dex and agi of course is going to have an effect on your character.

But as far as I know, an astral earring is only +25 mp. Correct? So by not having this piece I'm only out 25mp. So for 1.5 million (is that what it is at right now?) Which I could be spending on any number of things that might help my MND or INT or what have you, I should shell it out for another 25 mp. I also play three other jobs, and there are many things that I would rather buy for those jobs that will help my stats rather than shove 25 extra mp in my taru butt.

My point is, I'm tarutaru, I have pretty decent gear (astral, electrum, full AF, etc) and during battles, I RARELY ever run out of MP. What in the world is that extra 25 mp really going to do for me? I'd much rather spend the money on staves, or a cloak, or what have you. Are you insinuating that after 60 I can no longer be an effective white mage because I am missing 25MP? I can't get behind that.

Or are you saying for other races you should have an astral earring? I mean, do you get my point? I have enough MP as it is with all the other gear I'm carrying around. Do you really think that that 25 mp for a taru is gonna make the difference between a good white mage and a bad white mage?

For WHM and SMN, there is no stat more beneficial than MP or MP Refresh. By level 60 you should easily be able to afford, even by poor WHM standards. And as far as "knowing" jack shit about me, shut the fuck up Panda, you don't know anything. I'm a college student, you know that place you go when you don't want to work at a fast food place like you. In the summer I'm home, in the school year I'm on my own. And seen your picture and I apprenty = right on the mark about you. I wouldn't touch your ugly skank ass with a 10 foot pole.
 
when he said earrings, think he meant rings, as for my post, i think you're right about that.

he categorized astrals not as being leet, but having reached a certain lvl/rank to be able to obtain items like emp pin, leap boots, and astrals.

maybe one of his expectations is that as you gain more experience for you character you should also be working at making your equipment match up.

I used to think i was pretty leet, although this thread is the first time ever really using that word lol. but i started to xp with some of the other rngs on our server and am now very humbled by my gear.

my definition would be someone who can pimp themselves out for any job without thinking twice about the gil they are spending.

I didn't say I couldn't afford it. I said there were other things that I would rather spend my money on for other jobs than an extra 25 MP.
Not to mention that I also said, i BARELY EVER RUN OUT OF MP with the pool that I have now. That extra 25 mp is really going to make that big of a difference to me, you think?

Ok first of all, I was making a joke based on the point of the thread and the fact that I was sincerely asking you a legitimate question followed up by a stupid insult. No, I don't know you, I was making a joke about the scenario, it was pretty funny to me, RE FUCKING LAX. I also don't work at a fast food restaurant. I also have a college diploma. If you're going to sling shit, at least be funny.

As far as my picture, if you really want to go there sugar.. I might be a little in the chunk, but I can lose that weight sweetheart, you are always going to be a monkey.. and at least I don't need my mom to comb my stomach and back before I go to sleep every night so that my nipples and sorry excuse for a dick dont get tangled up in all my fur..

Firestreak, sweetie, quit with the insult slinigng and take a minute to actually answer my question in more depth instead of just pitching that MP is needed more than anything in the whole world.. I brought up some issues I have with the whole MP thing and you ignored them.. Please back up your statement with other reasons why.
 
It's simply to put an acceptable amount of gil into your job based on the means you have to make gil. So once you get to a level that you can afford astral rings easily there's no excuse to not have it.

It's like a THF past 45 without LL or Hairpin. You have TH2 and you can solo them both easily. Or you can simply make money easily even by farming with your capabilities, That is unacceptable. A level 15 MNK with level 5 gear, that's a guy who doesn't know any better because he just started playing the game.
