There's no -skill- involved in this game. If you have crappy level capped gear I'm not going to do level capped events with you. Who doesn't have 60-capped gear? Gimps, that's who.

There's probably a reason I'm not doing level capped events with you or your linkshell if that's your attitude about level capped events. Have fun with your linkshell taking unnecessary risks. I'll stick to doing events with Willian and other people who actually keep gear around for situations like this.

Hell, Ninja has practically the same 50 and 60 capped gear. There's no way Dark can be pimped out at 50 if they have gimpy 60-capped gear.

To the OP: Before flaming, make sure you didn't leave the gas on for like, an hour, before you strike the match.

I've never felt quite the same need to stress over people's level capped gear, unless whatever the capped run is is particularly difficult. If they're going into a fight they've done before, where they know they don't need particularly good gear to win, I won't let it bother me much. My capped gear, after all, isn't as good as it could be, largely because I so rarely do capped activities. It's still decent mind you, just not great.
 
Unless you're brain-dead, no, there's no skill involved in this game. Unless counting to 3/4 is considered a skill I'm afraid that the amount of "skill" in this game is comparable to turning your shower on in the morning.

The only skill in this game is knowing what gear to wear. Which coincidentally is what this flame is about.

And that's all that really matters. An attempt is better than blatantly horrible gear.

I just wanted to get in on topic and say that sometimes I run around whitegate in <30 crap because I just ran a tactics pearl and threw on whatever I had, and I haven't taken it off yet. Oh, and sometimes I amuse myself by throwing on a mushroom helm and AF head on waters or darksday just to watch the regen go off.

So please don't flame me if I'm not in my tp or ws gear in town.

I generally sit around in full Relic (well, 5/6) on my PLD and DRK, just because I like the way it looks. I only actually use 2 pieces on my PLD and 0 (aside from spell macros) on my DRK, but, like I said, it looks cool.

Someday when I start getting COR Relic (assuming they ever make any) I'll start wearing that too, unless it looks painfully stupid.

Ok antor i realize what you are saying, if this was a bcnm have never done I would have prepared myself a lot better. To be honest i tried to get moketsu
(lv 54 drain katanas) but none were in stock but the most important thing is I have done this bcnm a dozen times and know exactly what would suffice. I wasn't gonna go all out and pimp myself for something i do on rare occasions and have to sell teh gear again. I have too many jobs to mess with gear for something that takes a few mins. I know my whm and i know my thf as i have party and done events with them multiples times. We all know our jobs and we killed mob simple as that. If this was mission or cop quest hell yeah i am ually prepared with top gear.

Zyndara put its best her whole post is exactly how it is. You don't want to do events with Uzor and his ls base on the assumption that they don't pimp themself for capped events thats fine. But he is a pretty experience player and knows what he is doing. He probably knows exactly how it goes and what his people can handle. An invited stranger who needs the event would be the one who benefited.

I think I have partied with you a couple times Antor and your were a good guy. I hate make enemies with you over something this stupid. BCNM like this one and PCC you really dont need much if you got half decent people who know their job. Why waste time "pimping yourself" for cakewalk events that can be done practicaly naked? However on the contary my philosophy differs. End game like sky ect ect. I want to be pimp as possible no matter how many times we done the event. I always look to upgrade all my jobs but its very hard to be Pimped to the max at one job when you got multiple ones also to merit and support.

This event was done with a friend and an ls member. I would gear better had I answered a shout. My sky ls knows that I have 2 children and make it to 85-90% of most events I have access to. They know I do my job and thats what matters getting the job done, improving gear for end game is something you do constantly. We dont sit around and camp AH for the best lv60 capped gear so we can be super Elite on a bcnm ^^

Agreed, is this antor guy new to the game? how much end-game have you done? Of course it takes skill, it's not rocket science.... but any dumbass can't do half of things established people that have been playing for a while and work with skilled people in their ls's.

/shrug, my opinion.
