If you're so interested in the way others cook their steaks or where to find a Logan's or Red Robin's, why not make a resturant/cooking thread? You don't have to ignore anything anyone says, this is a public forum and just because I'm participating in a thread you take no particular interest in, doesn't mean I or anyone should tell you to ignore it or stop reading. Again, kudos on making assumptions on my particular stance on something. I haven't brought my personal life into any thread, the things we have spoken about that have been brought up in our discussion thusfar are all in-game issues. If I have something personal (read: real life) to speak to someone about, I will most certainly take that into PMs or a version of Instant Messaging. Unless a personal life experience has something to do with a topic at hand, I will not divulge the intracacies of my life to any of you, as you do not matter enough.

A derail is a derail, just because the OP is useless doesn't mean that the topic is any less valid and therefore merits a derail. What makes that different from any other thread then? I'm not exactly sure why you and others are getting so butt-hurt about derails on such worthless content, from OP to end. These 'flames' are nothing but blather and many others will agree. There is nothing interesting going on, were this a serious issue or something with at least some draw, I would not participate in its derailment.

Then you could approach it differently. Your bulldozing in here was completely unprovoked and nothing you say or stomp around about, is going to change that. Try being proactive for once. There isn't shit you can do to change anyones behavior, because you do not have the power or influence to do so, so why not alert someone that does. All you're doing is looking like an ass.

You took that topic and turned it into a pissing contest with Romper about who's the better QB, it had nothing to do with the topic which was actually kind of serious. As I have said before, everyone here is a hypocrite and I'm not denying that I got sore on you about that thread. Difference is, that thread we disagreed on, had substance. It had a point, much unlike this and many other of the recent flames.
 
Meeze does have a point though, Morwenny. The derailing has gotten somewhat out of hand of late. And it has been in nearly every Flameboard topic. Yes, I have participated in some of it myself, namely the Arby's derail, but that's because that was a fairly unique derail which involved a lot more people than the usual crowd--it felt more like a real conversation than the common derails, which are usually the same 3-4 people hitting on each other. Whatever thread that Cmdrfly just locked a bit ago--I forget the thread, but it had turned into literally pages and pages of it, amusing only to the people involved and irritating to the rest of us hoping for some fresh meat.

I understand that people get bored at work or something. And a certain amount of joking around is fine, but pages and pages of it is quite excessive--even the Arby's/steak thing got out of hand, because now people are trying to do it in every thread, and that's obnoxious, too. And before you say "Well the content of the flames blow, so why not derail?", I'd rather read a shitty flame than a shitty flame that turned into six pages of you and Lec and Romper flirting back and forth.

I'm not going to tear you a new one, but it would be nice if you guys calmed it down just a bit.

That point's been made and agreed upon, what was being addressed was the approach he used and the colorful terms used in reference to those he was confronting about the derails. Also a point I'm leaving alone from here...

If it really rubs you that hard; you're more than welcome to ask them to drop it. If they're jerks and they won't? Mods can lock the thread and issue a warning to the offending parties. I'll definitely agree that the Arby's thing was rather popular, but it's just another derail and the only difference is more people came out of the woodwork to participate. I'm not an Arby's fan, but I like some of their sides for snacks.

I know you and I think we're ok friends, if it really bothers that much, I'm surprised you weren't straight up and just asked me to cut it out since I've been labeled the leader of the troupe.

You and your boyfriend have known me quite some time and should know me better that if something's bothering a friend/LSmate of mine and it's something so petty, that odds are stacked in your favor that I'll leave it alone to maintain a peaceful relationship in place.

Agreed, until I changed my display options so I wasn't viewing the max per page anymore, I didn't realize how many "pages" existed for those who have the minimum per page set as their default and can see how that would be a pain in the ass.

I wouldn't say this, time and time again good flames have been derailed... Even if just to get back on track of the OP or whatever other "relevant" tangent/derail the thread went off on or die. I'll go flirt with Romper in AIM, should the desire strike me. ;x

If people are getting bent that bad out of shape about it? I agree it would be nice to chill out and I'll be taking that step in a moment as far as this thread goes. Plenty of other threads to play in! =D
