First off, I wanna start things off with people in general. This isnt based about the lower lvl ppl, or the people who barely have experience in these departments...It's the people who have played this game upon years on years and STILL do not have a clue.

If you're interested in events such as ENM, Nyzul, Assault in general, be nice, and respectful and do not fucking do it with me, or other people if you're the following:

First off you have the RL vs IG person.

Want to make a stupid fucking excuse thats more times than none not true...when you're the cause of the loss.

Excuses:

Throwing up so have to afk alot. Not to be mean, do something that wont require your attention fulltime if you need to afk constantly. Should be lying down and sleeping instead.

Eternal Injuries(This is going to sound bad but...)If you have eternal injuries, I would be playing a game, going to work, doing NOTHING, till I was better. Fuck, that shit can kill you if you don't take care of it. Let alone take pills that make you way out of it to be able to be in the right mind anyways.

IF these excuses are true, then why the fucking hell are you people playing with something like that wrong with you? I won't go into specifics, but I've had some pretty far-fetched excuses given to me in my times. Listed a few above.

Maybe if you'd treat your RL body better or make sure its taken care of...then maybe you won't have people like me riding your ass when you have something wrong with you that royally fucks up your gameplay...or aggrivating/wasting other people's time. It sounds mean but shit come on, if you're wanting to have a fun time...take care of yourself before you get on a game you shouldnt be on in the first place.

You have the people who are plain outright stupid:

People who want to join something, such as ENM for example...been playing this game for 5yrs(So they claim), you make a fucking shout, saying you want to do an ENM. They don't know what an ENM is, thats quite fine.

You explain it to them, they ask the level cap. And how many people you have.

First off, your shout specifically STATES the level cap, and the [1/??] or whichever amount of people you currently have. If you're going to be as blind or numbskulled to ask to Join something, and not even bother reading what it is, or what the person shouting is doing. Do. Not. Fucking. Join.

More times than none, you're not going to know whats going on, bring the right stuff needed to do it, or fuck it up completely. Not saying this because you're not a good player, Saying this because you are plainly outright ignoring everything thats being said around you.

That makes you the kind of person that goes to a mission, KNOWING the leader said to bring poison pots because the mob sleep spams, or echos because the mob silenced...then you cause
1: Downtime because you're not helping. Or inable to help.
2: Effort in a slot more useful. Because you do not want to come prepared and plan to leech every damn thing you get in this game.
3: People's time.

I am all for having fun in this game, need poison? Need Echos? ask me, I'll supply the shit if you run with me, sure. Ask anyone I'll fucking hand it to you. But don't take advantage of it...and don't go knowing 1 person can fuck up an entire persons night.

Leechers, who just leech everything in general and expect you to do everything for them, and nothing for you:

Are you stupid? Are you fucking retarded? You going to leech your way through everything, and get all the shit you may or may not want, but in the end you'll still be a steaming rotten pile of the most gigantic shit blob that even fat albert can't push out his ass. Do yourself a favor, go take a rantro rod and shove it up your ass after you smolder it with hot ash. Can have something else that burns your asshole for a change.

Whiners:

People who bitch and moan and complain they can not do ANYTHING, or no one is shouting to DO anything...in shout...YET they fucking DECLINE to go do the very thing THEY were bitching about...when they are asked.

Hell they not doing shit but standing in whitegate noting planned, don't wanna do it? Just wanna sit there, and bitch more? Do everyone a favor and log off, don't bitch if yer not going to accept help when its being offered..then bitch more later that you should of went and give some excuse as to why they should redo/rehelp you. Laughing at people, because they attempt another run at something because their last one Either: A: Failed. or B: Won, but people had to go.

Too many times I see people just ASSUME the group lost, tough shit who cares...shit happens right? Cant always beat something, can't always win...

But don't go in whitegate and try to point out, or try to make someone look like they suck because you have nothing more to do than to sit at home and stick a tyco truck up your ass and twist it sideways and spew the words that come out of your mouth while you enjoy being butthurt that you didn't get to go, or because people hate you in general. Wow long sentence.

Off side for this, then you have the SAME people, think they lost, and STILL try to make them look bad...even if they DIDNT win...and make people think otherwise. What kind of people are you?

This is a game, who cares blah blah blah, but I get so sick of others, and hell I'll even say myself here, get pissed on by shitheads like you.

I'd rather fucking see you burn in a smoldering blaze of fire, while twisting your eye, with a hot...sodering....iron...while you scream demonic howls of agony and pain JUST so I can have that chill go up my spine to see you slowly die and wallow in pain while my anger is eased by your passing. I almost sliced my finger off so I can only play with one hand, and umm blood makes me Urp so I might have to afk a few times.. and I'mma take some pain meds so I can play, wanna go do an ENM? :)

In all seriousness tho, this really makes me angry too, people kill others time then say.. well I have to afk every 5 min to do this or that etc. If you don't have the time to dedicate to play, it's really simple don't play. I completely understand the random afks here and there for rr or drinks or w/e but when they know they can't devote the time to playing, it drives me crazy. Just not quite so passionately I guess. lol

I guess this is just reminding me not to expect logical decisions from people. You obviously didnt know that I got a job offer in IL when I moved there and someone from FFXI allowed me to live at their place. I do play this less, I play almost half as less as I used to. Got a job, don't have time to piss off in game as much anymore.

With even less time, I don't care to put up with people like I posted above anymore, I USED...to have a very high tolerance for them...then when you have little time...you want to spend it having fun winning doing stuff...not dyingdyingdying/wasting 3-6hrs shouting and doing a mission to loose it or have someone try to skull fuck your self-esteem.

Thats the Main reason I made this post, don't fucking piss peoples time or make their gaming experience down the shithole just because you want to be a dumbshit(Not you, but you know what I mean).

Tonight was my fucking breaking edge of dumbshits, and no offence to you, but before posting a post ...replying about shit I had posted before in the RL section, know what you are talking about. Or at least know the updates before you open your mouth.

About the bitching what people are doing in their lives? I could give a fuck, its common sense..IF the people not lying, to fucking do other shit IRL before you get on this game or take care of it. Instead of either making lying excuses to excuse your tub of stupidity...or if you're really fucking fucked up like you say, why are you on a damn game to begin with. Its stupid.
 
Or how about we all leave the RL stuff from RSI in RSI where it belongs? I think thats a much better idea!

I would remind you of something. You can just as easily put the controller down as the other guy, if it's making you so mouth-frothingly angry.

Seems like you're getting your panties in a wad over a bunch of pixels and a face that probably looks nothing like the guy at the other end.

Xzerper, I agree with alot of what you said. About people messing things for others and such. Even more with the people who say they are bored but dont want to do ANYTHING. But...what will posting like a mad person about it do? <.< People don't change and getting angry over it does nothing. Just take a break from the game if it bothers you that much, or stay away from those type of people. You say you have RL issues right now, probably the best time possible to live without FF for a while. If the game is stressing you out more, you shouldn't be playing. Everyone needs a little break after a while -_-.

I agreed, I think you need a break from FFXI. There is so many things to explore outside of FFXI, you should go out there and explore them! Just make sure if you buy something, don't pay in gil :awesome:
 
Should a person devote themselves to themselves before a game? Yes. Should they know when to hit the sidelines and not waste others' time? Yes. While I kind of agree with some points made, and not with others, I definitely don't think this thread is needed or helping anything.

I agree with Sneaky. It's a key tenet in my Dynamis shell that "You and yours > FFXI." I can't force people to abide by it, but I can expect it.

Getting up-in-arms and flailing about when someone chooses to do an event with you, and opting to keep said person in your group...I dunno. I'd think that it's a fair walk to most ENM zones, and you could tell if someone's heart was in it by the time you actually get there. Same with Nyzul, where most runs are done with 2+ tags. By the first run's completion, if they don't seem like they're pulling their weight, I'd have a conversation and/or removal from group.
 
thats why you do events with people that value your time as your value theirs. its pretty bad if you decide not to come on something that you said you will, worse is that people relying on you for certain thing, like a healer or tank.
