What is wrong with people?

X my buddy, my pal, you need to chill. I was with you the other night when some of this BS started, and I know the feeling of having limited game time, and yet being unable to do anything worthwhile with that time. Unfortunately, its a fact of life that people can, and will be dumbasses. No matter how hard you try, unless every single person you run Nyzul, ENMs, or BCNMs is a person you know, its not guaranteed that theyre going to be good, smart players and pull their own weight.

Give you an example: My Nyzul group is made up of a group that, according to wiki and other sites, wouldnt be able to make it anywhere in the 30 mins given. But, because we all pull our weight and rise to the challenge, we have all made it to floor 25 and done multiple boss runs for everyone to get the feet gear they want.

Try to relax, maybe take a break from doing endgame activities and go farm, or do some Campaign, or camp an NM or two, do SOMETHING that isnt as stressful dude. Your sanity isn't worth it. Peace out bro.

Seriously X, calm down, take a step back, this is a game, it's not worth getting all worked up over, same as people on the forums, don't lash out like a cornered viper at any who disagree with you. Go out for a drink, find a woman, get married, have a baby.... all of those usually coexist with each other and all of which help take your mind off of the game... believe me I know, I haven't even touched the game since I got married in July... and I just recently delved into my wife's laptop and fixed it and now I'm stealing the interwebs! Chilax and enjoy life bro.

Everybody has thier own list of " People I will never do shit with again" list. Its a good list to have. I have one. lol But, then again when I get too frustrated I just find something else ingame to do or another game to play.

End game stuff is also a pain, when you start the game you already know what jobs are most used. So if you choose to level a job as your main, and people want you on that job all the time, seriously you asked for it. I stopped doing endgame. And honestly, I'm much happier for it.. lol .

X, is just having ff overload...he will get over it, we all do. One way or the other.

Few things to do instead of getting all worked up over those silly shouts in Whitegate:

1. Stay out of Whitegate. Kinda easy to do and you are still able to have a normal conversation with your friends in tells =). Hell you can even keep your Linkshell on and speak normally to your fellow comrades in there.

2. Wanna do ENM, Nyzul runs, Bcnms or things like that? Do it with your friends and Linkshell comrades =). That way you should not really have those issues you refer to. I dont really know you, but you have been around for quite a while I assume, so you should have a nice Flist build up?

There is no reason to get all worked up over something that silly. Yes, there are some strange players roaming the streets of FFXI. But they will not just go away cause you tell them to die or to piss off.

I rarely go to Whitegate - I dont like it there. Its like an area full of retards (not all of them are), and I will never ever try to form a pickup pt again, cause frankly you do not know what to expect.
Yes it can be smooth, but then again, its possible it wont.

Just ignore those shouts man. Play the game like you want to play it. And if it bothers you all that much, just dont go to Whitegate =). Or stay in a nearby zone or Moghouse if you are on seek. It works =).

You make shout parties then set your standards far too high for people you don't know and then get agitated about it. That's your problem right there. If you actually "value your time" limit the instances you need a party for people you know.

I agree with a lot of the post.

Do you now how many times I did Promyvion Mea? 24. No joke, 24, F***ing times.

Why?

Cause 20 of the times we'd get there, and find out the noobs didn't bring necessary items, often we'd walk in with no more than 2 animas. I know it was a lost cause, and only went in as a easy D3 out via no exp loss death to enm.

Finally I had enough, promy static, 6 pshycoanimas, 6 hysteroanimas, and 3-4 terroanimas. 2 Summoner and a ranger. We walked in and anally raped that bastard in a minute flat.

To all the noobs that don't have the time/funds/patience for things like promy, don't do it. You just end up wasting the rest of our time.

After geting to 2-5 with the static, I knew school and work were coming up, so I intentionally left cause I didn't want to be the douchebag that held the rest of the ls back.

Another example. After 5 hours of fishing marlins straight to get my pirates chart, I found 2 summoners to help me do the pirates chart quest (20 cap, 3 mob, 3 person BCNM in valkurm)

I spent a good 10 mins giving the summoners their basic instructions. Summon ramuh, 2 hour as soon as they pop, and kill the mobs...

And yet somehow the one summoner couldn't figure out these basic instructions, and asked which mob to attack, and then we died.

Ugh.

Dont forget the JP onrys who consider themselves above the NA players and refuse to do anything for them because they consider it "above them".

Or because they do not speak a single word of english and do like to talk when they exp.

Not everyone is a racist.

Never really cared about those JP ONRYs in search chats.

What I do hate is when Im in Oztrja doing G3 and want to sell back the Flee boots I just bought to solo it. Then theres people in door room who can light the torch for me and when I kindly ask them to open it I get back (English) (No Thanks).

You do realize that means they don't understand what you're asking or it is too hard for them to understand, right? Right? Right.

Most Japanese people are required by LAW to learn English in their schooling. Not complete English, but required to learn at least basic english.

Highly doubt it's because most do not understand you, they understand most certianly. They just do not like speaking the language other than their own.

I know this because I learned JP through several other JP who taught me stuff about their culture, and their laws in school. While teaching me their Romanji,(little hard to learn Kanji).

Only way a JP doesn't know what you're talking about is because they A: Ran at one of the few schools who didn't teach it or require it, or they failed horribly in class. Or they are the older 30-40s community who never had those laws before they did school/while they did schooling. And I doubt the majority of the adults in Japan play FFXI over the kids.

I am not saying JP are bad people, alot are really nice if you can understand them yourself, instead of expecting them to listen to you.

But to get back to you Z.Z, mainly most NA are rude fucks, and that gives a bad impression to most the of the community. One person ruins it for everyone else. I'd go into another touchy subject, but same reason for them too. One kind of person, makes the rest seem bad. So biased opinion more or less.

As I already mentioned, it is too hard for them to understand sometimes. In a Japanese LS I am a member of, Talking in pure english usually gets a "I don't understand" translated back at me - although sometimes romanji works. I'd have to say it's player dependant, since some do understand pretty clearly, and others either don't, or it's too taxing to try.

nyzul is a pain, I'm not going to lie and because 90% of it of the chances you take with random people the other 10% I reserve for slightly less obnoxious shit like soulflayers and and frogs...which aren't so hard with a good group. There are some random other factors in this half of the 10% that I can't think of

the other 5% I reserve proudly for Dahaks...

if you need someone for nyzul on boss floors I'm usually free though

This reads to me as. "I don't care about this flame Xzerper, I am in here to decieve you that I do, but instead get invited to Nyzul Isle with you on floor 80 40 60 bosses."

You sad sad man you.

OK. Talk to me in game anytime. I know you anyways. You're not a dumbshit or asshole. So OK!

well yeah lol I don't think you're responding to the constructive criticism and/or burns against you and what I wanted to say was already said so yeah shameless plug there=S

but if you were looking for my opinion, it kinda goes as this

what you're saying isn't wrong from what I read(some not all was pretty long) but the person saying should apply himself to what's been said. Although rare that people don't take their advice or acknowledge it, we tend to be objective as humans towards other people's problems than ourselves as a result we can be hypocritical if the person themself doesn't realize this.

I'd delve into it more, but your rl is none of my business and I feel that it had a direct effect on making your flame so I didn't initially post anything pertaining to it. Therefore answering your op would indirectly me be casting judgement on your rl itself.

Is (Gate Breach?) (Can I have it) (please) really that hard to understand unless you're a complete moron? The only reason I could really understand that not being understandable is if the guys who made the auto translate where completely hopeless and so it really did make no sense.

I can understand if you hate the NA players for stupid things they do (I imagine Ive done some of those things in my FFXI career), However refusing to help someone with such a minor task like lighting the torch in a mob free room is pretty assanine if you ask me.

Eeh yeah, Gate breach is a term that comes from Ballista.
And I believe the term {Gate breach} is something completely different in the japanese translation.

A lot of those terms in the auto-translator mean something completely different.
