What was that about Besieged being way too easy?

Screenshot when I somehow manage to access Imageshack again.

Massive amount of deaths from this besieged. The beastmen actually made it through at least one set of gates (didn't see if they got any farther).

People eventually won by.. you guessed it.. employing Dynamis-esque tactics (or at least, my alliance did).

Grats to all, on winning an actually hard besieged for once!
 
That besieged was funny. my lv 11 bst evaded the monsters when I got hate 2 times in a row.
 
What lvl besiege was it? And how many people were there?

I did a search while we were waiting for the trolls to arrive. There were at least 250 people there before it started.

The flans (of which there were at least half a dozen) opened with Sleepga. Quieren got nuked down in a one-shot attack. The trolls brought flans, scorpions, bomb clusters and some other roach-like thing I didn't recognize. Most of the alliance I was in ended up dead at one point or another.

My homepoint was in Al Zahbi, so I HP'd and had to wait for them to breach the gate before I could get back into the action. It was mucho sweet, exactly the sort of experience I wanted.

the good news is we have tested out, the hard way, and proven that you lose no exp in besieged.
 
Actually the Troll's at level 5 today made it past the first gates, its quite good, alot of people got killed, we had about 200+ of our own mercenarys, but they put up a really good fight, and almost made it to the NPC's at the middle of the sqaure, first beseiged i've done. And no, it wasnt too easy.

To Hailifirien (and anyone else who hp'd Al Zhabi and waited), there is a place on the battlements over the main gates where the rampart has been torn away (doubtless in a previous engagement with the beastmen). You can drop down into the fray from there. The only besieged's I've been to I did not die, so I cannot be sure that you'll have access to the upper levels, but I believe this should work.
 
Wow. Finally it looks like what I was hoping for.
 
No xp loss sounds like a great thing. It won't discourage people that are cautious over their xp, such as me. Also prevents the reqiurement of balanced parties...although that still may be ideal.
 
Parties aren't even required. You can attack anything regardless of claim. Like Dynamis.
