My name, Runekane, well...

I tried Rune, as I wanted to be a RDM, and I thought a RDM with the grey hair, the name Rune just FIT (helped that back when I was like 6 playing FF on NES, my RDM in the party was named RUNE with the 4 letter limit, it just fit)...

I figured I'd try out some of the random names as I was out of ideas after 1... then... Runekane appeared! Hey, I'm going to be a RDM, I'll use a Staff! I'll be Runekane! (Didn't know that RDM dont' really get ANY staves 'til 51) I get a lot of tells asking if I'm Hawaiian, apparently Runekane means "Spell man" or something in Hawaiian, haha! How nice to have something that MEANS something in another language!

My mule, Cattiebrie, is based off a character from R.A. Salvatore's cast of characters involving Drizzt do'Urden in his famous D&D novels...

Other mule, Marshall, is based off one of my fave D&D characters I've played, a wandering human bard from the Dragonlance setting, post Cataclysm, who WAS a part of the Solamnic Knights, but dropped his identity and afficialtion with the group when they turned into a band of murderous theives whom the public feared and hated. Dropped his training to become a knight and took up the traveling live of a bard, in search of any information that could be dug up to see what happened back when the cataclysm occured, trying to clear the names of the gods and his chapter of knights... yeah.... I'm a dork, please feel free to come get me during homecoming week and take a paddle to my bum. Just be prepared to have a struggle on your hands :D

Jobe and Anglis' names are also based off D&D characters as well... as is Roin... *looks at watch* Okay, time to go have a life now!
 
My name's from a Saturn srpg, Dragon Force. He's one of Wein's Generals. That's basically it. I was going to play warrior and he kinda fits the bill. I like the name too. Although i've heard mixed pronounciations, (like rudgrr versus rudjer) either way is fine with me.
 
My name is the first three letters of my actual first name (Kel), plus a very, very shortened version of the word Quicksilver. I started as a thief, and wanted something sneaky and quick sounding. So I figured Kel Quicksilver. Well that's too long and needed a space, so I was gonna try Kelquicksilv. That doesn't sound right, so I shortened it to Kelsilv, which I like. Many people in the game just call me Kel, which is cool by me, considering many people in RL call me that too, so it feels natural.

Sword of Truth series = A++++ i recognized your name kahlaan when i first saw you oh so many months ago lol

as for me, Mistaya is from a series by Terry Brooks, called magic kingdom for sale, (he writes the Shannara series as well as Word adn the Void) its an old series, early 80's but it was very good, and whats hilarious is the character mistaya i really didnt like all that much, shes the kid of a dryad and a human but was raised by an evil witch and is really a very odd person altogether. However i loved the name it had such a beatiful ring to it i picked it up and have used it in almost everything i ever played since, from starcraft to diablo to KOTR.

edit: i nearly cried when i found out there were no 2 bladed staves in this game as My female hunter/warrior/general buttkickers have always used the double bladed staff. I had hopes since in ff9 Zidane used a bunch of them but alas ; ; :cry:

my mule's name is Crystyana based on a shannara fan fic i have been writing in for the past 6yrs or so, Although she prefers crysta <3 and is also the name in my one-day-to-be-published-i-hope novel series ^^;;

Wonko The Sane was a character in So Long And Thanks For All The Fish by Douglas Adams. He could speak to dolphins, and, after finding out that a packet of toothpicks actually contained instructions for use, he believed the world to be crazy and so named the inside of his inside-out house the outside of the asylum. Funny guy. He claims that angels that wear Dr. Scholls sandals, eat nachos, and do lots of coke come to visit him.
 
Mine comes from a book I once Read. She was a Badass Assasin from Egypt, and i figured it would fit a Mage, Also it is somewhat Related to Allah = God in Arabic. but that's just because Azrael, my Handle throughout my Gaming Years, was taken and i WILL NOT settle for a crappy imitation 8).
 
Hmm can't remember if i ever answered so here goes.

I am a video game designer/writer. I am working on a game and book combo...one of which will hopefully come through, based on the same story I made up. Well there was NO way I was gonna use either of my main characters names cause that seemed so easy to me and I didnt want them associated with anything but MY story.

They were Straith (main), Rikkael (lol took Sammael from Robert Jordan and mixed it up a bit, and Ivhion (think i snatched this directly from Jordan as the name is so pimp but I cant recall as I havent read them in forever). But of course I had limitless other names I could have picked so I looked for one and found a guy named Faedryth...some minor king or something in the world of Lycra (mine ^^). Now I never thought it was as cool as Straith or the others, but now I love it! Almost chose Felix from Golden Sun as he is now the name I use on my RPG characters. Not modeled after him, just love the name.

So Faedryth I am.
