What's your most valuable item(s)?

Used to be my 3/5 homam set when no one had any pieces !


Now...I guess my Algol I've been wanting for 2 years :D
 
First of all I like to say that camping is the most enjoyable thing for me in FFXI, I know a lot of people hate it but it's the cheapass's way to getting great gear; if I can avoid paying a hefty sum of money for it then I'll most likely camp it or organize a run for it.

I've avoided paying 1.3mil so far(prices at that time, maybe more) for camping spider torque, empress pin, and bounding boots; it's not so great when the nm doesn't drop it very often but it makes you appreciate your gear a lot more when you get it.

A thing I appreciate very much is Jamal making my first HQ(1/1) on austere staff.

That tidbit made it better, karma paid off big time next was something I worked for a few weeks to get, and a tricky nm to spot, but eventually I got lucky

For like 6k gil i almost did that once >_>; I saw it highlight in the sell button when talking to the warp npc near outpost

I saw that once. I store my YYR first when I'm changing jobs for a party or if I'm farming so I don't drop or sell it by accident. I dropped my Carby mitts once and asked a GM to get them back cause I died like 4 times trying to get the offering and I didn't wanna go through that again.
 
Going to have to say my Wlegs. ^^

Finally got them Saturday. I was top lotter in my shell for the past 6+ months and 25+ Kirin's before they finally dropped again. Thank you Serapis. Now to work on kitty pants. :)
 
My Sorcerer's Petasos, because my Dynamis linkshell is honestly the best linkshell and people I've ever had the pleasure to be around and work with.

Valor Surcoat for the same reasons as above.

Zenith hands. My first sky piece ever.

Noble's Tunic. The synth item was bought for me via LS points for my WHM by a friend that has since quit the game as his last act in the LS we were in. Tyrr, like a brother to me and still one of my closest friends. I'll never get rid of it. When I finally leave Vana d'iel, it will stay with my character as I shut down for the final time.

Sniper's +1 (I'll always remember serise getting pissed cause i made 7 in a row)
koga chainmail (my favorite looking piece of nin gear)
koga tekko (My buddy Nikoloi made them drop for me!!)
Hauby+1 (Craftaholics 1 and only hauby+1)^^
Rogetsu (cause i know it'll be kikoku in the near future)

My pearlsack, I've had many fun times in my ls, I left it behind for 3 months but couldnt stand being away.
 
I have 2.

One is a signed Blue Cape. Signed by Arutha -- He was a good friend, hope RL treating him well.

My Lu Shangs is the other. It was my claim to fortune during extreme inflation, and I like to think of it as my legacy to this game. When I came back to the game, I worked my butt off to get my Lu Shangs back, and then through my Lu Shangs I got my HQ staves... so yea~ Lu Shangs for sure.

Because of the joy I had breaking them down and ripping people off.
 
My Igqira Huaraches are probably my favorite thing out of all of my gear. They are quite the rare piece albeit not really that useful. I still get compliments about them due to their rarity now and then. I used to get yelled at by some of my old officers whenever someone saw me wearing them at events XD (+2 enmity 4tl, "Zy get those damned enmity boots off!!") It also makes me remember the group of people who helped me out in getting the shell. I probably had an alliance or so of random friends who stayed there and helped me kill a number of em. Also props to Allexxa for crafting them for me =)

I also value my Lu Shang rod even though I haven't been using it as of late. It is r/ex to me.

My Mercurial Pole also reminds me of the good times I had with CK way back when. I really loved that shell and all of the people who were a part of it.

Thats probably all of my reason-carrying gear that I value. Of course my Dynamis/Limbus armor also means a lot to me, but that really goes without say.
 
Sattva Ring most likely. Reya and I had so much damn trouble getting CoP done, that damn ring represents an enormous amount of frustration for me.

omg, lol. One time I had nothing to do so I decided to camp Biast for that Helm... Spent weeks doing it. Theres a really old thread on here somewhere about my little quest.

I popped him several times, each time I popped him and began to kite so my LS could get there, passerby came and took him. He was difficult to kite because he went yellow so quickly. Was insanely easy to kite, though.
 
Noble's Tunic, because Tongan gave up his lotting rights for 3 months so I could have the Shining Cloth.
