My would have to be my PCA I spent a whole month in that hell hole going 1-6 on argus and 0-4 on LK

My Opo-opo Crown: I can't wear it on my bard yet! But I love that damn thing and I love ALL my buddies that helped me get the items for the quest :)

My Joyeuse: Because I was FORCED by Maseki to go down to SSG with him and one or two others to kill Chary. They got me my joytoy and I never once asked them for it, I love Maseki for that. After I got the joy toy, I remember Maseki making this HUGE train all the way from Chary spawn up to Norg... damn ninja legs lol

My Glory Crown: I was SO so proud of my BrownCoats static for beating Alexander 2/5 :D Our static had more than 6 members, so we had to get the win twice lol Anyway, everyone in the group was fantastic and always put forth their best effort. I'm proud to have this crown that doesn't do jack shit, just because I got it with them ^^

Rajas ring. After my first 3 chars not even getting past prommies I convinced myself I would never ever complete CoP. Chiimi pushed me and organised runs when I was too lazy to do and even came on Chiimi instead of her kitty Shaari (who needed Promathia fight) just so I could get my ring.

My Limbus Linkshell (Shell holder). Me and Chii started this LS before Christmas but didn't recruit till this year. Our first run was with 6 people who apart from Chii knew nothing about Limbus. Our 2nd run was with 12 people and we completely owned Western Temenos (Easy I know but still) with 50mins remaining. We've got a couple more people for our 3rd run on Wednesday. The feeling I know I will get when our first member upgrades some AF2/gets their 75 coin item I know is going to be one of the best feelings in game i'll ever have.

Ochimusha Kote. After selling my Ochiudo's Kote a while back to fund Dusk Gloves I camped Mee Deggi about 20 times to get these back. The time I got them I was about to warp and give up getting them, Chiimi convinced me to stay and we got them about 5 minutes later.

All in all I think it's obvious that I wouldn't of got where I am or had half as much fun with this game if I didn't have Chiimi by my side. So I think in retrospect my most valuable item this game has given me is my wonderful fiancee Chiimi.

rogues armlets +1- my first af+1 peice i've ever gotten
skadi chausses- still dont exist yet since i need the 25 but i'm waiting patiently.

my blau dolch- I had to sell off the scorpion harness i'd been trying to get for years for this and it was worth it.( every time I farmed the gil the price on SH literally went up 1 mil the day i had the cash for over a year and i had to start farming yet again)

Rajas-COP isn't hard.. getting the people together for it is. I kept on being rejected from many COP groups/pickups because "thf wasn't good for COP" and much to my chagrin a majority of the missions I completed after I got my ninja leveled had thieves in em or used my thf in some way or my ninja wasn't even necessary.

my thf AF boots and sniper ring- Immediately after finishing my af boots i walked next door to ordelles and proceeded to claim every last stroper chyme for the next 6 hours thanks to the extra 15 seconds of flee. After i took a slight accidental vacation from ffxi i came back over a year later for ZM5 and the rmt still remembered the hate they had for me from that day. The sniper rings were from farming the chyme at 40-45 on my thf solo vs the evil Sonicteam and co. It felt so great knowing my rings i earned had nothing to do with those bastards.

my leaping boots- my first NM hunt and second NM i ever saw. went in at lv 30 immediately after unlocking rng for hunting and walked out after spamming wide scan nonstop for an hour with my boots. 1/2.

the Two items i am most proud of are the two items i don't have or could use but the group work need to get the items were much more impressive.

Well, this is a tough call.

I've got a story behind just about every piece of my gear, but I'd say my Sorcerer's Petasos is most valuable to me.

I could go on an on about all the other pieces, but I'd be here all night XD
 
im not really sure. but my YYR comes to mind. just about everything else i have i simlpy bided my time till i got it. my YYR was the only item that has sentimental value attached to it.
 
I'm rather fond of my old DRG AF set, for which many members of an old, mostly dead social LS spent extra time helping me with random raises (kuftal coffer = death trap) and guidance, as well as two long retired friends who came more or less the moment i was done with the helm quest and needed to kill the NMs in the temple.

Also still proud of my bonecraft specs since they took a good two months to build GP for... one of these days I'm gonna do something with my dang craft. Sigh.

Other than that I'm not really too attached to any of my gear specifically. My HQ Barone boots still hold some pull with me but I'm mostly over that.
 
Noble's Tunic- Given to me by a very special person. rawr. Another friend tried to get the tunic first competitively but lost by a day. About 8 million gil (the price of the tunic a long time ago) was distributed to most of the members in the linkshell afterwards.

The WHM AF body- Since everyone chickened out on the AF3 boss, some cranky ass summoner solo'd that bastard with lots of carbuncles. It took forever but it worked.

Cleric's Briault- Reminds me of my short lived dynamis activities and the fun people I met along the way. 5/5 is good but the pancho was icing to the cake. The majority were good players and we accomplished so much with very few members. No regrets staying to help others pick up gear.

Not to mention my friends who I try to keep in contact with. Sadly, the game has lost my interest so I have to bug them on the forums and vent now. ;p
 
Every single one of my signed items because they were made for me by my friends.
 
Gae Assail and soon hopefully a Gungnir. I basically bought the game in the first place because I thought DRGs were awesome. (stfu.)

I have to second this, My W legs save me more times then I can count. Also had to wait 4 months after passing 1st pair to Jinshorty. Was the second rdm to get in my linkshell. In all was like 7 months from time when i figured I would get.

Beside that would have to say my timepiece it rare and a good mog house show piece.

My rdm hat will be when I finally get it, been after that thing for over 2.5 years.
 
My most "valuable" piece of gear I own, in terms of raw gil is my Steppe Belt. Bought it for 1 mil around 1.5 years ago, and its not left my pld's waist. I know I need all the hp I can get. (and I know the Steppe Sash has more hp, but I'm broke)

The most truly valuable pieces of gear I own are:
W. legs - Thank you double W.leg drop and Fury <3 for letting me lot one.
Valor Leggings - These suckers don't leave my feet ever. I'll gladly take a mini-invincible every 5 mins.
Knight's Earring - I thought I'd never do Divine Might.
Whm AF - I <3's it
Pld AF - Looks kickass imo, even though I only wear the body piece nowadays.

And I have a sentimental attachment to my Holy Shield for whm. I love shields.

And my pearl in Fury. I'd of quit ages ago otherwise.

Duelist's chapeau, the only item I wanted from dynamis. Sadly, I could only enjoy the wind+10 defense for 3 days, as it was upgraded into the duelist chapeau +1 the next sunday :D .

I'd have to say Byakko's Haidate, when I finally get it. I've been working for about 8 months and I am now 7th in line, due to a linkshell disbanding when I got in first.

It's weird, some items that other people value greatly in this thread like Temperance Torque just kinda fell into my hands, but Haidate, which people seem to take for granted, eludes my grasp.
