Where were you? (FFVII)

Almost forgetting how badass Sephiroth was due to all the ppl who hopped on the bandwagon and used his name in each and every type of game there was.

(I did this briefly in FPS.)

>_>

Bah, I can't pick a favorite! ; ;

I liked it aaaaaaaaaaaaall.

Although dressing like a chick as Cloud was pretty funny.

One of the sadder moments was in the beginning when the other members of Avalanche bit the dust in death.

Longest? Probably. Eden's pretty long, but haven't seen them run side by side.

Coolest? Naw. FF8 had Doomtrain.

Yeah...that bitch is long, gets a little old after awhile.

I meant cool in a more general term, not necessarily coolest looking. It's cool because it's a bitch to get, and when you finally do get you're like, hell yeah. It's cool too because it's one of the most powerful summons in any RPG. May not do the most # damage, but in comparison with the hp# of the monsters and bosses in the game, it pretty much kills everything in one hit. If I remember correctly it even kills the last boss in one hit - maybe two. And - why do you think I started using Excalibur as a handle? Yup, cause of that summon, that's where my name comes from - King Arthur and the knights of the round table are some of the baddest motherfuckers in any story. Personally, it's my favorite summon.
Oh, and idk about Doomtrain. I only played VIII once, years ago, don't remember much.

Surprised none of you have said the scene where Weapon attacks Mideel, what an awesomely cool scene with Cid running down to kick ass.
When they fired Sister Ray to crush the barrier around the northern Cave and ended up killing Diamond Weapon.
Either of those is probably my favorite scene...it's hard to pick a favorite part of VII, the whole game was just so magnificent.

The walking through fire is also the most cliche FF7 scene. And beating seph with no hands, that's pretty ace.

oh be quiet, you're not even using 'cliche' right. It's the most overplayed scene, and because of that it's lost some of it charm.

The most memorable moment ever came to me when I realized I could beat Sephiroth without pushing a button.

Pile HP+ x2 Master Cover, and an assload of counter attack on cloud, and you win first time he hits you with his wing.

When you get to the point where you just have to use omnislash on the human form of seph, if you do nothing he swings at you once, you counter attack, and win.

I thought I was l33t5a\/\/c3.

Damn....anyone who can figure out something about VII I don't already know earns mad respect. That's some bomb shit bud. Very cool. I'll have to give it a try sometime.

Eden had an awesome payoff for taking so long, you could Boost her up to silly ammounts.

My favourite scene in FFVII is probably when Cloud goes psycho and gives the original Sephiroth the black materia. Lol and to answer the OP I was in my brothers room while he was playing FFVII and we kept talking about if/when they make a FFVII movie that they put the golden saucer in it. Lol guess we went wrong there :P

The Arc summon from FFIX is pretty damn long and probably my favourite. :D

I remember my social life practically revolved around FF7 in 6th grade and prolly most of 7th grade. <.<; lol

My first date scene was with Tifa. In fact, I got her my first few times. Ugh. Nowadays I can't stand her, and always make sure I've got negative points with her. M favorite date scene will always be the Yuffie one~

As far as memorable scenes... there are far too many for me....

The funny thing about that, is Cloud will counter even without Counter materia. I never had Counter Materia on Cloud.

So did I. Doomtrains pretty lame looking. But, the the ability to summon a demonic hellfire railroad crossing on the exact spot your enemies is standing sure is a unique one.

I thought, "What the fuck is Tifa doing here? I thought Aeris was Cloud's love interest in this game".

That was one of the great things about VII, that cutsceen was really the only love story part of the game. There's a few comments here and there, but basically, no love story in VII, and that's awesome.

My favorite memory from that game on my first play through was probably getting my gold choco after many, many, MANY, long hours of choco in-breeding.
Berret was my Cloud's love interest in the game. At least according to my Golden Saucer scene :p

most cliche FF7? how so? :P I don't really remember games before it that did that, perhaps animes, but I think ones with similar scenes came out after the game, hmm, so I wouldn't say cliche works as it wasn't being unoriginal at the time. It's the most shown in all the FF7 games/movies XD that's true. But cliche... hmmm

and tons still play FFIX :P FFIX was awesome. Perhaps not the most original in terms of the game's world and story but it was great. It was meant to be a compilation of the other FF before it into kinda one but in a unique story/world (well fairly unique XD). It's a fabulous game that doesn't get enough credit sometimes, I think. Just like FFX.. FFX was awesome. The only downside of that one was the loss of the world map I loved oh so.

Seriously? People still play IX? No one I know irl has played IX in years. I haven't played it since the week it came out. Although I do want to play it again, being as I don't remember hardly anything about the game. That was the first FF I played too..yeah, sue me, I came in on IX >< I get shit for that from my friends all the time. I need to buy VII-X. In fact come to think of it...I haven't played VIII IX or X since the first play through when they first came out - except X, I played that a second time I think a few months later. I miss those games too >< PS1 rpg's ftw.

Oh. Well...I still think Knights > Trains, but everyone's entitled to their opinion.

Hehe, I need to buy a new FFVIII.. I've had an urge to play it and I can't cause my first disc is all dead T.T

FF10- Yojimbo or Enima.

I don't fully remember where I was. I know I was in either my room or at a friend's house. Funny thing is, I watched it happen while watching someone else play it before I even got to that part. Him and I both ended up being with Aeris during that scene.

Woah woah woah woah woah, I thought people were talking about summons?

Though I do agree, Anima was cool in a creepy way (even if nerfed in the US version, bagh...)

She reminded me of a freaky bondage grandma, horribly enough. Which reminds me of a certain old QCDN member. I think I know what I'm naming Anima next time I play now!

I'm sorry Aniseymour'smama. Wait I can't remember I haven't played X in so damn long.

That's what happens when you are a freshman in high school with no life and a serious video game addiction without a computer.

I also had 3 master Summon/Magic/Command materia, at least 3 of all the blue materia. I never managed to get more than 2 fully loaded enemy skill materias in one game.

One of the hardest Materia to get was "Added Cut". I hate the fuckin glacier.

I also managed to get 3 mystiles in one game. I've only been able to do that once, and I never really figured out how it happened. It was always my favorite armor piece.

I did all this without a guide too. Including beating Ruby and Emerald.

Underwater Materia, if anyone is interested can hold 16,777,215 AP before it stops gaining AP.

Like I said, no life.
